Trevor Bayne to drive the No. 25 truck for Rackley W.A.R. at Homestead

Rackley W.A.R. announced on Tuesday afternoon that Trevor Bayne will drive the No. 25 truck in the Truck Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

[autotag]Rackley W.A.R.[/autotag] announced on Tuesday afternoon that [autotag]Trevor Bayne[/autotag] will drive the No. 25 truck in the NASCAR Truck Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend. Bayne has only made eight starts in the Truck Series over the course of his career, all of which came during the 2020 NASCAR season with Niece Motorsports.

The 32-year-old driver has a best finish of second place at Talladega Superspeedway and two top-10 finishes overall. Bayne has recently competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Joe Gibbs Racing and has run well in his starts before circumstances that affected his finishing position.

Overall, this is a great move for Bayne and Rackley W.A.R. as the driver looks to make a full-time return to NASCAR. Meanwhile, the organization fills on the two remaining Truck Series races in 2023 after parting ways with Matt DiBenedetto. Bayne will look to have a decent run in the No. 25 truck at Homestead this weekend as he returns to the Truck Series.

Jake Garcia not returning to McAnally-Hilgemann Racing in 2024

Jake Garcia announced on Monday afternoon that he will not return to the No. 35 truck for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing in 2024.

[autotag]Jake Garcia[/autotag] announced on Monday afternoon that he will not return to the No. 35 truck for [autotag]McAnally-Hilgemann Racing[/autotag] during the 2024 NASCAR season. Garcia is currently in his rookie season in the NASCAR Truck Series and has run well with two top-5 finishes, eight top-10 finishes, and a 14.6 average finishing position.

The driver of the No. 35 truck stated he was pursuing a new opportunity and would share the news in the near future. Garcia would have been teammates with Christian Eckes and Daniel Dye, who will join McAnally-Hilgemann Racing in the No. 43 truck next year. Now, he will likely be in another good ride in 2024.

Garcia would make sense for several race teams, including Spire Motorsports, who purchased Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Truck Series. Another team, such as Kaulig Racing, could make sense if he decided to make the move to the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Either way, Garcia will likely have a good seat for the 2024 season and it’ll be interesting to see where he ends up.

TRICON Garage announced on Monday morning that [autotag]Corey Heim[/autotag] will return to the No. 11 truck for the 2024 NASCAR season. Heim is currently in his first full-time season with TRICON Garage and has three victories, including one at Bristol Motor Speedway that has locked him into the Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway.

The driver of the No. 11 truck has shown exceptional speed on a weekly basis and has definitely earned another year with TRICON Garage. There were questions over whether Heim could be a fit for Joe Gibbs Racing’s program in the NASCAR Xfinity Series but any starts would have to be part-time due to this news.

There are two races remaining in the 2023 Truck Series season and Heim only has to worry about the race at Phoenix. The TRICON Garage driver could end up being a champion in a few weeks and the announcement of his future will allow him to focus on the task at hand. For now, Heim will look to claim his fourth win of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend.

Frankie Muniz linked to major NASCAR team for 2024 season

Frankie Muniz, Malcolm from Malcolm in the Middle, has been linked to a major NASCAR team for the 2024 season.

[autotag]Frankie Muniz[/autotag] just completed his first full-time season in the ARCA Menards Series with Rette Jones Racing and it went fairly well. Muniz had one top-5 finish and 11 top-10 finishes while placing fourth in the point standings. However, the former Malcolm in the Middle star is looking to move up the ranks of NASCAR with at least one major team being linked to him.

According to Fronstretch’s Mark Kristl, Muniz has been linked to ThorSport Racing in the NASCAR Truck Series as he could run a part-time schedule in the No. 13 truck following Hailie Deegan’s departure to AM Racing. ThorSport Racing is one of the powerhouse organizations in the Truck Series and he would really benefit from receiving top equipment in the top-3 levels of the sport.

Muniz has also been linked to RSS Racing for the entire 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, according to Fronstretch. The 37-year-old driver could run full-time in the Xfinity Series while competing part-time in the Truck Series for Ford Performance. Overall, these would be very major developments for Muniz as he looks to accelerate his stock car racing career.

Matt Mills joins Niece Motorsports in NASCAR Truck Series for 2024 season

Niece Motorsports announced on Thursday morning that Matt Mills will drive the No. 42 truck on a full-time basis starting in 2024.

The news of Carson Hocevar joining Spire Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series created an opening in one of the best trucks in the NASCAR Truck Series. Hocevar will leave the No. 42 truck for Niece Motorsports vacant after the 2023 season as the team chases a Truck Series title. However, a replacement has already been announced by the organization.

[autotag]Niece Motorsports[/autotag] announced on Thursday morning that [autotag]Matt Mills[/autotag] will drive the No. 42 truck on a full-time basis in the Truck Series starting in 2024. Mills has never been full-time in the Truck Series but ran well in his select starts with Kyle Busch Motorsports. Most notably, the 26-year-old driver finished in fifth place at Richmond Raceway.

Mills also drove full-time for B.J. McLeod Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in previous years but this will certainly be his best opportunity yet. The No. 42 truck has proven to be one of the best in the field and could bring Mills to new levels on the race track. Overall, this is a solid move for both sides as Niece Motorsports will get a look at Mills as a driver.

NASCAR Truck Series to see major driver movement for 2024 season

The NASCAR Truck Series is set to undergo a major driver movement as silly season starts to ramp up for the 2024 season.

The NASCAR Truck Series has already seen a tremendous amount of movement and the drivers haven’t really switched teams yet. As of now, GMS Racing will cease operations while Spire Motorsports buys Kyle Busch Motorsports. Also, Zane Smith will move to Trackhouse Racing while Hailie Deegan recently signed a deal to be in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Needless to say, there have been plenty of drivers and organizations going out the door and not too many walking in overall. This sets up for what is going to be another wild silly season since multiple competitors are out of rides and have uncertain futures. A few of those drivers are Grant Enfinger, Rajah Caruth, and Chase Purdy.

Plus, there will likely be more openings as Carson Hocever has been linked to a promotion while the possibility of other young drivers moving up can’t be ruled out. Overall, the landscape of the Truck Series is undergoing a major overhaul. That doesn’t even include Matt DiBenedetto, who made the playoffs and will not finish the season with Rackley W.A.R.

As many as eight playoff drivers, excluding Ben Rhodes and Matt Crafton, could be in a different series or ride during the 2024 season. That alone is enough mayhem to cover silly season, even if all eight drivers won’t be making such as move. While NASCAR enters the second half of the playoffs, it is important to not forget about the chaotic driver movement ahead.

Daniel Dye to join McAnally-Hilgemann Racing for 2024 NASCAR season

McAnally-Hilgemann Racing announced on Wednesday afternoon that Daniel Dye will join the organization on a full-time basis starting in 2024.

[autotag]McAnally-Hilgemann Racing[/autotag] teased an announcement was coming early on Wednesday and it lived up to the hype. The organization announced that [autotag]Daniel Dye[/autotag] will drive the No. 43 truck on a full-time basis starting in 2024 at Daytona International Speedway. Dye, 19, will join the team after GMS Racing announced it would cease operations at the end of the year.

The 19-year-old driver missed the 2023 playoffs and has yet to record a top-10 finish this year. Dye’s best finish was 11th place at World Wide Technlogy Raceway during the summer months. He hopes to have a breakout season with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing as the organization has improved its performance compared to last season with Christian Eckes and Jake Garcia.

Dye will bring the No. 43 from GMS Racing to McAnally-Hilgemann Racing as it has been his number since competing in the ARCA Menards Series. Now, only two GMS Racing drivers, Grant Enfinger and Rajah Caruth, in the Truck Series need a ride before the 2024 NASCAR season Daytona.

Kyle Busch Motorsports announces sale to Spire Motorsports in 2024

Kyle Busch Motorsports announced on Wednesday that it has sold its operations to Spire Motorsports for the 2024 season and beyond.

Kyle Busch made an announcement on Wednesday afternoon that has shaken the NASCAR world to its core. Busch revealed that he has sold [autotag]Kyle Busch Motorsports[/autotag] and Rowdy Manufacturing to [autotag]Spire Motorsports[/autotag] in a massive transaction. This means the organization will no longer exist once the NASCAR Truck Series goes to Daytona International Speedway in 2024.

Spire Motorsports also bought a third charter from Live Fast Motorsports earlier in the month so this represents its second major investment as they gear up for the 2024 season. As for Kyle Busch Motorsports, this will mark the end of an incredible journey as they leave the sport. The team isn’t the only one leaving after GMS Racing announced it would cease operations as well.

The Truck Series will not look the same without GMS Racing and Kyle Busch Motorsports but times are changing. There are only three races left during the 2023 season so it represents three opportunities to go out with a victory before their tenures are over.
