Class of 2027 QB Trent Seaborn speaks on Alabama recruitment, more

Roll Tide Wire goes one-on-one with Thompson QB Trent Seaborn to get his thoughts on the recent offer from Nick Saban and Alabama.

It’s not every day that [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and the Alabama football program dish out an offer to a prospect that hasn’t even started high school yet but that’s exactly what the seven-time national championship coach did this past weekend when the Tide offered class of 2027 quarterback Trent Seaborn of Thompson High School.

Seaborn famously led the state of Alabama’s top program to a state championship in 2022 as an eighth grader and has since been flooded with scholarship offers from all across the country.

With Seaborn officially receiving an offer from coach Saban and Alabama, Roll Tide Wire reached out to get the young gunslinger’s thoughts on the offer and what it means to him.

Below is our exclusive interview with Trent Seaborn!

2023 Clemson DL commit Peter Woods why he chose Dabo Swinney over Nick Saban

Hear what this 2023 Clemson commit had to say about Nick Saban.

Peter Woods is the No. 3 defensive lineman and No. 23 player overall in the 2023 recruiting class and he just committed to Clemson. This loss was a big one for the Crimson Tide, as Woods attended Thompson high school in Alabaster, Alabama.

After his commitment, Woods went on to discuss what it was that swayed him toward Clemson, as well as the difference between Dabo Swinney and [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag].

When asked about the coaches Woods said, “Dabo to me is a lot more lively, a lot more understanding of teenage life and he says all the time that he specializes in 18 to 24-year-old men.”

It will be interesting to see if the Tide and Tigers meet down the road anytime soon.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Alabama football throughout the 2022 offseason.

Clemson lands massive five-star commitment from Peter Woods

Clemson just landed a game-wrecking defensive lineman prospect and the second five-star recruit in its 2023 class.

Clemson just added a huge piece to its 2023 recruiting class.

In a much-anticipated decision, five-star defensive lineman Peter Woods announced on Friday evening at Thompson High School (Alabaster, Ala.) that he is committing to Clemson, choosing the Tigers over Alabama, Florida and Jackson State.

Woods is the No. 3 defensive lineman and No. 23 overall recruit in the class of 2023 and is the second five-star to commit to Clemson, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

The 6-foot-3, 270-pounder finished his junior season with 92 tackles (26 for loss), 11 sacks, two pass breakups and one forced fumble.

The Crimson Tide had long been the favorite to land the Alabama native, but since he took an official visit on June 3, the narrative began to play in Clemson’s favor. Hours before Woods’ decision, three 247Sports recruiting insiders crystal balled him to Clemson.

With Woods’ pledge to defensive line coach Nick Eason and the Tigers, Clemson now has a loaded defensive line group in its 2023 class. Along with Woods, the Tigers’ have verbal commitments from four-star defensive lineman Vic Burley, four-star defensive lineman Stephiylan Green, four-star edge David Ojiegbe and four-star defensive lineman AJ Hoffler.
