Stefon Diggs distanced himself from his brother’s harsh criticism of Josh Allen and the Bills

Stefon Diggs is tired of people assuming they know how he feels about the Bills.

The Buffalo Bills have been embroiled in a firestorm all week.

After an epic Monday night collapse to the Denver Broncos, head coach Sean McDermott scapegoated fired former offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey. (Note: McDermott still doesn’t seem to really have concrete solutions for a team now teetering on the playoff edge.) The defeat also led to Stefon Diggs’ brother — Trevon Diggs, a Pro Bowl-caliber cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys — taking Josh Allen and co. to task for what he thinks is wasting his sibling’s superstar talents.

On Thursday, during a Bills press conference, Stefon addressed his brother’s harsh critique of Allen and Buffalo as its season starts spiraling down the drain. While Stefon seemed appreciative of Trevon having his back, he couldn’t have been more clear on his stance — everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but that doesn’t mean he agrees.

None of this kind of unfortunate drama appears to be new for Stefon. He clarified that he has never actually said anything publicly about personal dissatisfaction with the Bills. (Fact check: true.) He described comments like his brother’s and any people trying to create drama in Buffalo as putting words in his mouth.

Obviously, this is not something he appreciates:

The Bills have a lot of issues. They’re 5-5 and sitting outside the AFC postseason field in a year they were supposed to contend for the franchise’s first-ever Super Bowl championship. At the very least, it appears that leaders and faces of the team like Stefon aren’t reaping and sowing more discord behind the scenes.

To say otherwise would probably be an irresponsible assumption.

‘This ain’t it lil bro’: Twitter reacts to Trevon Diggs’ swipes at Bills QB Josh Allen

Dallas Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs took to Twitter to back up his brother, Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs. Fans had mixed reactions to No. 7’s takes:

What’s worse than a Buffalo Bills prime time loss? Josh Allen playing pedestrian in said loss, which is reality for all Bills Mafia following their 24-22 thanks to the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.

What’s worse than Josh Allen stinking it up in a second straight prime time loss? Having to hear your receiver’s little brother opine on social media.

Such was the case Tuesday morning as Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, the little brother of Bills receiver Stefon Diggs, continued his polemic on Twitter from Monday night.

Given Twitter is a public platform, everyone was in Diggs’ mentions. Here are some of the best responses:

Trevon Diggs seemingly called out Josh Allen for being made by his brother Stefon Diggs

Trevon Diggs is evidently not a member of the Josh Allen fan club.

Trevon Diggs is serious about his brother and doesn’t mind stirring the pot.

The Buffalo Bills are currently in shambles. They lost a brutal matchup against the Denver Broncos on Monday that included a turnover on the game’s first play, some mystifying Josh Allen interceptions,  plus an awful special teams penalty on the final drive that sealed their fate.

After the game, much of the fan chatter online was around how the Bills roster appeared to be much better than their 5-5 record indicated. But, what sent shock waves through social media was Trevon Diggs, the brother of Bills receiver Stefon Diggs, taking to Twitter to suggest that his brother needs to leave Buffalo.

Yet, Trevon wasn’t done.

On Tuesday, the Dallas Cowboys corner insinuated that Josh Allen’s career was successful because of his brother. Welp.

There might be a whole lot of shade in that tweet, but there’s also some possible truth.

Before Stefon Diggs arrived, Allen had a 56.3% completion percentage, 30 touchdowns, and averaged 6.6 yards per throw. In over 50 games with Diggs on the field, Allen has a 66% completion percentage, 127 touchdowns and averages 7.4 yards per throw.

Grab your popcorn, Bills fans. The team just fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, and the Buffalo Bills rollercoaster is not done yet.

Stefon Diggs’ brother, Trevon, now takes shot at Josh Allen

Stefon Diggs’ brother, Trevon, now takes shot at Josh Allen:

Not only did Trevon Diggs not back down, he’s doubled down.

Following the Bills’ 24-22 upset loss to the Broncos on Monday Night Football’s Week 10 action, Trevon Diggs made sure to let his feelings be known. He took to social media and said his brother, Bills receiver Stefon Diggs, “gotta get up outta there.”

There being Buffalo.

Now, there’s more emotions known.

Diggs took what is a clear shot at Bills quarterback Josh Allen, noting “he didn’t start going off till bro got there.”

The only thing missing is Allen’s name… but we all know what he means.

Trevon Diggs, a cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, is sidelined because of injury currently. Meanwhile, the Bills are sidelined from the AFC playoff picture.

Not only does the Bills coaching staff, which is now without Ken Dorsey, have to worry about that, now there’s this.

Trevon Diggs declares his brother Stefon has ‘gotta get up outta’ the Bills after horrible loss

Even Stefon Diggs’ brother thinks it’s time for the receiver to leave the Bills after a HORRIBLE Buffalo loss.

It’s one of those seasons in Buffalo, with the Bills middling when they should, on paper, be contending.

And as they headed into this season, there were some moments of Stefon Diggs’ frustration, either reported or voiced by the receiver himself.

After a horrible loss to the Denver Broncos, Diggs’ brother Trevon — who as you know plays for the Dallas Cowboys, although he tore his ACL earlier this year — was watching, and he had something to say about his sibling. Specifically, seven words and two emojis to say that it’s time for Stefon to leave for another team (hey, they’d be fun together on the Cowboys, right? No?).

Yikes.

UPDATE: There’s more!

That’s a Josh Allen shot. YIKES X 2!

Trevon Diggs tweets brother Stefon needs to get out of Buffalo

Trevon Diggs doesn’t like his brother, Stefon’s situation in Buffalo

The trade deadline is long gone so nothing is going to happen in the short run.

However, if injured Dallas Cowboys DB Trevon Diggs had his way — and he had his say after the Bills lost to the Broncos on Monday — his brother Stefon would exit Orchard Park.

After a game that saw Stefon Diggs with three catches for 34 yards on five targets, Trevon Diggs took to Twitter with an emotional tweet:

Cowboys’ Trevon Diggs underwent ACL surgery with good news

Diggs waited over a month to have the surgery, but has now gone under the knife and it appears things are looking positive. | From @ArmyChiefW3

Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs underwent successful knee surgery Tuesday, looking to repair his torn ACL suffered during practice on September 21. According to multiple reports, he did not sustain any damage to other ligaments, paving the way for a successful return next season.

Diggs, who had one interception on the season while only allowing two receptions, was supposed to be half of a formidable cornerback duo opposite former Defensive Player of the Year Stephon Gilmore.

The combination may have only made it through two games as Gilmore is on just a one-year deal.

One may wonder why Diggs waited over a month to have the surgery when he was officially placed on injured reserve on September 23rd. While there is no word yet on the cause for the delay, multiple factors such as swelling (edema) and body temperature (hyperthermia) can play roles in how long before a player is ready for the surgery. The risk of arthrofibrosis, or a buildup of scar tissue, becomes a concern as well.

Diggs will not return this season for the Cowboys, however his recovery plan appears to be on schedule.

Chargers’ reasons for optimism vs. Cowboys

Here are four reasons to believe the Chargers come out on top over the Cowboys.

The Chargers return to the field on Monday night with a primetime matchup against the Cowboys, who are fresh off an embarrassing loss to the 49ers.

Here are four reasons to be optimistic that Los Angeles continues Dallas’ slide.

LOOK: Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs gets gameday tribute from brother, Bills WR Stefon

From @ToddBrock24f7: Stefon Diggs displayed a message for his injured little brother on his eye black prior to the Bills’ Week 3 game against the Commanders.

The Cowboys will take the field today without Trevon Diggs, but the team will no doubt have their superstar cornerback on their minds when they do.

They’re not the only ones.

Trevon’s brother Stefon Diggs paid a special tribute to his little brother as the Bills wide receiver readied himself to face the Washington Commanders in their Week 3 game.

Diggs was spotted by cameras during pregame proceedings at FedEx Field with the message “5ever Tre 7” written on his eye black.

Trevon tore an ACL during Thursday’s practice and will miss the remainder of the 2023 season. When former NFL player and current ESPN broadcaster Bart Scott made light of the injury with a rather insensitive joke on the air Friday, Stefon was among those who clapped back.

“Bart scott,” Stefon posted to social media. “Like what did you gain from that? Other than looking like a [clown emoji]”

The two brothers have always been quite close, often training together and competing against one another at events like Pro Bowl skills challenges. Trevon even lobbied for Dallas to go acquire Stefon when the Bills wide receiver was unhappy with the Buffalo organization in a contract dispute.

Now it’s Stefon’s turn to show his “more than 4ever” support for Trevon with his game-day equipment modification.

Trevon’s son Aaiden, who has become a fixture at Cowboys games and a minor celebrity after his appearances on HBO’s Hard Knocks, made the trip to Landover for his uncle’s Week 3 game and was seen playing catch with him on the field in pregame warmups.

The brothers had been scheduled to face one another on the field later this season when the Cowboys travel to Buffalo for a showdown in Week 15.
