Stanford remains No. 1 in final Mizuno WGCA coaches poll of 2023-24

Who’s No. 1?

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has announced its fourth and final coaches poll of the spring 2024 season.

In Division I, Stanford remains at the top of the rankings after receiving all but one first-place vote, while South Carolina received the remaining vote to come in at No. 2. Wake Forest and UCLA take the No. 3 and No. 4 spots, respectively, while LSU holds steady at No. 5.

Dallas Baptist University remains the unanimous No. 1 in Division I

Stanford takes top spot in Mizuno WGCA coaches poll for March 15

This is the second poll of the 2024 spring season.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has announced the results of the latest Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll. This is the second poll of the 2024 spring season.

In Division I, Stanford jumped to the top spot after receiving 15 first-place votes, while Wake Forest, the defending national champion, dropped to No. 2 with three votes. UCLA received one first-place vote to climb three spots to No. 3, and South Carolina moved up one spot to No. 4. Rounding out the top five is LSU after jumping five spots.

Dallas Baptist claims the top spot in Division II after receiving nine first-place votes.

These are the first polls of the 2024 spring season.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the results of the most recent Mizuno WGCA Coaches polls.

These are the first polls of the 2024 spring season.

In Division I, Wake Forest opens the spring at No. 1 after receiving all but two first-place votes, while Stanford comes in at No. 2 with the remaining first-place votes. USC and Arkansas come in at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, while South Carolina rounds out the top five.

Nova Southeastern claims the top spot in Division II with 10 first-place votes, while Dallas Baptist and Findlay each received one vote to open the season at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association announced Friday its latest Mizuno coaches polls, and there are some familiar names in the top spots.

Stanford remains the No. 1 team in Division I, with Wake Forest holding steady in second. LSU moved four spots up to third while South Carolina and Oregon round out the top five.

In Division II, Lynn moved into the top spot while Dallas Baptist dropped to No. 2. Emory remains No. 1 in Division III. In the NAIA poll, Dalton State received three first-place votes and is in the top spot while Oklahoma City, which has four first-place votes, drops to No. 2.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has released its first Mizuno WGCA rankings for the spring, and there are some familiar names on top. These are the first of four rankings coming in the spring.

Stanford opens the new year as the top-ranked team in Div. I, though Wake Forest is close behind. The Cardinal got 14 first-place votes while the Demon Deacons received the remaining five.

In Div. II, Dallas Baptist University claims the top spot with eight first-place votes, while Lynn University received the remaining seven votes to open the season at No. 2.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association released its latest Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll, the third of the 2022-23 season, and the Cardinal remain on top in Division I with 12 first-place votes. Wake Forest is close behind at No. 2 with the remaining nine votes. Three weeks ago, Stanford garnered 19 of the 22 first-place votes.

Mississippi State, in the “others receiving votes” category last time, has vaulted to No. 3 in this poll after winning a second consecutive tournament, the Blessings Collegiate Invitational. The Bulldogs also won the Mason Rudolph Championship at the end of September. MSU next hosts The Ally, a two-day event which starts Monday.

Fellow SEC programs South Carolina and Texas A&M check in at Nos 4 and 5.

The Cardinal, the defending national champion, remains No. 1 but instead of garnering all 22 first-place votes that it did in the preseason poll, Stanford received 19 votes this time around, with Wake Forest collecting the other three.

Virginia, meanwhile, jumped seven spots to No. 3. South Carolina holds steady at No. 4, while Texas moved up 11 spots to get into the top five.

San Jose State is 13th but the Spartans did get a first-place vote in this poll.

Stanford is unanimous No. 1 in 2022-23 preseason Mizuno WGCA Div. I coaches poll

The Stanford Cardinal women’s golf team is picking up right where it left off.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has released the results of the 2022-23 preseason Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll.

Picking up right where they left off, the Stanford Cardinal, defending champions of the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship, are the unanimous selection at the top of the poll. Stanford received all 22 first-place votes.

Wake Forest will start the season in the No. 2 spot. Last year’s NCAA runner-up Oregon is No. 3. South Carolina will start No. 4 and UCLA in the No. 5 gives the Pac-12 three of the top-five teams to start the season.

With No. 7 Arizona State, No. 12 USC and No. 23 Arizona, the Pac-12 has six ranked teams in all.

The SEC meanwhile, has nine ranked teams in the preseason poll, highlighted by the Gamecocks at No. 4.
