Keiser women’s golf is No. 1 in WGCA NAIA Coaches Poll

In NAIA, Keiser University holds steady at No. 1 after receiving all but one first-place vote.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the results of the most recent WGCA Coaches Poll. This is the second poll of the 2021 fall season.

In NAIA, Keiser University holds steady at No. 1 after receiving all but one first-place vote. Dalton State College remains at No. 2, while Oklahoma City received one first-place vote to move up one spot and round out the top-three.

About the Women’s Golf Coaches Association

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women’s collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 650 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.

Texas, USC lead the way in first Division I WGCA Coaches Poll of the spring

The Texas Longhorns are in the top spot in the first Division I WGCA Coaches Poll of the spring.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Coaches Poll is back.

In the first Division I poll of the 2019-20 spring season, the University of Texas women open up on top after receiving 15 first-place votes.

The Longhorns have done two things this season: win and finish third. They opened the season in third at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, then won their next three events to close the fall. Head coach Ryan Murphy’s squad opened the spring with a third-place showing at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge.

Southern California are second, and received three first-place votes. Arizona State is in third, followed by Duke and Kent State.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) revealed Friday the final WGCA Coaches Polls of the fall 2019-20 season.

In the Division III poll, Carnegie Mellon earned seven first-place votes to sit at the top spot. University of Redlands earned the No. 2 spot with four first-place votes followed by Washington University in St. Louis in third with one-first place vote. George Fox University and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps earned the fourth and fifth spots on the newest poll.
