Angry Steelers fans think team was cheated vs Patriots on this call

Steelers fans think they were cheated out of this call against the Patriots.

Pittsburgh Steelers fans are still furious over the false start penalty called against long snapper Christian Kuntz late in the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s game against the New England Patriots.

The call came on a 4th-and-2 situation when the Steelers were attempting to punt the ball away. When watching the video, it looks like Patriots linebacker Jahlani Tavai jumped offsides early, but the call ended up going the other way on the field.

It was a big break for a Patriots team that had multiple mistakes on special teams throughout the night. This one, however, would have given the Steelers offense a new set of downs and another chance to put points on the board.

There’s no love lost between the Patriots and Steelers. So it didn’t come as any surprise to see Steelers fans taking to social media to call out the officiating in the loss.

We’ve compiled some of the best reactions to the controversial call on here.

Twitter reacts to Payton Thorne’s commitment to Auburn

Auburn Twitter is excited about the new addition to the QB room.

Auburn fans have patiently awaited the news for months regarding the addition of a quarterback from the transfer portal.

On Friday, they got their wish as former Michigan State quarterback [autotag]Payton Thorne[/autotag] announced that he would be furthering his collegiate career at Auburn, where he will compete with [autotag]Robby Ashford[/autotag] and [autotag]Holden Geriner[/autotag] for the starting quarterback job in 2023.

Head coach [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] welcomed several options for visits between the winter and spring windows of the portal but mentioned that he was being selective when it came to finding the right fit.

“Truthfully, I haven’t seen one yet that’s just, ‘Bam, that’s the no-brainer, and he’s ahead of the ones we have,’” Freeze said during a recent speaking engagement. “Every time a quarterback goes in the portal, (I say) ‘There he is! There he is!’ Then I watch the film, and I’m like, ‘No, that’s really not the one I’m looking for.’”

That all changed last weekend when Nebraska QB [autotag]Casey Thompson[/autotag] entered the transfer portal and paid a visit. However, the smoke concerning Thorne began to grow before he ultimately committed to the Tigers.

Following Thorne’s commitment, several Auburn fans took to Twitter to share their excitement for the newest member of the 2023 roster. Even Ohio State, Michigan, and Michigan State fans chimed in as well.

Here are the best social media reactions to Thorne’s commitment to Auburn.

Twitter reacts to the Jaguars selecting Tank Bigsby

“With a name like Tank Bigsby, he has to be good.”

Day two of the NFL draft ended on a high note as running back [autotag]Tank Bigsby[/autotag] was selected with the 88th overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The consensus surrounding the pick is that Bigsby will pair well with Travis Etienne in the Jaguars’ backfield. The scouting department at Bleacher Report says that Bigsby will bring his aggressive running style to the Jaguars’ offense.

Bigsby lives up to the “Tank” nickname. At a hair under 6’0″ and 210 pounds, he is a violent downhill runner when he wants to be. He has a thick frame, especially in his lower body, and absorbs contact well. When paired with his aggressive rushing style, ample acceleration and good balance, Bigsby is tough to bring down once he gets a head of steam.

Fans from both Auburn and Jacksonville seem to be excited for the next chapter of Bigsby’s career, as they shared their thoughts on Twitter following the announcement.

Here’s a look at how analysts and fans reacted to the news of Tank Bigsby being selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 88th overall pick of the 2023 NFL draft.
