Rumors of new Seahawks uniforms floating on Twitter

Rumors of new Seahawks uniforms floating on Twitter

The 2023 season has marked the end of an era for the Seattle Seahawks. With the departure of head coach Pete Carroll, the Seahawks are entering into new territory. But a coaching change might not be the only thing on the horizon for Seattle.

Rumors are swirling online, stemming from a now-deleted Reddit post, about potential new uniforms. An alleged former paralegal from Nike went into full detail about what the new Seahawks uniforms could look like.

Again. I must stress: this is merely a rumor. There are no official confirmations of a uniform change. And quite frankly, I hope they stay exclusively rumors.

Ever since Seattle brought the throwbacks back for the 2023 season, fans have wanted them to become the main uniforms. It appears this style is a blend of both the modern and classic look.

Personally, I cannot stand this. The shade of blue is far too close to the steel blue look of the 2000’s. Not to mention there is hardly any differentiating between this and the actual throwbacks. For me, part of what makes the throwbacks so special is them getting used sparingly, for special high-profile games.

Also… I think the Nike uniforms they have now, and have been wearing since 2012, still looks great! The blend of navy and neon is perfect, and they have enough options to bring versatility to any combination they choose.

Rumors swirl about Broncos’ new uniforms

The Broncos are working on new uniforms and rumors are swirling about the details, including mountains being part of the design.

The Denver Broncos have given few details about their new uniform plans other than acknowledging that a new look is being worked on.

Two years ago, Broncos president Damani Leech said the club aims to balance its history of the uniform that won Super Bowls while also understanding that tastes and style evolve over time. That has led to speculation that Denver could put a modern spin on its current look.

The Broncos have already modified their Color Rush uniform to now include a new alternate white helmet, and the alternate look could get another refresh in 2024. Meanwhile, fans remain eager for information about the new primary uniform. Rumors have started.

Mario Vetanze, a certified posture exercise professional and massage therapist who lists Denver players among his clients, posted a thread on Twitter/X last month detailing some of the changes coming to the new uniforms. A few of those details:

This presumably means that the Broncos are not switching back to the old “D” logo permanently, but instead continuing to use it as an alternate.

More recently, someone who goes by “Brady2024” on Denver’s official forum platform teased additional details that should probably be taken with a grain of salt. Of note:

  • Switching to white helmets permanently
  • Keeping current logo with minor tweak
  • Three new tops and one throwback
  • Blue mountains on the sleeve
  • Subtle 5280 on side of pants

While the above info should be taken with a grain of salt, it’s perhaps notable that another Twitter/X page dedicated to NFL uniforms shared this concept design last week:

The mountains on the shoulders seem to be a running theme. A Reddit user who seemingly connected the dots from the above Twitter/forum posts shared this concept on Reddit as “almost dead on” for the new look:

Once again, all of this should be taken in with at least some skepticism. They are only rumors at this point.

Another mockup based on the above info:

For what it’s worth, KOA Radio’s Benjamin Allbright says the mockup design is not a look that has been discussed by the team:

We do know that new uniforms are on the way. We don’t know exactly what they look like, but the above concepts are worth discussing. We should find out more from the team in the coming months.

Saints announce uniform combo for Week 18 finale vs. Falcons

The Saints announced their uniform combo for Week 18’s regular season finale with the Falcons:

Here we go: the New Orleans Saints have revealed their Week 18 uniform combination, choosing to wear black jerseys and matching pants in their regular season finale with the Atlanta Falcons.

This specific all-black uniform combo has been worn in more games since 2006 than any other; the Saints have achieved a 53-37 record while wearing them, including the playoffs. But that’s a win percentage of just .589 which lags behind their record in some other kits.

If you’re curious (or just a little superstitious), here’s how that compares to the other uniforms used since 2006 (not including the controversial gold jerseys used in a loss back in 2003):

Saints announce uniform combo for Week 17 road game vs. Buccaneers

The Saints announced their uniform combo for Week 17’s road game against the Buccaneers: white jerseys and black pants

The New Orleans Saints announced their uniform combo for Week 17’s road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers: white jerseys and black pants. It’s been one of their most-common looks while being worn in 72 games since 2006. The Saints have achieved a 43-29 record while waring this uniform.

If you’re superstitious, here’s how that compares to the other kits used since 2006 (not including the controversial gold jerseys used in a loss back in 2003):

Broncos will wear alternate white helmet on Christmas Eve

The Broncos will wear their alternate “snow-capped” white helmet against the Patriots on Christmas Eve.

The weather forecast is calling for a white Christmas in Denver this year, and fittingly, the Broncos are breaking out their “snow-capped” alternate helmets for a festive Christmas Eve showdown with the Patriots in Week 16.

Denver will wear its orange Color Rush uniform and a white alternate helmet against New England on Sunday night. The game will mark the third time the Broncos have worn an alternate uniform in 2023.

Denver previously wore its new white helmet in Week 5 against the New York Jets, a 31-21 loss. The Broncos then wore an all-blue alternate uniform in Week 11 against the Minnesota Vikings in a 21-20 win.

Going up against the Patriots on Sunday, Denver will aim to improve to 2-1 wearing alternates this season.

Eventually, the Broncos will have new primary uniforms. Team president Damani Leech confirmed in July that Denver is working on a new uniform. Whether or not that new design arrives in time for the 2024 season remains to be seen. In the meantime, Broncos fans can enjoy the new alternate look.

LOOK: Wisconsin basketball releases this year’s ‘By The Players’ alternate uniforms

Wisconsin basketball released its annual ‘By The Players’ alternate uniforms earlier today.

The team will wear them for Thursday night’s contest at home against Arkansas State.

It is the fourth edition of the ‘By The Players’ uniforms, a tradition that started in 2020 with jerseys designed by Brad Davison, Aleem Ford, Micah Potter and D’Mitrik Trice.

The uniforms have already been at the center of some impressive history, including Chucky Hepburn’s Big Ten-winning buzzer-beater against top-ranked Purdue in 2022. Wisconsin will look to add to that tradition starting this week, and whatever other dates these uniforms are put into action:

Michigan football reveals uniform combo for Big Ten Championship game

Icy! #GoBlue

Ohio State had hoped to be playing in the Big Ten Championship game on Saturday, but due to Michigan football taking down the Buckeyes, 30-24, OSU players will be sitting at home and watching the Wolverines and Hawkeyes on TV. And thus wearing whatever they want to.

Last year, the maize and blue were the home team and wore all-blues. Two years ago, also playing against Iowa, Michigan wore white tops and blue pants. However, after wearing all-blues against Ohio State, the Wolverines are going for a change.

According to the official Michigan football X (formerly Twitter) account, the Wolverines will wear all-white on Saturday in Indianapolis, along with white accessories.

The all-whites are a decent contrast to Iowa’s home black and gold the Hawkeyes generally (and are likely to) wear.

The Big Ten Championship game will kick off at 8 p.m. EST from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. It will be nationally broadcast on Fox.

Saints announce uniform combo for Week 13 game vs. Lions

The  New Orleans Saints announced they will be wearing their black home jerseys and matching black pants for Week 13’s game with the Detroit Lions. It’s been their most-popular uniform combinations over the years, being worn in 89 games dating back to 2006. The Saints have a 52-37 record in this kit during that span. They’ll be hoping to add another win on Sunday in front of a home crowd that might need some convincing these Saints are worth rooting for.

Here’s how the Saints’ winning percentage in this combination stacks up to the other uniforms in their wardrobe, if you’re curious (not including the controversial gold jerseys used in a loss back in 2003):

Broncos to wear alternate blue uniform vs. Vikings on ‘Sunday Night Football’

The Broncos will wear blue jerseys and blue pants against the Vikings on Sunday. Do you like that look?

The Denver Broncos are breaking out an alternate uniform for their Sunday Night Football showdown with the Minnesota Vikings.

The Broncos will wear blue jerseys and blue pants against the Vikings in Week 11, the club confirmed Thursday. Denver previously wore an all-blue look in an 11-10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers on SNF in 2022.

This will mark the second time the Broncos have worn an alternate uniform this season. Earlier this year, Denver wore its all-orange Color Rush uniform featuring a new alternate white helmet in a 31-21 loss to the New York Jets.

After facing the Vikings on Sunday, the Broncos will break out an alternate uniform one more time this season when they host the New England Patriots on Dec. 24 in Week 16. Denver will wear its Color Rush uniform and white helmet in that Christmas Eve showdown against the Patriots in a game set to be nationally televised on NFL Network.

First things first, though, the Broncos will wear blue on Sunday.

Saints reveal uniform combo for Week 10 vs. Vikings

Biggest news of the day: the New Orleans Saints revealed their Week 10 uniform combo for Sunday’s game with the Minnesota Vikings

The New Orleans Saints announced the biggest news of the week on Friday: which uniforms they’ll be wearing for Sunday’s game with the Minnesota Vikings. The Saints will be pairing their white away jerseys with black pants in Week 10, which has been one of their winningest uniform combos since 2006 — they’ve gone 43-28 in games while wearing these kits.

Jokes aside, it’s a very common look for the Saints. They’ve used these uniforms in 71 of their last 300 games (including the playoffs), second only to the black-and-black combo worn in last week’s win over the Chicago Bears (and 89 games dating back to 2006).

Here’s how the Saints’ winning percentage in this combination stacks up to the other kits in their wardrobe, if you’re curious (not including the controversial gold jerseys used in a loss back in 2003):
