Previewing Saturday’s Colorado Buffaloes at USC Trojans sports betting odds and lines, with college basketball betting picks and tips.

The Colorado Buffaloes (16-5, 6-3 Pac-12) and USC Trojans (17-4, 7-2 Pac-12) square off at Galen Center at 10:30 p.m. ET Saturday. We analyze the Colorado-USC odds and betting lines, while providing college basketball betting tips and advice on this matchup.

Colorado at USC: Three things you need to know

1. USC picked up a win last time out, while Colorado is coming off a Thursday loss, putting the Buffaloes one game back of the Trojans for second place in the Pac-12.

2. Colorado owns a 9-4 straight up record in 13 meetings since moving to the Pac-12 conference before the 2011-12 season. The Buffaloes swept the season series last year, winning by four points in L.A. and by 11 at home.

3. The road team has connected in five of the past seven meetings in this series.

Prediction

USC 68, Colorado 63

Moneyline (ML)

USC (-115) is the play at home, but we can get even better value on the spread.

New to sports betting? A $10 bet on the Trojans to win outright returns a profit of $8.70.

Against the Spread (ATS)

USC (-1.5, +100) is playing much better than Colorado (+1.5, -121) at the moment, and the Trojans will be looking to avenge the season sweep from a year ago. The big man for USC, Onyeka Okongwu, is averaging 17.0 points per game, 9.1 rebounds and 3.2 blocked shots per game while leading the team with a 61.5 field-goal percentage, too. He’ll be the difference in this one.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 135.5 (-110) is worth a small-unit play, as that’s been the trend for both sides lately. The Under is 7-3 in USC’s past 10 overall, and 20-7 in its last 27 home games. The Under is also a perfect 6-0 in the Trojans’ past six games against winning teams. For Colorado, the Over is 8-3 in the past 11 games overall, but the Under is 5-0 in their past five games against teams with a winning overall mark. The Under is also a whopping 25-9 in the past 34 on the road for CU.

USC Trojans and Oregon Ducks college basketball odds, picks and best bets

Analyzing USC Trojans and Oregon Ducks sports betting odds and lines, with college basketball betting picks and tips.

The USC Trojans (15-3) visits Pac-12 rival Oregon Ducks (15-4) at the Matthew Knight Arena for a 11:00 p.m. ET tip off. We analyze the USC-Oregon odds and betting lines, with college basketball betting advice and tips around this matchup.

USC at Oregon: Three things you need to know

  1. USC tied Stanford atop the Pac-12 standings with a come-from-behind overtime upset over the Cardinals, 82-78, in their last game on Jan. 18.
  2. Despite Oregon’s impressive record, they allow slightly more points per game (68.8) than they score (68.5) in conference play.
  3. Both are playing at an elite level currently; the Trojans are 9-1 straight up and 7-3 against the spread in their last 10, while the Ducks are 8-2 outright but only 5-5 ATS.

USC at Oregon: Odds, betting lines and picks

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 4:00 p.m. ET.

Prediction

Ducks 66, Trojans 62

Moneyline (ML)

The Trojans can continue their recent success against Oregon but actually wagering on that outcome is a different story. Sure, USC has won four of the last five games against the Ducks, including a 66-49 victory last season, but Oregon has won eight of its last nine games against the Trojans in Eugene, Oregon. Since 2014, the Ducks have the best win/loss record (82-8) as home favorites against Pac-12 competition with a 15.5 average margin of victory. Also, USC has just a 4-18 record against ranked opponents from the Pac-12, with a -11.5 average margin of victory, since 2014.

PASS on the moneyline because of the Ducks’ poor line value and the unlikelihood of a Trojans upset.

Against the Spread (ATS)

Trends point to betting TROJANS +9.5 (-115). First, the Trojans are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. Second, USC are 4-1 ATS in away games against above .500 teams. Third, USC is 4-1 ATS in road games and 9-5 ATS in night games. Finally, look for the Trojans to utilize a huge mismatch between the front courts. USC has two double-digit scoring bigs in its front court — Onyeka Okongwu and Nick Rakocevic — against a Ducks front court that doesn’t feature a double-digit scorer, nor a player that gets more rebounds per game than either of the Trojans mentioned.

Over/Under (O/U)

Since we’re on the Trojans +9.5 and the Trojans have an Over/Under record of 6-12, let’s bet UNDER 139.5 (-104) because it correlates with our ATS handicap. It serves the Trojans well to play to their advantage, which is through their bigs, and slow the game down. Plus since 2014, Oregon has a 41-49 Over/Under record as a home favorite and a 45-66-1 Over/Under record in conference games.

Holiday Bowl: USC Trojans vs. Iowa Hawkeyes odds, picks and best bets

Previewing Friday’s Holiday Bowl betting odds between the USC Trojans and the Iowa Hawkeyes, with betting picks, tips and bets.

The USC Trojans (8-4) will battle the Iowa Hawkeyes (9-3) Friday at SDCCU Stadium in San Diego at 8 p.m. (on FS1). We analyze the USC-Iowa odds and betting lines, while providing college football betting tips and advice on this matchup.

USC vs. Iowa: Three things you need to know

1. USC finished the regular season fifth in the nation in passing yards at 335 yards per game.

2. USC has failed to cover in seven straight games against a Big Ten opponent.

3. The point total has gone UNDER in six of the last eight non-home games for USC.

USC vs. Iowa: Odds, betting lines and picks

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Monday at 3:40 p.m. ET.

Prediction

Iowa 30, USC 27

Moneyline (ML)

Iowa (-134) is a small moneyline favorite over USC (+110). But considering how low the spread is here, you are better off taking the Hawkeyes at -2.5 while getting better odds. With this in mind, AVOID a moneyline wager.

Against the Spread (ATS)

IOWA (-2.5, -110) is the play, being less than a field-goal favorite. While USC does have one of the better passing attacks in all of college football, Iowa’s veteran defense should have no problem slowing the Trojans down. The Hawkeyes have allowed the fifth-fewest points in the country and excel stopping the pass. Iowa is just a bad matchup for USC.

Over/Under (O/U)

The O/U is 51.5 (Over -115, Under -106) in part due to Iowa’s outstanding defense. However, that total seems slightly low despite the Under hitting in six of the last eight games involving the Hawkeyes. Look for this to be a fairly low-scoring game, but for the OVER 51.5 (-115) to hit late in the fourth quarter.

UCLA at USC Trojans odds, picks and best bets

Previewing Saturday’s UCLA Bruins at USC Trojans sports betting odds and lines, with college football picks, tips and best bets.

The UCLA Bruins (4-6) take on the USC Trojans (7-4) in a Pac-12 showdown Saturday of Week 13. Below, we analyze the UCLA-USC odds and betting lines, while providing college football betting tips and advice for this matchup.

UCLA vs. USC: Three things you need to know

1. UCLA has been awful on the road over the last few seasons, winning just three of its last 20 road contests.

2. USC has been a fantastic home team over the last few years, going 17-3 in its last 20 games at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

3. The Under has hit in 10 of the last 13 meetings between UCLA and USC.

UCLA vs. USC: Odds, betting lines and picks

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Friday at 3:00 p.m. ET.

Prediction

USC 35, UCLA 21

Moneyline (ML)

USC (-566) opens this game as a monster favorite over its cross-town rival of UCLA (+395). Given how well the Trojans have played at the Coliseum over the last few years, that’s not too surprising. Look for USC to win this Pac-12 matchup on Saturday afternoon.

New to sports betting? A $10 wager on USC returns a profit of $1.77.

Against the Spread (ATS)

USC (-13.5, -120) is a two-touchdown favorite over UCLA. The Bruins have one of the worst defenses in college football, allowing nearly 34 points per game. While USC’s offense is still a work in progress, look for the Trojans to have no problem putting up points and covering the spread.

Over/Under (O/U)

The total for this Pac-12 matchup is set at 65.5. While USC should have no problem scoring a ton of points in this contest, the Trojans would likely need to score in the 40s for the Over to hit. That seems somewhat unlikely given the youth on offense. Take the UNDER (-110) in this contest.
