Michigan State basketball head man Tom Izzo spoke to the media on Monday ahead of the Spartans game against Iowa.
The Spartans are in the midst of a ten game stretch, where MSU has won eight of them. As MSU gears up for their midweek game against Iowa, fresh off of a win at Michigan, there is a lot to talk about for Izzo.

Michigan State took a trip to Happy Valley on Valentine’s Day and came away with their second road win of the season, defeating Penn State, 80-72, and picking up a huge Q2 victory.
The Spartans carried their momentum from Saturday’s win against Illinois and had a convincing performance against the Nittany Lions, and on a night where AJ Hoggard and Tyson Walker combined for just 10 points.
Malik Hall led the way with a career high 29 points, while Jaden Akins added 20 points and Carson Cooper tied a career high with 10 points.

Tom Izzo had a lot to say after MSU’s win over Michigan
Tom Izzo earned his 700th career win on Tuesday night when the Spartans took down their rivals, Michigan, in a 81-62 drubbing inside of the Breslin Center.
The game didn’t always go the Spartans way, with Michigan playing a very good first half, and taking a two-point lead into the break. The Spartans responded by outscoring the Wolverines by 21 in the second half en route to a blowout win.

It has been a roller coaster of a season already for Michigan State basketball. A bad start before a hot run was halted by a two game losing skid at Northwestern and Illinois. Though, the Spartans were able to right the ship on Sunday against Rutgers, beating the Scarlet Knights at home, 73-55.
The Spartans have a favorable stretch of games upcoming, and getting a win against a pesky Rutgers team was imperative in making sure they take advantage of the upcoming stretch.

Michigan State pulled out a gritty win over Indiana State on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Sycamores 87-75 at the Breslin Center.
Despite trailing by 5 with just over ten minutes to go in the game, an outstanding ten minute stretch to close out the game commenced for the Spartans, outscoring the opposition 28-12, and taking the double digit win.
Even though the name on the jersey said Indiana State, this felt like a big time game and a big time win for Michigan State.

Tom Izzo had a happy press conference after his team’s dominating win over Baylor
Michigan State and Baylor locked up together for a game inside of Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans, sitting at 4-5, were desperate for a big time win. They got it in a big way.
MSU dominated the No. 6 ranked Bears on Saturday, blowing them out. 88-64, and getting a signature win early in the season.
The game went so well that Tom Izzo was seen smiling on the sidelines late in the contest.
