Usman is 13-0 since making his UFC debut Dec. 19, 2015. That includes a championship bout March 2, 2019, against Tyron Woodley and four successful title defenses.

Usman picked up a second-round KO/TKO against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261 last time out April 24, and he has knockout wins in three of his last four outings. Prior to his last two KO/TKO wins, nine of his previous 11 fights had gone the distance.

Covington bounced back from a fifth-round KO/TKO loss to Usman Dec. 13, 2019, at UFC 245 with a KO/TKO victory over Tyron Woodley in September 2020. He is looking to get back on top of a division for the first time since June 9, 2018, when he topped Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC 225. While he has two finishes in his last two fights, he went the distance in his five prior bouts.

UFC 268 Usman vs. Covington: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Usman (19-1-0) | Covington (16-2-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Usman (-300) should be able to push past Covington for the second consecutive time, but you can’t wager three times your potential return. Instead, get more specific.

USMAN BY TKO/KO (+122) is a much better value at plus money. He has won three of his last four fights via KO/TKO, including his first meeting with Covington in 2019.

Over/Under (O/U)

NO (-145): FIGHT TO GO THE DISTANCE is the way to go since I believe Usman gets the finish. UNDER 3.5 ROUNDS (+115) is also worth a plus. Yes, he had to go into the fifth round to drop Covington last time, but each of his last two KO/TKO wins finished in the first half of the fight. He hasn’t been going deep into fights recently, and this one will be no different.

Namajunas reclaimed her championship strap April 24 in the most recent meeting between these two fighters at UFC 261. Namajunas picked up the KO/TKO victory in just 78 seconds. With a split-decision victory July 11, 2020, over Jessica Andrade at UFC 251 the win over Zhang marked her second straight win.

Zhang opened her UFC career with five consecutive victories, and she picked up a championship belt Aug. 31, 2019, with a KO/TKO win in just 42 seconds over Jessica Andrade. She followed that up with an emotional split-decision win over Joanna Jedrzejczyk in March 2020. She will be looking for redemption after not lasting long in the process of losing her belt to Namajunas.

UFC 268 Namajunas vs. Weili: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

NAMAJUNAS (-102) is a good bet as a slight underdog in this fight. She has a two-inch reach advantage and will be looking to get the fight to the canvas as quickly as possible.

Namajunas holds a 1.89-to-1.24 takedown advantage, with a 53.33-to-23.81 lead in takedown accuracy percentage. In addition, she has a 0.83 submission average compared to just 0.49 for Zhang.

I think Namajunas will use her reach advantage to knock out Zhang for the second consecutive fight. As such, NAMAJUNAS BY TKO/KO (+330) is a tremendous value play for a chance to more than triple up.

Over/Under (O/U)

NO (-116): FIGHT TO GO THE DISTANCE is the play since I expect a stoppage by Namajunas. Playing UNDER 4.5 ROUNDS (-127) is also worth a look if you want a little bit of wiggle room.

The veteran Edgar has been spinning his wheels of late, going 1-3 across his last four bouts, starting with a unanimous-decision loss in a title bout July 27, 2019, against Max Holloway at UFC 240. His most recent fight was a 28-second KO/TKO loss Feb. 6 against Cory Sandhagen. Three of Edgar’s last five fights have gone the distance.

Vera has alternated wins and losses across his past five fights, last winning via unanimous decision last time out June 19 against Davey Grant. Three of his past four fights have gone the distance, and four of his last five have ended up going to at least the third round.

Vera, a.k.a “Chito”, heads into this one looking for a win in consecutive fights for the first time since rattling off five straight wins from Aug. 4, 2018 – Oct. 12, 2019.

I like VERA (-160) to win straight up on the 2-way line, and I think this one also needs the help of the judges. You can also play VERA ON POINTS (+180) in the Method of Victory section for good value.

Over/Under (O/U)

YES (-160): FIGHT TO GO THE DISTANCE is not terribly out of line, and a good play since I believe Vera wins this one on points. It’s a better value than taking Over 2.5 Rounds (-200), which will cost you two times your initial return and there is just no value there.

Burgos heads into this one looking to snap a two-bout losing skid. He was knocked out in the third round at UFC 262 May 15 last time out against Edson Barboza and lost via unanimous-decision against Josh Emmett June 20, 2020.

Two of the last three fights for Burgos have finished inside the distance, including a third-round KO/TKO Nov. 2, 2019, over Makwan Amirkhani for his most recent victory.

Quarantillo dropped Gabriel Benitez last time out July 17, improving to 4-1 since arriving at the UFC level. Three of his five fights with the company have ended via stoppage, with two KO/TKO wins and a submission victory.

Burgos (-205) is a good bet to snap his two-bout losing skid, but the price is a little high for a guy who hasn’t won in over two calendar years.

This is a good matchup for him, however, especially since he holds a 5.5-inch reach advantage. Look for BURGOS BY TKO/KO (+250) in the Method of Victory section for a much better value.

Over/Under (O/U)

Playing NO (+105): FIGHT TO GO THE DISTANCE is a good bet, as I think Burgos is going to be able to drop Quarantillo before the judges need to get involved. In addition, UNDER 2.5 ROUNDS (+105) also represents good value at plus money.

Gaethje was choked out last time out on Fight Island by Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 254, losing his title belt in the process. He had risen to the top of the division with an upset win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 249 in May 2020.

Gaethje doesn’t waste a lot of effort, win or lose. He has 11 KO/TKO and one submission across his last 12 professional bouts. All seven of his fights since arriving at the UFC level have resulted in stoppages.

Chandler was on the fast track to a title, but he was dropped in the second round via KO/TKO by Charles Oliveira May 15 at UFC 262. He is 1-1 since joining the UFC from Bellator with a first-round KO/TKO over Dan Hooker in his debut Jan. 23.

UFC 268 Gaethje vs. Chandler: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Gaethje (22-3-0) | Chandler (22-6-0)

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

Gaethje (-220) will cost you over two times your potential return, which is just a little too expensive. He is hoping to get another shot at a title by topping Chandler.

Instead of taking him just to win on the 2-way line, get more specific. Play GAETHJE BY TKO/KO (-110) for a much better value. Six of his seven fights at the UFC have ended via TKO/KO, with four victories by way of knockout across his last five outings.

Over/Under (O/U)

Gaethje just doesn’t go the distance, but playing No (-290): Fight to go the distance is just too expensive with little value.

Instead, look to OVER 1.5 ROUNDS (-127). This fight isn’t going to need the judges involvement, but Chandler will push Gaethje and make him work for this win. Chandler won’t knuckle under to the pressure early.
