Super Bowl LVIII hero Mecole Hardman appears as answer on “Jeopardy”

Super Bowl LVIII hero Mecole Hardman appeared as an answer on a recent episode of “Jeopardy”

Even in the offseason, the Kansas City Chiefs can’t escape the national spotlight.

This week, Super Bowl LVIII hero Mecole Hardman made a television appearance in his most unconventional manner yet: As an answer on the popular game show Jeopardy.

Check out the interesting question that had Hardman as the answer, and see if you would have guessed it correctly:

While this was hardly Hardman’s biggest break of 2024, it was interesting to see the former Chief featured on a game show that isn’t known for throwing the names of NFL players around often.

Unfortunately, it didn’t seem like the contestants watched Kansas City’s resounding victory over the San Francisco 49ers in February, as the only guess was incorrect.

Hardman might not be a household name among the Jeopardy-watchers of the world, but his inclusion in this broadcast is sure to have those with eidetic memories on the lookout for more Chiefs references in the future.

Swipeball, the latest basketball trivia game, is here and so much fun

If you know a lot about the modern NBA, this is a lot of fun.

Remember when Worlde took over pop culture for a bit and sports fans responded by creating alternative versions?

We had Poeltl for the NBA (and Gordle for the NHL, Weddle for the NFL and WARdle for the MLB) and it was an addicting time for trivia enthusiasts who follow sports.

Another option hoops fans can try if they want to get back into playing some basketball trivia is called Swipeball, from the creators of Dribble. We’ve tried it out for ourselves and it is fairly addicting.

Swipeball gives users a prompt (e.g. “averaging 8+ assists per game this season”) and a series of 20 players. Almost like on a dating app, you swipe right if you think the player on the screen fits that description (based on their performance this season) and swipe left if you do not.

On his YouTube channel, content creator Kenny Beecham shared a video of himself playing Swipeball. He also offered an insightful explanation to help understand how it all works.

You can play Swipeball through your phone on the Dribble Game mobile application.

Super Bowl points scored by each college all time

Congrats to Alabama and Missouri who after SB 57, have finally scored on Super Bowl Sunday!

Over the Super Bowl’s first 56 editions there have been a total of 2,593 points scored.

Some of those points were scored by superstars; some were scored by incredibly unlikely heroes.

For every Tom Brady or Emmitt Smith there seems to be a Max McGee or Dwight Smith who had a huge moment or score to redirect the final outcome of a Super Bowl.

Have you ever wondered where all the Super Bowl heroes played their college football?

Super Bowl LVII had two new college programs finally get on the scoreboard. Jalen Hurts scoring three touchdowns and a two-point conversion were the first 20 points ever scored in Super Bowl play by a former Alabama player. The same goes for Missouri, which finally got on the Super Bowl scoreboard after Nick Bolton’s touchdown.

Two players also officially scored in the big game but didn’t play college ball.

So where did they all go?

Remember, touchdown passes don’t count in the record books as a touchdown scored for a quarterback – please don’t kill the messenger!
