That has created an extra buzz about the game. How will Oklahoma’s new QB1 perform under the bright lights heading into 2024, a season in which Arnold is expected to be the starter for the Sooners?

Well, if you’re still looking for seats to the Alamo Bowl, Seat Geek has great options available for you.

A family outing to a SEC home opener cost $160 per person, USA TODAY Sports study finds

If a family of four wanted to make a weekend of an SEC team’s home opener, it could run them about $160 per person, a USA Today study found.

A USA TODAY Sports study published Monday said a family of four who wanted to attend a home opener for an SEC team would spend an average of $643.47, or about $160.87 per person.

The math included four tickets bought on the resale website TicketSmarter.com the Monday before the game. The study also factored in the cheapest public parking within a mile of the stadium, four hot dogs, and four sodas.

The cheapest combined costs were found at Vanderbilt, which only totaled $259.49 (about $64.87 per person). Arkansas and Mississippi State were both under $350 as well. Georgia and Tennessee both surpassed $1,000 for total expenses calculated, with the Volunteers coming in at $1,256.73 (about $314.18 per person).

The combined costs of parking, food, and beverage averaged out to about $71 per stadium, with Missouri being the cheapest at just $40.

The full results of the study can be found here.

Broncos increase ticket prices by average of more than 13%

The Broncos are increasing their average ticket price from $116.15 to $132.05 in 2023.

Denver Broncos season tickets will see a significant price increase in 2023.

Last year, the Broncos’ average ticket price was $116.15. This season, the average price will increase to $132.05, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. That additional $15.90 per game represents a 13.689% increase.

Denver has credited the increase in price in part to a “market” adjustment. Broncos tickets sold for an average of 40% more on the secondary market than their average price of $116.15 in 2022.

Of course, secondary market tickets for NFL teams are usually higher than direct-from-team tickets, but Denver used that as part of their explanation for the increase. The Broncos have sold out every game dating back to 1970, so the club knows there’s enough demand for fans to continue paying even as the ticket prices continue going up.

Denver also has a 50,000-name wait list for season tickets.

The Broncos’ list of opponents for the 2023 season includes hosting the New England Patriots, New York Jets, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Washington Commanders and Cleveland Browns at Empower Field at Mile High. Denver will also host each AFC West team this fall.

College football: Top 5 hottest tickets for Week 11

If you could attend one game this college football weekend what would you choose?

Week 10 wound up being one of the craziest that the 2022 college football season ultimately offers.  Three of the nation’s top-six teams fell while plenty of other ranked teams were upset.  What will Week 11 have in store?

The slate isn’t as strong as there isn’t a GeorgiaTennessee matchup to be found.  However, plenty of games still feature compelling matchups that will have an impact on who ultimately makes the College Football Playoff and which teams win their respective divisions or conferences.

So which games are the toughest to get into this weekend?  There are some obvious guesses but the folks over at Vivid Seats have the numbers on just how expensive tickets are going for.  Check out their top-five average ticket prices for Saturday’s college football games below.

Chiefs have 5th-most expensive tickets on secondary market

The #Chiefs currently have some of the most expensive tickets in the NFL on the secondary market.

The Kansas City Chiefs have seen their ticket prices soar on the secondary market during the Patrick Mahomes era, and it doesn’t look like those prices will be going down during the 2022 NFL season.

According to Logitix, the average price of a ticket to a Chiefs home game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in 2022 is $354 on the secondary market. That number marks the fifth-most expensive ticket in the NFL, with the Raiders ($595), Dolphins ($387), Chargers ($361) and Rams ($359) coming in ahead of them. Las Vegas, with their new Allegiant Stadium, had the widest gap between teams on the secondary market last season. That looks to be the case this year as well.

There are a number of reasons why ticket prices on the secondary market are so high for Kansas City. Demand is obviously one of the biggest things and tickets to see the Chiefs play at home are always in high demand among fans. It’s not just local Kansas City fans driving the prices, though.

The Chiefs play one of the toughest schedules in the NFL this season, meaning they’ll have some very exciting matchups throughout the year. Arrowhead Stadium is a nice central destination for those visiting fans looking to travel to see their team play on the road.

Then, of course, there’s just the star power of having Patrick Mahomes as the face of your franchise. That alone will sell tickets if you’re the Chiefs.

Right now, it looks like the Week 6 rematch with the Buffalo Bills is the most expensive individual game for Kansas City with prices averaging well over $300 per ticket. A close second is the home opener against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2.

Raiders home games in Las Vegas most in-demand tickets in NFL

Vegas, baby! That’s what a lot of NFL fans are saying right now as the schedule is finally released and single game tickets go on sale. That doesn’t just mean Raiders fans, either. One of the early concerns about the Raiders moving to Las Vegas was …

Vegas, baby! That’s what a lot of NFL fans are saying right now as the schedule is finally released and single game tickets go on sale. That doesn’t just mean Raiders fans, either.

One of the early concerns about the Raiders moving to Las Vegas was the possibility that the stadium could fill up with opposing fans who are using the game as an excuse to take a trip to Sin City. And from the looks of it, that could be happening.

Vivid Seats put together a list of games this season, ordering them by their price and five of the top six are all Raiders home games.

The only ticket in the NFL that is currently more expensive on average is Tom Brady’s return to Foxboro. The next five are all Raiders home games.

The top two Raiders home games are their two home primetime matchups against the Ravens (MNF) and Chiefs (SNF).

To be fair, this doesn’t necessarily mean Raiders fans will be outnumbered by opposing fans or lose home field advantage. Plenty of these tickets could be traveling Raiders fans. The Raiders do still have a strong fan base in Southern California and plenty of fans from across the country who are eager to see their team in their new digs for the first time while taking in some Vegas night life. Though, if that were the only reason, I would expect to see the Broncos and Chargers games up there being that they’re division rivals.

Ticket prices released for Wisconsin football’s season opener vs. Penn State

With Wisconsin basketball’s 2020-21 season now officially over, it’s time to turn focus to the Badgers’ upcoming season on the gridiron.

With Wisconsin basketball’s 2020-21 season now officially over, it’s time to turn focus to the Badgers’ upcoming season on the gridiron.

Who cares if the season-opener isn’t for 166 days, or if the program doesn’t start spring practice for another week. Football season is on the horizon, and an email from the athletic department from earlier today is making it start to feel real.

[lawrence-related id=29594,29113,28803]

“Following a season without fans at Wisconsin football home games last year, the Badgers look forward to welcoming fans back to Camp Randall Stadium in the fall of 2021,” the opening of the release reads.

The specific numbers aren’t known at this point and probably won’t be known until the season nears. But fans will be back at Camp Randall this fall, welcome news after the year that was 2020.

Also included in the release are single-game ticket prices for the team’s seven home games—prices which are broken up into three brackets based on the stadium’s various sections.

For Wisconsin’s season-opener against Penn State, those prices will be $130 for lower bowl tickets, $110 for upper bowl sections CC-II and $95 for upper bowl sections AA-BB & JJ-LL.

166 days, or 23 Saturdays, until Wisconsin kicks off their 2021 football season. And Badger fans will again have the chance to watch their team take the field live, in-person at Camp Randall Stadium.

Chiefs vs. Browns tickets are in huge demand, short supply on secondary market

Expect a large contingent of Browns fans at Arrowhead Stadium for the game.

The Kansas City Chiefs are set to host the Cleveland Browns during their divisional round playoff game and tickets are in high demand.

The decision-makers in Kansas City don’t plan to alter the course when it comes to their current allotment of tickets. Right now, Arrowhead Stadium’s capacity is capped at right around 17,000 as it has been all season long. The team won’t be releasing any more tickets for this game or the AFC Championship Game if the Chiefs are to host it. That means there is already a limited supply of tickets available to the general public.

According to TicketIQ’s Jesse Lawrence, the average price on the secondary market for tickets to this weekend’s game is $862.00 and rising. That’s over double the price of any other home playoff game since the 2010 season. The lack of inventory and reduced capacity is certainly driving up the prices of these tickets, but there’s also another factor playing a part.

Chiefs team president Mark Donovan says that Browns fans are driving the secondary market.

“When we confirmed we’d be hosting playoff games, we started talking about how there were teams that hadn’t been in the playoffs for a long time, much like we were a few years ago,” Donovan said. “When you get in, they’re going to do everything they possibly can to be here so, we’ve got to be prepared for that. I think that will affect prices this week on the secondary market because Cleveland is one of those teams with a pent-up demand, especially with the win they had [against the Steelers], a lot of people get excited to get on that bandwagon and be here and be part of this.”

It’s been 18 years since the Browns’ last playoff game and 25 years ago since they last won a playoff game. Fans weren’t allowed at Heinz field for the game against the Steelers, so this is their first actual opportunity to see the Browns play in the postseason.

Obviously, the initial cause for concern is that Cleveland’s fan base might outnumber Chiefs fans in their own stadium. The Arrowhead Stadium experience is quite different when there are 17,000 fans than it is with 75,000. Why would Kansas City fans pay more than double the prices of regular playoff tickets for that experience?

The good news is that Donovan confirmed a sellout of the Chiefs’ ticket allotment reserved for their Season Ticket Members. There was also some data to suggest that those fans intend to hang onto those tickets and attend the game.

“What we did was we took all of the available tickets and made them available to our Season Ticket Members,” Donovan said. “We sold out of our entire allotment for the most part… We have holds for the visiting team, we have holds for the league, so there will be tickets sort of trickling back out here as those are used or not used… An interesting little tidbit to that was about 40% of those sales were from our Season Ticket Members who hadn’t attended a game yet this year. When you think about that, those are fans who said, ‘We’re going to take the year off. We’re going to push to next year. We’re going to be safe and watch from home but still be a part of it, still be committed to the team.’ Forty percent of those tickets went to people who hadn’t been to a game. I think it also points to the safety protocols put in place and the belief that you can come and be safe here at Arrowhead.”

Ultimately, the business side seems to be operating under the assumption that Chiefs Kingdom is still very passionate about their team, that they trust the protocols in place and that they’ll be in the building to support on Sunday despite those high ticket prices.

Ticket prices soaring for Packers-49ers NFC Championship Game

Ticket prices are exorbitant for the NFC Championship Game between the Packers and Niners at Levi’s Stadium.

If you are looking for a ticket to the NFC Championship featuring the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers Sunday at Levi’s Stadium, expect to dig deep … as in incredibly deep into your wallet.

The games is sold out and the secondary market is booming. The average price of a ticket on the resale market is currently $778. 50-yard line seats are going for more than $2,300 and the cheapest get-in price is currently over $300.

Stubhub.com has its best value for a seat in the all-inclusive BNY Mellon Club West. That comes at the cost of $2,669.10. Heaven knows why there is an extra dime on that price.

Now, that is a sweet view and the seat is all-inclusive.

The descripion is tempting for the Mellon Club West or East if you are making mega-bucks:

Located at the 50-yard line behind the 49ers sideline at the field level, the BNY Mellon Club West is one of the most premium spaces at Levi’s® Stadium. The interior features granite and woven carpet flooring, bronzed metal column covers and deep crimson specialty wall covering. The club features centrally located action cooking stations, as well as a focal point full service bar.

Or

Located at the 50-yard line behind the visiting team sideline at the field level, the East Field Club and BNY Mellon Club East offer a unique “club within a club” experience. The interior features granite and woven carpet flooring, bronzed metal column covers and deep crimson specialty wall covering. Within the interior BNY Mellon Club East, patrons can take advantage of centrally located action cooking stations, as well as a focal point full service bar. The exterior East Field Club, separated from the interior club by a unique custom, bronzed metal divider featuring footballs, offers more traditional bars and food stations.

Expect a record crowd to watch the game with a Super Bowl bid on the line.

Chiefs and Titans fans are more fortunate. The secondary market is far calmer for the AFC Championship at Arrowhead Stadium.
