ESPN College GameDay picks winner of Ohio State vs. Maryland

We know you have the Buckeyes winning, but do they? #GoBucks

Although [autotag]ESPN College GameDay[/autotag] is not in Columbus, Ohio for the [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] against [autotag]Maryland[/autotag] football contest, it’s still a big game.

The show’s broadcast team traveled to Dallas, Texas, to be on hand for the Red River Rivalry, as two undefeated teams, Oklahoma and Texas, face off in their final Big 12 version of the rivalry.

Analysts [autotag]Desmond Howard[/autotag], [autotag]Pat McAfee[/autotag], [autotag]Lee Corso[/autotag] and [autotag]Kirk Herbstreit[/autotag] were joined by guest picker Baker Mayfield, former Sooner and current Tampa Bay Buccaneer quarterback to make their picks for this week.

One for their games was of course the Buckeyes and Terrapins. Find out below who each of them picked to win the game today.

Steelers heavily favored by experts for SNF game against Seahawks

As you might expect, there’s not a lot of faith in Seattle out there.

The Seattle Seahawks are missing Russell Wilson and a couple of other key pieces heading into this weekend’s prime time game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. As you might expect, there’s not a lot of faith in Seattle out there. According to pickwatch, 84% of the experts are picking Pittsburgh this week.

If you’re looking for a silver lining, there’s not much to go on. One possibility is the fact that home field advantage doesn’t mean much in the NFL, anymore. Through 80 games so far this season road teams have actually won more often than home teams. They’re also 45-35 against the spread.

Winning on the road against the Steelers still sounds like a tall order for this team, which has a historically bad defense and a backup QB starting. Strangers things have happened, though. If Seattle can win the turnover battle it should at least give them a chance at an upset.

Most experts picking Bears over Panthers for Week 6 matchup

Here is a look at this week’s expert picks.

The Panthers are on the rise thanks to a three-game winning streak and are starting to get some respect from the oddsmakers in Vegas. They are favored to win this weekend’s game against the Bears by 2.5 points. However, the experts are still mostly picking against them.

Here is a look at this week’s expert picks.

ESPN: Bears

Seven out of ESPN’s 10 experts are picking Chicago this week.

CBS Sports: Bears

Will Brinson is picking the Bears in a close one, 17-16.

Sporting News: Bears

Bill Bender is also picking Chicago, 26-23.

MMQB: Split

The staff at MMQB is split, with three experts picking the Bears and three picking the Panthers.

Yahoo Sports: Panthers

Frank Schwab is picking Carolina this week.

USA Today: Panthers

The team at USA Today is mostly split but favors Carolina. Four out of seven experts are predicting a Panthers win.

We love a good contrarian pick here at Panthers Wire, so this is right up our alley. The Bears an impressive record at 4-1 coming into this week. However, Tampa is the only decent team they’ve beaten so far. We would be shocked if it’s a blowout given how tough Chicago’s defense is, but we’re expecting a fourth straight win. Panthers 23, Bears 20.
