UFC 283: Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Brandon Moreno odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 283 odds and lines between Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a flyweight championship bout on the main card, Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno meet Saturday at UFC 283 at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Let’s analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the UFC 283: Figueiredo vs. Moreno odds, and make our expert picks and predictions.

The early prelims can be viewed on ESPN+ beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET, with the prelims on ABC/ESPN/ESPN+ at 8 p.m., and the main card beginning on Pay-Per-View at 10 p.m.

Figueiredo looks to keep his strap in a 4th consecutive fight against Moreno. Figueiredo has a win, loss and draw against Moreno, so this fight will once and for all decide who the flyweight champ is in the UFC’s first title tetralogy.

The last fight between these fighters resulted in a unanimous decision at UFC 270 in January 2022 with Figueiredo coming out on top. Moreno submitted Figueiredo in the 3rd round at UFC 263 in their 2nd fight, and their 1st fight was a draw at UFC 256.

Figueiredo will look to get the fight to the mat, as he has 3 submission victories since October 2019, although his loss to Moreno also resulted in him getting choked out.

Moreno recently faced Kai Kara-France at UFC 277 in July to secure the interim flyweight strap. Moreno is 6-1-2 across the past 9 bouts, with 4 stoppages during the span.

UFC 283: Figueiredo vs. Moreno picks and predictions

Records: Figueiredo (21-2-1) | Moreno (20-6-2)

Fight result (2-way line or moneyline)

FIGUEIREDO (+110) is the lean in this 4th title fight between the 2 former champs.

Moreno has proven he can get it done a number of ways, posting a knockout against Kara-France last time out, while also submitting Figueiredo at UFC 263. Five of his past 8 fights have ended up going the distance.

However, Moreno (-130) will be fighting this one behind enemy lines, and the Brazilian fighter should feed off the energy of the pro-Figueiredo crowd to grab the edge and earn the win. It wouldn’t be surprising to see a distance fight here.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 4.5 ROUNDS (-145) is a solid play, as these fighters know each other like the back of their hands at this point. They’ve seen it all and done it all against each other. Look for this one to be decided by the judges.

As a result, play FIGUEIREDO BY POINTS (+275) for a chance to multiply your initial wager by more than 2 1/2.

UFC 270: Brandon Moreno vs. Deiveson Figueiredo odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s UFC 270 odds and lines between Brandon Moreno vs. Deiveson Figueiredo, with MMA picks, tips and predictions.

In a flyweight title fight on the main card, Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo meet Saturday at UFC 270 at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. Below, we analyze the UFC 270: Moreno vs. Figueiredo odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

The early prelims can be viewed on ESPN+ at 7 p.m. ET, the prelims can be viewed on ESPN/ESPN+ at 8 p.m. ET, with the main card starting at 10 p.m. ET on pay-per-view.

This will be Moreno-Figueiredo III. They fought to a majority draw at UFC 256 in December 2020, and Moreno submitted Figueiredo at UFC 263 in June 2021. That was the first submission loss of Figueiredo’s career.

Moreno has ended up going the distance in six of his past eight fights at the UFC level, but he has the submission win over Figueiredo last time out. He claimed a KO/TKO win over Brandon Royval at UFC 255, just over three weeks before his first fight with Figueiredo. So, Moreno can get his arm raised in a number of ways.

Figueiredo, a.k.a. “Deus da Guerra,” suffered just the second loss of his pro career in that submission loss to Moreno. Figueiredo’s only other loss was a unanimous-decision setback to Jussier Formiga back in March 2019.

When Figueiredo wins, he is usually doing work on the canvas, posting submission wins in three of his past six fights. That’s why it was surprising when Moreno turned the tables on him last time out.

UFC 270 Moreno vs. Figueiredo: Odds and lines

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 5:58 a.m. ET.

  • Fight result (2-way line): Moreno -180 (bet $180 to win $100) | Figueiredo +140 (bet $100 to win $140)
  • Will the fight go the distance? (Yes +115 | No -160)

UFC 270 Moreno vs. Figueiredo: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Moreno (19-5-2) | Figueiredo (20-2-1)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

FIGUEIREDO (+140) is going to win this one, and we might end up seeing a fourth installment of this rivalry as a result.

The 34-year-old flyweight might be a bit reluctant to get to the canvas after Moreno surprisingly submitted him last time out. However, the mat is where Figueiredo does his best work. He submitted Alex Perez and Joseph Benavidez in consecutive fights in 2020 for the belt. He also has a submission win over Tim Elliott.

Figueiredo’s specialty is the arm triangle or guillotine. I like him to get it done on the ground, perhaps setting up a fourth fight between these rivals down the road.

Over/Under (O/U)

FIGUEIREDO BY SUBMISSION (+900) is worth a roll of the dice. His specialty is getting it done on the canvas. You can multiply your initial wager times nine if he gets it done in the ground and pound.

Backing NO -160: FIGHT TO GO THE DISTANCE is also a worthwhile play, while also playing the challenger in round betting.

Take FIGUEIREDO IN ROUND 2 (+1400), FIGUEIREDO IN ROUND 3 (+2000) and FIGUEIREDO IN ROUND 4 (+2500) in a three-round block. If Figueiredo pulls off the upset inside the distance in Rounds 2-4, you will lose two of the bets, however, you’ll also be very, very far ahead.

UFC 263 Figueiredo vs. Moreno: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Figueiredo 20-1-1 | Moreno 18-5-2

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

It’s a rematch of a thrilling draw back at UFC 256 Dec. 12, 2020, at the UFC’s APEX Facility. It was a rare fight to go the distance for the champ Figueiredo (-200), who had four consecutive stoppages before that outing.

Figueiredo actually needed to go to the hospital after that fight due to severe bruising, and he didn’t speak publicly after the fight. Moreno will get another chance to become the first Mexican-born champ in UFC history. He might have done it the first time, but a low blow slowed him in the first fight.

MORENO (+165) is a good bet as a healthy underdog as he proved he can more than hang with Figueiredo, who retained his strap by a thread last time out.

Moreno is 4-0-2 across the past six bouts with two KO/TKO wins, two draws and two unanimous-decision victories.

Over/Under (O/U)

It will be hard for these two combatants to match the slugfest we saw the first time these two got together. But you can expect another brawl between the flyweights. They’re both tremendous in an upright fight, and they can handle themselves with aplomb on the mat, too.

I really like YES (+120): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? in this one. We won’t get a draw like last time, but these two fighters have a ton of heart and will take a considerable beating again in this rematch. In the end, Moreno will make history, and taking MORENO ON POINTS (+333) represents a good chance to triple up if get his arm raised.

OVER 4.5 ROUNDS (+105) is also a good play at near even-money if you don’t want to specify a winner and are not expecting a stoppage.
