This time last week, Texas was fresh off a Red River Shootout loss to Oklahoma and dropped out of the AP poll. Nothing changed on Sunday, as the Longhorns remain outside of the top 25 for the second consecutive week.
Only one Big 12 game took place on Saturday between Kansas and West Virginia. After getting off to an early 10-0 deficit, the Mountaineers rallied back by scoring 38 unanswered points. West Virginia is now 2-1 in conference play.
The biggest fall of the week was former Texas head coach Mack Brown and North Carolina. The Tar Heels had crept their way into the top five before traveling to Tallahassee to play Florida State. The Seminoles pulled off the upset, extending Brown’s record against them to 0-10.
