UFC 283: Lauren Murphy vs. Jessica Andrade odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 283 odds and lines between Lauren Murphy and Jessica Andrade, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a women’s flyweight bout on the main card, Lauren Murphy and Jessica Andrade meet Saturday at UFC 283 at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Let’s analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the UFC 283: Murphy vs. Andrade odds, and make our expert picks and predictions.

The early prelims can be viewed on ESPN+ beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET, with the prelims on ABC/ESPN/ESPN+ at 8 p.m., and the main card beginning on Pay-Per-View at 10 p.m.

Andrade takes the walk to the octagon on a 2-bout win streak since losing to Valentina Shevchenko in a title bout in April 2021. “Bate Estaca” posted a round 1 submission win over Amanda Lemos last time out, and she dropped Cynthia Calvillo in the 1st round via KO/TKO in UFC 266.

Each of Andrade’s past 4 fights have resulted in finishes, with 3 victories, including a pair of KO/TKO wins.

The 39-year-old Murphy, a.k.a. “Lucky,” posted a unanimous-decision win over Miesha Tate last time out in July. She is 6-1 across her last 7 fights, with 4 victories via decision. Her only loss was by KO/TKO against Shevchenko. She has gone Over 2.5 rounds in 12 of her 13 fights at the UFC level.

UFC 283: Murphy vs. Andrade picks and predictions

Records: Murphy (16-5-0) | Andrade (23-9-0)

Fight result (2-way line or moneyline)

Andrade (-525) will cost you over 5 times your potential return, and that’s way too expensive to play on the 2-way line. But there is very little chance of the upset here, as Murphy (+390) should knuckle under facing the quick finisher Andrade and a pro-Brazilian crowd.

PASS.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 2.5 ROUNDS (-125) is a decent play. Murphy is a veteran who will make Andrade work, but Andrade hasn’t gone past 3:19 of round 2 in six of her past 8 fights. To be safe you could play NO: WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE (-135) but the payout will be a bit lower.

UFC 283: Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Brandon Moreno odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 283 odds and lines between Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a flyweight championship bout on the main card, Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno meet Saturday at UFC 283 at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Let’s analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the UFC 283: Figueiredo vs. Moreno odds, and make our expert picks and predictions.

The early prelims can be viewed on ESPN+ beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET, with the prelims on ABC/ESPN/ESPN+ at 8 p.m., and the main card beginning on Pay-Per-View at 10 p.m.

Figueiredo looks to keep his strap in a 4th consecutive fight against Moreno. Figueiredo has a win, loss and draw against Moreno, so this fight will once and for all decide who the flyweight champ is in the UFC’s first title tetralogy.

The last fight between these fighters resulted in a unanimous decision at UFC 270 in January 2022 with Figueiredo coming out on top. Moreno submitted Figueiredo in the 3rd round at UFC 263 in their 2nd fight, and their 1st fight was a draw at UFC 256.

Figueiredo will look to get the fight to the mat, as he has 3 submission victories since October 2019, although his loss to Moreno also resulted in him getting choked out.

Moreno recently faced Kai Kara-France at UFC 277 in July to secure the interim flyweight strap. Moreno is 6-1-2 across the past 9 bouts, with 4 stoppages during the span.

UFC 283: Figueiredo vs. Moreno picks and predictions

Records: Figueiredo (21-2-1) | Moreno (20-6-2)

Fight result (2-way line or moneyline)

FIGUEIREDO (+110) is the lean in this 4th title fight between the 2 former champs.

Moreno has proven he can get it done a number of ways, posting a knockout against Kara-France last time out, while also submitting Figueiredo at UFC 263. Five of his past 8 fights have ended up going the distance.

However, Moreno (-130) will be fighting this one behind enemy lines, and the Brazilian fighter should feed off the energy of the pro-Figueiredo crowd to grab the edge and earn the win. It wouldn’t be surprising to see a distance fight here.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 4.5 ROUNDS (-145) is a solid play, as these fighters know each other like the back of their hands at this point. They’ve seen it all and done it all against each other. Look for this one to be decided by the judges.

As a result, play FIGUEIREDO BY POINTS (+275) for a chance to multiply your initial wager by more than 2 1/2.

UFC 283: Paul Craig vs. Johnny Walker odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 283 odds and lines between Paul Craig and Johnny Walker, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a light heavyweight bout on the main card, Paul Craig will face Johnny Walker Saturday at UFC 283 at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Let’s analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the UFC 283: Craig vs. Walker odds, and make our expert picks and predictions.

The early prelims begin at 5:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+, with the prelims set to begin at 8 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN and the main card starting at 10 p.m. ET on Pay-Per-View (PPV).

Craig, the UFC’s 9th-ranked light heavyweight, has won 4 of his last 5 fights, with 3 of those victories earning performance of the night honors. Craig’s last fight, however, was a unanimous decision loss to Volkan Oezdemir at UFC Fight Night 208 in July. All 16 of Craig’s career victories have been finishes — 13 by submission.

Walker, the UFC’s 12th-ranked light heavyweight, has lost 4 of his last 6 fights. His last bout was a first-round submission victory over Ion Cuțelaba at UFC 279 in September. The majority of Walker’s fights have been finishes as well — he holds 15 wins by knockout and 3 wins by submission.

UFC 283: Craig vs. Walker picks and predictions

Records: Paul Craig (16-5-1) | Johnny Walker (19-7)

Fight result (2-way line or moneyline)

Craig is more of a submission specialist while Walker has only been submitted once in his career. Walker has finished most of his fights by knockout while Craig hasn’t been knocked out since 2019.

This should be an entertaining fight that’ll likely be done in the first 2 rounds. Both Craig and Walker tend to bait their opponents into leaving themselves open so they can hit them with a quick finish. So it’ll be interesting to see which fighter ends up slipping. Walker seems more likely leave himself open, especially with Craig being the better ground fighter.

You can BET CRAIG +160, or if you’re really feeling a Craig victory you can CONSIDER CRAIG BY SUBMISSION (+275).

Over/Under (O/U)

Fourteen of Craig’s 22 fights and 19 of Walker’s 26 fights have ended in the 1st round. It’s pretty likely that this one will, too.

Include UNDER 1.5 ROUNDS (-200) in your parlay, or consider betting CRAIG IN ROUND 1 (+460).

UFC 283: Gilbert Burns vs. Neil Magny odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 283 odds and lines between Gilbert Burns and Neil Magny, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a welterweight bout on the main card, Gilbert Burns will face Neil Magny Saturday at UFC 283 at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Let’s analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the UFC 283: Burns vs. Magny odds, and make our expert picks and predictions.

The early prelims begin at 5:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+, with the prelims set to begin at 8 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN and the main card starting at 10 p.m. ET on Pay-Per-View (PPV).

Burns, the UFC’s 5th-ranked welterweight, has dropped 2 of his last 3 bouts but is 5-2 since returning to welterweight back in 2019. His last loss came against Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 273 in April 2022, losing by decision but earning fight of the night honors. Burns’ last victory was a decision over Stephen Thompson at UFC 264 in July 2021.

Magny, the UFC’s 12th-ranked welterweight, has won 3 of his last 4 fights. His last bout was just two months ago — a submission win over Daniel Rodriguez at UFC Fight Night 214 in November. His last loss was also by submission against Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC on ESPN 38 in June.

UFC 283: Burns vs. Magny odds

Provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 10:45 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Burns -475 (bet $475 to win $100) | Magny +360 (bet $100 to win $360)
  • Over/Under: 2.5 rounds (Over -101 | Under -135)
  • Will the fight go the distance? (Yes +105 | No -145)

UFC 283: Burns vs. Magny picks and predictions

Records: Gilbert Burns (20-5) | Neil Magny (27-9)

Fight result (2-way line or moneyline)

The line is a little strong in Burns’ favor considering his recent losses, but he still is a top-5 welterweight in the UFC. He’s the safest bet to win given his striking accuracy (48%) and incredible ground game. Magny could sneak a TKO, which makes his +360 odds an attractive bet, but it’s difficult to bet against Burns, who is more of a polished fighter.

The payout for Burns at -475 is too low for a straight bet, so the better play is BURNS BY SUBMISSION (+195). Eight of Burns’ 20 wins have been by submission while Magny was submitted in 5 of his 9 losses.

Over/Under (O/U)

I don’t expect this fight to go the distance — both fighters will be looking for a finish, especially Burns who is looking to get back into the title picture. Burns has 7 victories by finish in his UFC career, and 6 of those came in the first 2 rounds. Meanwhile, Magny has been finished in the first 2 rounds 5 times in his UFC career. Don’t expect this to go past the 2nd round.

LEAN UNDER 2.5 ROUNDS (-135).

UFC 283: Glover Teixeira vs. Jamahal Hill odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 283 odds and lines between Glover Teixeira vs. Jamahal Hill, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a light heavyweight championship bout in the main event, Glover Teixeira and Jamahal Hill meet Saturday at UFC 283 at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Let’s analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the UFC 283: Teixeira vs. Hill odds, and make our expert picks and predictions.

The early prelims can be viewed on ESPN+ beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET, with the prelims on ABC/ESPN/ESPN+ at 8 p.m. and the main card beginning on Pay-Per-View at 10 p.m.

Teixeira lost his belt against Jiri Prochazka last time out at UFC 275 in June. He was submitted in Round 5 and has ended up with 4 straight stoppages, winning 2 by submission and 1 by a KO/TKO.

The Brazilian has gone the distance just once in the past 7 fights — a split-decision win over Nikita Krylov in Sept. 2019.

Hill is on the rise rather quickly, picking up 3 consecutive KO/TKO wins. That includes a 4th-round win over Thiago Santos last time out in early August. Each of his past 5 fights has resulted in KO/TKO, with 4 victories during that span.

Hill has a 3-inch reach advantage and a 2-inch height advantage, and the southpaw holds a 6.46-to-3.80 significant strikes landed per minute advantage over the veteran. Teixeira will want to get the fight to the mat, where he is more potent, but Hill will want to keep the bout upright to use his tremendous punching power.

UFC 283: Teixeira vs. Hill odds

Provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 9:46 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Teixeira +120 (bet $100 to win $120) | Hill -140 (bet $140 to win $100)
  • Over/Under: 1.5 rounds (Over -130 | Under -105)

UFC 283: Teixeira vs. Hill picks and predictions

Records: Teixeira (33-8-0) | Hill (11-1-0)

Fight result (2-way line or moneyline)

HILL (-140), a.k.a. “Sweet Dreams”, looks rather youthful at just 31 years old. The southpaw will be looking to use his tremendous punching power to drop the former champ early.

Hill has KO/TKO wins over Thiago Santos, Johnny Walker and Jimmy Crute, but the 43-year-old Teixeira will be one of his biggest tests yet.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 1.5 ROUNDS (-130) is a good play, as the veteran Teixeira might not win this fight, but he isn’t going to get dropped early in the main event. He’ll be trying to slow Hill and mitigate his punching power by getting his fight to the canvas.

However, the result of the fight will be what everyone expects — HILL BY KO/TKO (-104) at near even money — and it won’t go much further than the middle of Round 2.
