Alabama has had quite a few transfers over the years. Several have been key losses for the program while others haven’t. Some of the more notable transfers from a season ago were Drew Sanders, Agiye Hall, and Jahleel Billingsley. Others like Taulia Tagovailoa, Eyabi Anoma, and Eddie Smith have all been at their new programs for more than a year.

Some have gone to play for some of Nick Saban’s assistants like Butch Jones (Arkansas State) and Mike Locksley (Maryland). The transfer portal has changed college football and will continue to do so for years to come.

Top-ranked Alabama will host an unranked Texas A&M team that is riddled with storylines that include avenging a 2021 loss and an offseason feud featuring Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher.

The game, while originally thought to be a contest with College Football Playoff implications has turned into anything but. Though the Crimson Tide will have to play a strong four quarters to walk away with a win, the Aggies aren’t expected to put up much of a fight.

As the game gets closer, fans need to be on the lookout for some impact players from the opposing team.

Here are five members of the Texas A&M roster that Alabama fans must know before Week 6 kicks off.

Several key Alabama targets and commits set to be in town this weekend

Plenty of recruits from various recruiting classes expected to be in Tuscaloosa this weekend.

Many recruits have circled the Texas A&M game as the weekend that they and their family want to be in Tuscaloosa for visits. This will be the biggest recruiting weekend of the year for the Alabama coaching staff and rightfully so after last season’s disappointing loss to the Aggies.

Several of the commits that will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend are Justice Haynes, Richard Young, Miles McVay, Hunter Osborne, and Eli Holstein. Each of these recruits are currently committed to Alabama as a part of the 2023 recruiting class.

A pair of commits from the 2024 recruiting class are also expected to be in Tuscaloosa this weekend. Those two are Jaylen Mbakwe and Perry Thompson.

Along with all of these commitments, there is an abundance of recruiting targets that will be in Tuscaloosa as well. Roll Tide Wire will take a look at some of the prospects that will be in attendance for the Texas A&M game.

The latest injury report for Alabama Football heading into Week 6 matchup with Texas A&M.

Alabama was mostly healthy for the Week 5 matchup against Arkansas. Wide receiver JoJo Earle made his season debut. Although we haven’t seen either Tyler Harrell or Aaron Anderson in game action, both were suited up against Vanderbilt, but the two did not make the trip to Fayetteville this past weekend.

The Crimson Tide did suffer injuries on both sides of the ball. One of the most notable injuries occurred in the first half when junior quarterback Bryce Young suffered a shoulder injury. Several other defensive players sustained injuries during the game as well.
