On Sunday, November 17 the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills met for a highly anticipated Week 11 matchup that may end up having huge implications on the AFC playoff picture later this year.

While the Chiefs made a signature late-game comeback attempt in Sunday’s tilt against Buffalo, it wasn’t enough to keep Josh Allen and the Bills from snapping Kansas City’s nine-game winning streak.

Buffalo dominated on both sides of the ball, exposing all of the Chiefs’ weaknesses and toppling Kansas City’s perfect season.

Despite this loss to their rivals, the standings in the AFC remain the same with the Chiefs retaining their lead over the second-place Bills.

Kansas City will have to fight to regain the momentum they built earlier in the regular season and will have a chance to earn their tenth win against the Carolina Panthers on November 24.

The Chiefs’ Week 11 performance was not without exciting moments that fans can appreciate, even after a bitter loss.

On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs overcame all odds to defeat the Denver Broncos 16-14, thanks to a last-second field goal block by budding linebacker Leo Chenal.

Fans won’t soon forget Chenal’s heroic effort on the game’s final play, and with their latest victory, the Chiefs stole Denver’s chance to deliver Kansas City its first loss of the season.

Star pass-catcher Travis Kelce made history by tying Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez’s franchise record of 76 receiving touchdowns. Kelce has repeatedly shown that he has what it takes to stand among the greatest receivers of all time.

The Week 10 matchup put the Chiefs’ rivalry with the Broncos in the spotlight and produced one of the most exciting games of the season for both teams.

After this win, Kansas City’s win streak was extended to 15 straight games. The defending Super Bowl champions have not lost since their matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day in 2023.

The Detroit Lions played in the great outdoors for the first time this season in Week 9. Despite being a dome-based team, the Lions handled the chilly breezes and driving rainstorm significantly better than the host Green Bay Packers, winning 24-14 in a game that was not as close as the final margin indicates.

The inclement elements couldn’t stop Lions QB Jared Goff from completing 18 of his 22 passes, or the two-headed rushing attack of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs from netting 138 yards on 28 carries. Safety Kerby Joseph scored on a pick-six, too.

The Detroit Lions bounced back from a flat preseason debut against the Giants with a thrilling victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. The road win in the second exhibition game over the defending Super Bowl champs is a sweet taste of victory, albeit in a game that doesn’t count in the standings.

With the Lions sitting almost every starter on both sides of the ball, Detroit still managed to pull off the last-second stunner over a Chiefs team that played most starters for most of the first half of the game. Kicker Jake Bates nailed a 43-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Lions to the 24-23 win.
