Michigan State basketball: Tyson Walker earns All-District honors

Tyson Walker has earned some more accolades for his breakout season

On Tuesday, it was announced that Michigan State basketball guard Tyson Walker has been named to all-district teams by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

Walker was one of the 10 players named to the USBWA District 5 team, and was also a Second Team District 7 selection by the NABC.

Walker led the Spartans in scoring this season with 15.4 points per game.

MSU Basketball: Cassius Winston, Xavier Tillman named to USBWA All-District Team

Two Spartans have been named to the United States Basketball Writers Association District V All-District Team.

Each year, the United States Basketball Writers Association released its Men’s Basketball All-District Teams, which is voted on by its 900-plus national members. The voting and results are split into nine geographic regions, called ‘districts’. In Michigan State’s district, two Spartans were named to the All-District Team in Xavier Tillman and Cassius Winston.

MSU is in District V which includes every team in the states of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Dayton headlined the district with Obi Toppin winning Player of the Year and Anthony Grant winning Coach of the Year.
