The Broncos put a GoPro camera on wide receiver Courtland Sutton for his first day of practice in Orlando on Wednesday. The resulting footage can be seen in the above video, courtesy of the team’s official website.

In just his second season, Sutton became the fastest wide receiver in franchise history to reach the NFL’s all-star game. Sutton was initially voted a second alternate for the Pro Bowl and was added as an injury replacement for Texans star DeAndre Hopkins last week.

Sutton has been enjoying his time in Orlando and has been showing off some one-handed catches at practice.

Sutton and outside linebacker Von Miller are the only two active Broncos players at the Pro Bowl but they aren’t the only two Broncos in Orlando. Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis, who won back-to-back Super Bowls in Denver, will serve as one of the AFC’s team captains.

The 2020 Pro Bowl will be played in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 1:00 p.m. MT. The game will be simulcast on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, ABC and Disney XD. Tickets to the game start at $45 on Ticketmaster.

In 2014, when Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller was coming off a season cut short by injury and suspension, Denver signed future Pro Football Hall edge defender DeMarcus Ware. He might have been one of the most important teammates Miller ever had.

Ware took Miller under his wing and mentored him. They won Super Bowl 50 together in 2015 and now, four years after Ware’s retirement, Miller is following in his mentor’s footsteps by grooming the next generation of pass rushers.

Each offseason, Miller hosts a “Pass Rush Summit” for edge defenders (and even some offensive linemen) from across the NFL. Miller is also taking advantage of getting to mingle with young pass rushers at the Pro Bowl in Orlando.

Before practice Thursday, Miller coached up Jaguars rookie Josh Allen:

Miller also spent some time with Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt and Ravens edge defender Matthew Judon:

And, of course, Miller made time for fans at Thursday’s practice:

Miller said during an interview on “Pardon My Take” this week that he has had to apologize to players for going “too hard” in past Pro Bowls.

Von Miller, Courtland Sutton enjoy first day of Pro Bowl practice

Broncos linebacker Von Miller and receiver Courtland Sutton completed Day 1 of Pro Bowl practice Wednesday.

Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller and wide receiver Courtland Sutton checked in with fans through the team’s official Twitter page from Florida on Wednesday. Miller and Sutton are preparing to play in the 2020 Pro Bowl on Sunday.

Miller participated in the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown in 2018 and 2019 and he will do so again this year. The 2020 skills showdown will air on ESPN on Jan. 23. Two years ago, Miller took home co-MVP honors at the 2018 Pro Bowl after his strip-sack sealed a 24-23 win for the AFC.

This year marks Sutton’s first appearance in the All-Star Game. The second-year receiver is clearly having a good time.

Sutton showed off his impressive hands with a one-handed catch during Wednesday’s practice.

Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis will serve as one of the AFC’s team captains at the All-Star Game this year.

Peyton Manning stars in two new American Financing commercials

NFL legend Peyton Manning stars in two new American Financing commercials. Watch them here.

Peyton Manning’s back at it again, starring in new commercials.

The five-time NFL MVP has worked with Nationwide (chicken parm you taste so good!), Tide, Gatorade, DIRECTV, OtterBox and more companies since hanging up his cleats in 2016. The retired quarterback is making just as much from endorsements as he did during his final three years with the Broncos, according to estimates from Forbes.

Manning’s latest endorsement deal is with American Financing, a national mortgage banker. In his first ad with American Financing, Manning breaks down “game film” and critiques one of the employee’s handshake technique.

The second ad features Manning conversing with co-workers at one of the mortgage lender’s offices.

“I’m not here,” Manning says when told his “neighbor Mike” wants him to check on his cat again.

Manning, 43, played with the Broncos from 2012-2015, winning the AFC West four straight years. Denver reached the Super Bowl twice during the Manning era and the superstar QB retired after the Broncos defeated the Panthers 24-10 in Super Bowl 50.

Manning will be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021.

Watch Dalton Risner find out who his new offensive coordinator is

Broncos guard Dalton Risner found out from a reporter who his new offensive coordinator will be next season.

Before the Broncos officially hired offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur on Tuesday afternoon, KMGH-TV’s Troy Renck spoke with offensive lineman Dalton Risner about the team’s offensive coaching changes.

Risner didn’t even know Shurmur was going to be the new hire.

“Who?” Risner asked when Renck mentioned having a new offensive coordinator. “What? Wait, who’s Pat Shurmur? No way! I had no idea! Isn’t that crazy?” Risner said with a big smile.

Risner apparently isn’t very familiar with Shurmur but he had good things to say about Rich Sangarello, who was fired on Sunday.

“I’m just on Twitter yesterday and I see that my offensive coordinator was fired and I liked the guy,” Risner said. “So that was a huge bummer. You know, I loved Rich Scangarello and I thought he did a hell of a job and thought he did a lot of great things.

“You just told me who my new offensive coordinator was, I had no idea. I’m getting a quick taste of what it’s like to be in the big leagues.”

Risner was selected by Denver in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft. He started all 16 games last season and earned PFWA and PFF All-Rookie Team honors after allowing 2.5 sacks in his first year as a pro.

Watch: Steve Gleason gets standing ovation at Congressional Gold Medal ceremony

New Orleans Saints legend Steve Gleason received a Congressional Gold Medal for his advocacy of ALS research, as well as a standing ovation.

[jwplayer 1Oql16Iv-ThvAeFxT]

New Orleans Saints legend Steve Gleason made American history on Wednesday, being the first professional football player to receive the Congressional Gold Medal in recognition of his efforts in promoting awareness of ALS, a degenerative neural disease he’s fought since 2011.

Gleason, 42, earned his spot in Saints history with a game-changing blocked punt that was returned for a touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons, in the first game played inside the Superdome after Hurricane Katrina. His continued rise in prominence after publicly advocating for research into ALS and raising funds to help others afflicted with it has only grown with time.

Now, he’s in rare company as the recipient of this Congressional Gold Medal. He received it during a ceremony in Statuary Hall at Capitol Hill surrounded by friends, family, and supporters, including Saints quarterback Drew Brees and his son Baylen as well as NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Brees shared his remarks on the occasion following opening statements from Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Republican House leader Kevin McCarthy.

And when Gleason received his award, it was followed up by a standing ovation:

Now that’s special. Afterwards, Brees shared his own thoughts on the ceremony and his relationship with Gleason in a video posted from the official Saints Twitter account:

And here’s what the medal, designed custom for Gleason, looks like:

Watch: Rickie Fowler goes undercover as a caddie for unsuspecting golfers

Watch Rickie Fowler go undercover as a caddie for Farmers Insurance to surprise some unsuspecting golfers.

Imagine you’re preparing to tee off for a round of golf with your friends and all of a sudden, a bearded caddie who loves to stretch his hips, listen to the grass and test the wind by plucking a beard hair and throwing it in the air, asks if you need a loop.

Surely you say yes, right? Who wouldn’t want that guy on their bag?

Meet Richard Flower, a “veteran caddie and local legend.” But guess what? It’s not Richard Flower, but actually five-time PGA Tour winner Rickie Fowler.

The 31-year-old went undercover for Farmers Insurance and had some fun with some unsuspecting golfers.

“Going in, I hoped it would be authentic,” Fowler said of his undercover loop. “After looking at the footage I was happy with the finished product. It was fun to surprise people, make them laugh and bring a smile to their faces. It was especially cool when the beard and costume came off.”

In an interview with Farmers, Fowler talked about the player-caddie relationship:

“First and foremost, we are teammates. He does a huge amount of preparation before every tournament and gives me really accurate information. He charts every shot I hit. He records the club, the distance to the hole, how far it was actually hit and where it ended up. We communicate effectively to keep me calm and confident. I wouldn’t be as good without my caddie.”

Fowler made his 2020 debut with a T-5 finish at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and is in the field at this week’s American Express. He will also tee it up next week at the Farmers Insurance Open.

The Broncos brought in a defensive-minded head coach in Vic Fangio last year and his squad lived up to expectations. Denver ranked 12th in yards allowed per game (337.0) and 10th in points allowed per game (19.8).

“We had a bunch of guys that stepped up,” Broncos general manager John Elway said on Dec. 30. “Mike Purcell came in and was tremendous at nose guard. A.J. Johnson at linebacker came in. We’ve got to continue.

“We still have a young roster and the thing is these guys have to continue to focus on getting better. That’s how we get better as a team. Our young guys got to continue to get better. A lot of pleasant surprises, guys that came in and played well for us in tough situations.”

Fangio and Elway will have to make some important decisions this offseason with several key defenders scheduled to become free agents in March. Denver’s list of pending free agents includes cornerback Chris Harris, defensive ends Derek Wolfe and Shelby Harris, and safeties Justin Simmons and Will Parks. NFL free agency will begin March 18.

The Broncos’ media department published a video of the team’s top plays from the 2019 season this week. Though Denver missed the playoffs, the team still had some memorable moments last season.

The Broncos started the year poorly but ended on a strong note, winning four of their final five games.

“It feels [good] to finish the way that we finished,” Denver general manager John Elway said on Dec. 30. “I think with Vic [Fangio] and his staff and what they did — I’m excited about what he did. He had a tremendous year for us and battle through some tough times.

“We had a lot of things that didn’t go our way but battled through that. I think the most encouraging thing is you watch how this team played the whole year. They played hard the whole year. That number one is the most exciting thing.”

After ending last year on a strong note, the Broncos will look to build on their momentum and return to the playoffs in 2020.

WATCH: Highlights from Noah Fant’s rookie season with Broncos

Broncos rookie tight end Noah Fant had a big year in 2019. Here are his highlights.

[sendtonews_embed video_id=”ddeOY8XenR-698051-7498″]

Earlier this week, the Broncos’ media department rolled out video highlights from Drew Lock’s rookie season. Today we get a look at Noah Fant’s highlights from last season.

Fant (6-4, 249 pounds) was selected by Denver after the Broncos traded down in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft, landing the Iowa product with the 20th overall pick. Fant went on to lead all rookie tight ends in catches (40), receiving yards (562) and yards per catch (14.0) in 2019.

Fant is part of a young core of players that appear to have bright futures in Denver, joining quarterback Drew Lock, wide receiver Courtland Sutton, running back Phillip Lindsay and linebacker Bradley Chubb, among others.

“[Next season will be] a big opportunity for us because we are very young and we finally have some experience as well as a young team,” Lock said on Dec. 29. “There’s time for us to build and be something super special.”

Fant will be a key piece of the team’s quest to become something special.
