Broncos increasing ticket prices by 7.9% in 2024

Coming off their eighth straight season of missing the playoffs, the Broncos are increasing ticket prices by nearly 8% in 2024.

Despite missing the playoffs for an eighth straight year and posting a losing record for a seventh straight season, the Denver Broncos are raising their ticket prices ahead of the 2024 campaign.

The Broncos started their season ticket renewal process last week and fans were informed that prices are increasing by an average of about 7.9% in 2024, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis.

This comes after the team increased prices by more than 13% in 2023. So over the last two years, season ticket holders have seen their cost increase by an average of more than 20%.

Some fans have decided to opt out because of the increasing cost.

“I’m out after 27 years. Not renewing,” @bordesa1 wrote on Twitter/X last week. “Small increase here, another there….no big deal, right? Well…since 2016, the first Post-PFM Year of Suck, my cost is up 34%.”

The Broncos, of course, aren’t hurt by fans opting out because the club has a 100,000-person waitlist of fans hoping to one day buy season tickets.

The average price per game for 2024 season tickets is about $143. The average price per ticket was about $132 last year. One day, Denver’s increases might price too many fans out. For now, though, the waitlist demonstrates that the demand is there, and the Broncos will exploit it.

Sun Bowl: Ticket Prices High on Secondary Market

Who out there is headed to the game?

The 2023 Sun Bowl pits two teams that have met just twice all-time, both in bowl games, together.  Notre Dame will serve as the home team in El Paso as they take on Oregon State.

Oregon State has won the previous two meetings between programs – the 2001 Fiesta Bowl and the 2004 Insight Bowl.

Notre Dame coming to a rare sight for the Fighting Irish helped make this game a sellout in rather short order.  However, the secondary market remains possible for tickets if you plan to be near El Paso next week.

You can get into the game with tickets on SeatGeek for just $14.  That will get you an end zone seat.

If you have significantly deeper pockets, $700 will get you a seat on the 50-yard line roughly halfway up behind the Notre Dame bench.

The current capacity of the Sun Bowl is listed at 46,670 and you can bet that nearly all of those will be filled on December 29.

Current ticket prices for Alabama-Michigan Rose Bowl CFP semifinal

If you plan on going to the Rose Bowl CFP semifinal between Alabama and Michigan, be prepared to open up your wallet.

Top-ranked Michigan and No. 4 Alabama are set to face off in the historic Rose Bowl, which serves as a College Football Playoff semifinal this season. These two programs are some of the biggest brands in the game with the largest fan bases. Surely, the fans would want to come out to Pasadena in droves to support their respective team.

As Lee Corso always says, “Not so fast, my friend!”

If you plan on attending the Rose Bowl, the cheapest ticket you’ll be able to find on SeatGeek is a whopping $485 a piece, and the site is rating this a 9.7/10 “amazing deal.”

However, if money isn’t an issue and you want the best seats available, be ready to pay up. While most lower-level seats are available between $1,000 and $2,500, the most expensive tickets can be purchased for $5,110 each.

The game is expected to be a great one, which is the reason why this is the most expensive bowl game this season. Some fans prefer to watch the game from the comfort of their own home, or perhaps their local sports bar. Others, though, look forward to dropping some cash to experience the thrill of the College Football Playoff in person.

The winner of the Rose Bowl will move on to the national championship game in Houston, where they will face the winner of the Sugar Bowl between No. 2 Washington and No. 3 Texas.

Current ticket prices for Wisconsin vs. LSU in the ReliaQuest Bowl

Current ticket prices for Wisconsin vs. LSU in the ReliaQuest Bowl

Luke Fickell got the Badgers into a New Year’s Day bowl game in this first season as head coach, just not the New Year’s Day game you necessarily want to be in.

It will be the 7-5 Badgers and No. 13 9-3 LSU Tigers in the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa, Florida.

For those considering a trip and wondering about the ticket prices, it doesn’t appear to be the toughest ticket in the world to get.

As of Tuesday, December 19, SeatGeek has tickets listed from $51 to $1,334. Raymond James Stadium in Tampa does not lack for space, so numerous second-level seats are going for under $100.

[afflinkbutton text=”Shop ReliaQuest Bowl tickets at Seat Geek” link=”https://seatgeek.pxf.io/y2PYkG”]

The ReliaQuest Bowl, formally known as the Hall of Fame Bowl and the Outback Bowl, has been won by the Badgers twice: a 34-20 victory over Duke in 1995 and the famous 34-31 overtime victory over Auburn in 2015.

It may not be the game Badgers fans hoped for at the start of the season. But knowing how both the LSU and Wisconsin fanbases travel, I’d expect an underrated atmosphere in Tampa for the game.

Current ticket pricing for Oklahoma Sooners vs. Arizona Wildcats in the Alamo Bowl

A look at the current ticket prices for the Oklahoma Sooners showdown vs. the Arizona Wildcats.

This year’s Alamo Bowl holds special significance. It will be the first start of Jackson Arnold’s Sooners’ career when Oklahoma takes on the Arizona Wildcats in San Antonio.

That has created an extra buzz about the game. How will Oklahoma’s new QB1 perform under the bright lights heading into 2024, a season in which Arnold is expected to be the starter for the Sooners?

Well, if you’re still looking for seats to the Alamo Bowl, Seat Geek has great options available for you.

Tickets range anywhere from $42 to $464, depending on where you want to sit. If you want to sit on the 50-yard line behind Oklahoma’s bench, it’s gonna cost you quite a bit more than if you were willing to sit behind the Wildcats. Those seats are running as high as $322.

While the seats behind the teams cost a pretty penny, you can still find lower level seats under $100.

A family outing to a SEC home opener cost $160 per person, USA TODAY Sports study finds

If a family of four wanted to make a weekend of an SEC team’s home opener, it could run them about $160 per person, a USA Today study found.

A USA TODAY Sports study published Monday said a family of four who wanted to attend a home opener for an SEC team would spend an average of $643.47, or about $160.87 per person.

The math included four tickets bought on the resale website TicketSmarter.com the Monday before the game. The study also factored in the cheapest public parking within a mile of the stadium, four hot dogs, and four sodas.

The cheapest combined costs were found at Vanderbilt, which only totaled $259.49 (about $64.87 per person). Arkansas and Mississippi State were both under $350 as well. Georgia and Tennessee both surpassed $1,000 for total expenses calculated, with the Volunteers coming in at $1,256.73 (about $314.18 per person).

The combined costs of parking, food, and beverage averaged out to about $71 per stadium, with Missouri being the cheapest at just $40.

The full results of the study can be found here.

Broncos increase ticket prices by average of more than 13%

The Broncos are increasing their average ticket price from $116.15 to $132.05 in 2023.

Denver Broncos season tickets will see a significant price increase in 2023.

Last year, the Broncos’ average ticket price was $116.15. This season, the average price will increase to $132.05, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. That additional $15.90 per game represents a 13.689% increase.

Denver has credited the increase in price in part to a “market” adjustment. Broncos tickets sold for an average of 40% more on the secondary market than their average price of $116.15 in 2022.

Of course, secondary market tickets for NFL teams are usually higher than direct-from-team tickets, but Denver used that as part of their explanation for the increase. The Broncos have sold out every game dating back to 1970, so the club knows there’s enough demand for fans to continue paying even as the ticket prices continue going up.

Denver also has a 50,000-name wait list for season tickets.

The Broncos’ list of opponents for the 2023 season includes hosting the New England Patriots, New York Jets, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Washington Commanders and Cleveland Browns at Empower Field at Mile High. Denver will also host each AFC West team this fall.

College football: Top 5 hottest tickets for Week 11

If you could attend one game this college football weekend what would you choose?

Week 10 wound up being one of the craziest that the 2022 college football season ultimately offers.  Three of the nation’s top-six teams fell while plenty of other ranked teams were upset.  What will Week 11 have in store?

The slate isn’t as strong as there isn’t a GeorgiaTennessee matchup to be found.  However, plenty of games still feature compelling matchups that will have an impact on who ultimately makes the College Football Playoff and which teams win their respective divisions or conferences.

So which games are the toughest to get into this weekend?  There are some obvious guesses but the folks over at Vivid Seats have the numbers on just how expensive tickets are going for.  Check out their top-five average ticket prices for Saturday’s college football games below.

Chiefs have 5th-most expensive tickets on secondary market

The #Chiefs currently have some of the most expensive tickets in the NFL on the secondary market.

The Kansas City Chiefs have seen their ticket prices soar on the secondary market during the Patrick Mahomes era, and it doesn’t look like those prices will be going down during the 2022 NFL season.

According to Logitix, the average price of a ticket to a Chiefs home game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in 2022 is $354 on the secondary market. That number marks the fifth-most expensive ticket in the NFL, with the Raiders ($595), Dolphins ($387), Chargers ($361) and Rams ($359) coming in ahead of them. Las Vegas, with their new Allegiant Stadium, had the widest gap between teams on the secondary market last season. That looks to be the case this year as well.

There are a number of reasons why ticket prices on the secondary market are so high for Kansas City. Demand is obviously one of the biggest things and tickets to see the Chiefs play at home are always in high demand among fans. It’s not just local Kansas City fans driving the prices, though.

The Chiefs play one of the toughest schedules in the NFL this season, meaning they’ll have some very exciting matchups throughout the year. Arrowhead Stadium is a nice central destination for those visiting fans looking to travel to see their team play on the road.

Then, of course, there’s just the star power of having Patrick Mahomes as the face of your franchise. That alone will sell tickets if you’re the Chiefs.

Right now, it looks like the Week 6 rematch with the Buffalo Bills is the most expensive individual game for Kansas City with prices averaging well over $300 per ticket. A close second is the home opener against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2.

Raiders home games in Las Vegas most in-demand tickets in NFL

Vegas, baby! That’s what a lot of NFL fans are saying right now as the schedule is finally released and single game tickets go on sale. That doesn’t just mean Raiders fans, either. One of the early concerns about the Raiders moving to Las Vegas was …

Vegas, baby! That’s what a lot of NFL fans are saying right now as the schedule is finally released and single game tickets go on sale. That doesn’t just mean Raiders fans, either.

One of the early concerns about the Raiders moving to Las Vegas was the possibility that the stadium could fill up with opposing fans who are using the game as an excuse to take a trip to Sin City. And from the looks of it, that could be happening.

Vivid Seats put together a list of games this season, ordering them by their price and five of the top six are all Raiders home games.

The only ticket in the NFL that is currently more expensive on average is Tom Brady’s return to Foxboro. The next five are all Raiders home games.

The top two Raiders home games are their two home primetime matchups against the Ravens (MNF) and Chiefs (SNF).

To be fair, this doesn’t necessarily mean Raiders fans will be outnumbered by opposing fans or lose home field advantage. Plenty of these tickets could be traveling Raiders fans. The Raiders do still have a strong fan base in Southern California and plenty of fans from across the country who are eager to see their team in their new digs for the first time while taking in some Vegas night life. Though, if that were the only reason, I would expect to see the Broncos and Chargers games up there being that they’re division rivals.
