With the NFL’s legal tampering period set to get underway, we’re looking at the 10 worst free agent signings in Philadelphia Eagles franchise history

NFL teams make some of the worst decisions when it comes to the process of properly evaluating and, or adding big named free-agent talents to the roster. When it works, it can change your organization’s path to success, while leading to multiple playoffs or Super Bowl runs.

When it doesn’t work, it can be disastrous with costly consequences from the general manager all the way down to personnel.

We’ve compiled a list of the ten worst free-agent signings in the Eagles’ team history and almost added Eric Wilson (2021) to the list before placing him on the honorable mentions list.

Darvin Ham: And getting that call from Rob Pelinka and having Jeannie Buss and Tim Harris all those guys over there to let the Lakers Lakers brass pinpoint me as being the guy who they felt confident in and leading this next wave, this next charge toward a championship. It was very, very humbling man, very humbling. I actually felt prepared because again, having gone through the cycle, like that was my 10th interview. So having essentially interviewed with one-third of the league and sitting next to the guy sitting next to him coach Bud and his biggest attribute as a coach, in my opinion, is his preparation. So having all of those tools and then having been forced to be patient, it was a totally fulfilling

Browns elevate two from practice squad, re-sign Alex Taylor to practice squad

Browns have elevated two secondary players from the practice squad for this week and brought back OL Taylor after waiving him a few days ago:

With injuries and the new rules that went into place in 2020 due to COVID-19, the Cleveland Browns have stayed constantly busy with their roster. Andrew Berry and company have always looked to churn the bottom of the roster and practice squad to put the team in the best place to win week in and week out with a bit of an eye on the future as well.

The most recent roster moves in advance of Sunday’s game with the Pittsburgh Steelers include elevating two players off the practice squad and bringing back offensive lineman Alex Taylor.

Two days ago, the team waived Taylor from their active roster. After he went unclaimed, Berry added Taylor to their practice squad.

The Browns have also elevated cornerback Tim Harris and safety Jovante Moffatt to the active roster for today’s matchup. With Denzel Ward out and AJ Green questionable, Harris provides a depth option at cornerback while Moffatt can help in the secondary as well.

Both Harris and Moffatt are also likely to be useful on special teams, if they are active for the game which is likely.

Taylor is a developmental player who was signed to the active roster to protect against injury concerns on the offensive line. He has bounced between teams this season after spending training camp with Cleveland before returning recently.

Harris and Moffatt will revert back to the practice squad following the completion of Week 8’s game against the Steelers.

Browns practice squad: Team adds cornerback, offensive lineman

The Browns add two more to their practice squad with another corner, with a connection to Joe Woods, and an interesting rookie offensive lineman:

The Cleveland Browns continue to be busy with making additions to their practice squad. After confirming 11 players to the squad yesterday, including 10 players who had just been cut by the team, the Browns added two more today.

Yesterday, Cleveland brought back WR Ja’Marcus Bradley, DT Sheldon Day, TE Jordan Franks, DE Porter Gustin, RB John Kelly, LB Elijah Lee, S Jovante Moffatt, WR, JoJo Natson, FB Johnny Stanton and DE Curtis Weaver.

The team also added QB Nick Mullens to the practice squad instead of attempting to keep Kyle Lauletta. Mullens having some starting history in the league may have helped his cause.

Today, the team announced that they have added cornerback Tim Harris and offensive lineman David Moore. Harris was drafted by the San Fransisco 49ers in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL draft but struggled with injuries as a rookie and was on their practice squad the majority of 2020.

Harris was with the Niners when Joe Woods, now Browns defensive coordinator, was coaching with the team.

Many were surprised when Moore went undrafted. The Grambling State alum shows a lot of upside to his game. He initially signed with the Carolina Panthers before being waived. The New York Jets were awarded the claim on Moore but the Browns had also placed a claim on him at that time.

Cleveland officially has three practice squad spots left to fill.

49ers roster moves: CB Tim Harris flexed from practice squad

The San Francisco 49ers are flexing cornerback Tim Harris from the team’s practice squad prior to their matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

The San Francisco 49ers are taking advantage of some of the NFL new rules on roster management prior to their matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. To solidify their secondary depth, the 49ers are flexing cornerback Tim Harris from their practice squad to the active roster. By flexing instead of promoting Harris, the 49ers will be allowed to place him back on the practice squad without exposing him to waivers.

Cornerback Emmanuel Moseley is out with a hamstring injury, so Harris will give the club additional depth in the secondary and on special teams.

Harris was drafted by the 49ers in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL draft out of the University of Virginia. He missed all of last season after being placed on injured reserve with a groin injury. After failing to make the team’s active roster this season, he was signed to the practice squad. He has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Tim Harris wanted to gain a better …

Tim Harris wanted to gain a better understanding of the moment and how the Lakers could make a positive impact. Harris was put in touch with Dr. Karida Brown, an assistant professor at UCLA in African American Studies and Sociology. “What started as one conversation with the staff to just offer some insight, some perspective on this present moment, turned into a set of conversations,” Brown said in a conference call Friday. “That set of conversations led to my question: ‘Is the Lakers a non-racist organization or an anti-racist organization?’ And I was super happy when Tim responded, ‘You know what, we hadn’t necessarily thought about it in those terms. But I can say that we are aspirationally anti-racist.’”

Lakers coach Frank Vogel and general …

Lakers coach Frank Vogel and general manager Rob Pelinka also spoke on the call Tuesday. Team owner Jeanie Buss and Tim Harris, the president of business operations and chief operating officer, were part of the virtual conference as well. The meeting when for about an hour. “The Lakers did a great job letting their players have a voice,” one person said. “The Lakers understand what’s happening. They have always been about helping their community and that hasn’t stopped even now when the Lakers and others sports teams are needed the most.”
