Unfortunate news to post on the wire this evening as former Alabama linebacker Trey DePriest has been arrested in Ohio by U.S. Marshals.
DePriest was wanted for armed robbery, assault, and felonious assault in a case that stemmed out of Detroit, according to online court records. The charges were originally filed against DePriest on Nov. 11.
DePriest was a highly coveted prospect from Springfield, OH, and came to Tuscaloosa as a part of the 2011 signing class. After going undrafted, DePriest would be picked up briefly by the Baltimore Ravens before ultimately being cut.
The Springfield High School graduate was an All-American high school prospect in the fall of 2010, when he signed with the Alabama Crimson Tide for his collegiate career. https://t.co/3vqsidOx0e
