Watch: four-star UGA commit RB Daijun Edwards highlights

The Georgia Bulldogs received a commitment from 4-star running back Daijun Edwards earlier this week.

The Georgia Bulldogs received a commitment from 4-star running back Daijun Edwards to take them to the top-ranked recruiting class in the country. Edwards joins Kendall Milton, the nation’s No. 7 back in the 2020 class, as Georgia’s second running back commit for the class.

Does this mean UGA is out of the race for Zach Evans? It has been quite some time since Georgia took three running backs in a single recruiting class.

Edwards announced in a tweet on Thursday that he would be committing to the Bulldogs. He chose UGA over Florida State, Tennessee and others.

Let’s check out some of Edwards’ highlights. Edwards played against tough competition in the state of Georgia during his time at Colquitt County High School.

Edwards is a north and south runner, who does not waste much movement. He rarely attempts to reverse the field and hit a home run. He’s a polished receiver, who lacks breakaway speed.

Twitter reacts to Georgia football’s number one rated recruiting class

The Georgia Bulldogs football program has the top ranked recruiting class in the country thanks to the commitment of 2020 RB Daijun Edwards.

The Georgia Bulldogs have moved up to the top ranked recruiting class in the country. The Dawgs surpassed the Alabama Crimson Tide and Clemson Tigers yesterday with the signing of four-star running back Daijun Edwards.

Georgia has the top rated class in spite of only having twenty-two commitments, the fewest of any team in the top ten. That means there’s still room for UGA to grow and improve their talented class of 2020.

Who else will Kirby Smart add to the class before signing day? UGA fans and recruits are pumped up following the move into 2020’s top slot:

Georgia is “not done” yet either according to four-star offensive line signee Chad Lindberg:
