While the USMNT struggled in its only competitive match, Morocco hasn’t competed much better, failing to put away Ukraine.

Despite scoring 6 goals, 2 of those were from the penalty which isn’t likely to be repeated. It lost to Ukraine, throttled Iraq, and despite winning, had 7 fewer shots than Argentina. Morocco is a rightful favorite but isn’t that much better than the USMNT. This should be a competitive and tight match, giving value to the draw.

When with 11 players, the USMNT has a strong backline. It has held Bolivia scoreless with few real opportunities. Panama is a far more physical side than most and has lost 3 of 5 matches  leading up to the event. It lost 3-0 to Mexico to be knocked out of the Nations League at the semifinal stage on March 21. Behind Vini Jr., Brazil — No. 5 in the FIFA Men’s rankings — poses an even greater threat offensively for the U.S than No. 12 Colombia — the USMNT is 11th. Brazil has wins over 4th-ranked England and No. 14 Mexico this season and should be able to have its way with the USMNT.
