Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder odds, picks and prediction: WBC heavyweight championship

Breaking down Saturday’s Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder WBC heavyweight championship fight, with boxing odds, picks and predictions.

In a 12-round WBC heavyweight championship bout, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder meet in the third fight of a trilogy Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nev. The main card begins at 9 p.m. ET, with the main event expected to take place at approximately 11 p.m. ET. Below, we break down the Fury vs. Wilder odds and lines, with boxing picks and predictions.

Fury enters with plenty of confidence against Wilder, a fighter he obviously knows well. The duo fought to a draw back on Dec. 1, 2018, a fight some saw Fury not quite at 100 percent health. Many also said he won that fight, too.

The much-anticipated rematch occurred Feb. 22, 2020 in Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, and Wilder picked up the TKO win in the seventh round.

Leading up to this fight, Wilder claims Fury cheated in the second installment of this trilogy. He predicted a knockout of Fury, which was met by laughs and taunts. Pull up a seat and enjoy this one. After Oleksandr Usyk dropped Anthony Joshua last week, this fight is likely to determine an opponent for Usyk in a fight which would unify the division.

Fury (-340) is a heavy favorite with an implied win probability of 77.27%. A $100 bet on the favorite would return a profit of just $29.41 with a victory as a chalk wager.

Fury vs. Wilder predictions and picks

While it was called a draw, FURY (-340) won the first fight, and he dominated the second. There is no reason to believe he won’t pound Wilder (+260) in this third installment.

While we get a lot of bluster from Wilder, it might be due to fear. Fury is the only fighter to ever knock him out, and when things don’t go his way, he tends to make a lot of excuses or accusations. The accusation of Fury cheating in the second fight is silly and not a good strategy. He gives Fury even more fuel to the fire, not that it is needed.

While you shouldn’t really risk nearly three-and-a-half times your potential return on the 2-way line, especially on a regular basis, a Fury win is a near certainty.

Fury vs. Wilder best bet

The second fight ended in the seventh round, and I think Fury drops Wilder again, not leaving it in the hands of the judges to foul up the decision.

These two have 19 rounds in the ring together, so they know each other well. I think this one goes OVER 7.5 ROUNDS (-127), with Fury scoring a late-round TKO/KO victory.
