The Texas Longhorns have added yet another significant piece to their already-elite recruiting class of 2023.

The Texas Longhorns have added yet another significant piece to their already-elite recruiting class of 2023.

This morning, Red Oak (Texas) four-star safety Warren Roberson announced that he’s flipped his commitment from TCU to Texas. He did it in dramatic fashion, surrounded by his teammates and friends.

Roberson (6-foot-0, 180 pounds) is ranked No. 22 at safety in his class and No. 47 overall in the state. He comes with ball skills and is a pick-six threat, but he’s much more than just a DB with sticky hands. He’s made an impact in all three phases over the last two years, totaling six interceptions, 1,020 receiving yards, 12 touchdown catches and 462 total return yards.

Texas ranks No. 3 in the 2023 cycle, led by the nation’s No. 1 overall recruit, quarterback Arch Manning and the top-ranked running back Cedric Baxter Jr.

Texas Football: 2023 National Signing Day preview

Texas looks to close out the 2023 class strong.

National Signing Day marks the official end of the 2023 recruiting cycle.

Robinson is a star football and baseball player considering Texas, Georgia, Alabama and USC. Georgia appears to be the favorite to land the uber-talented Arizona product.

Texas is working to flip Warren Roberson from TCU. The Longhorns are gaining momentum as Roberson took a visit to Texas this weekend. Many expert predictions were entered in favor of Texas following his trip to Austin.

Roberson would be the last piece of the puzzle in Texas’ No. 3 ranked class. 2023 marks the highest-rated class Texas has signed since the Mack Brown era back in 2010.

Roberson served as a do-it-all player at the high school ranks playing defensive back, wide receiver and kick returner. He projects to the defensive side of the ball at the college level.

Roberson is expected to make a visit to Texas this weekend. Steve Sarkisian and Texas staff are hoping to pull off another flip on the recruiting trail over the Big 12 rival.

Texas to host four-star TCU commit Warren Roberson this weekend

Texas is hoping for a flip of the TCU commit.

Texas is set to host 2023 four-star defensive back Warren Roberson for a visit this weekend, according to a report from Inside Texas.

The Longhorns currently hold the nation’s No. 3 ranked class for the class of 2023.
