Why isn’t Tiger Woods wearing Nike at the 2024 Masters Tournament?

Here’s why Tiger Woods won’t be wearing Nike at The Masters.

When Tiger Woods makes his much-anticipated return to the putting greens at Augusta National Golf Club on Thursday, he won’t be wearing the iconic Nike swoosh logo that he’s donned for so many years. It’s very likely that fans may be wondering: What happened with Nike and Tiger?

Truthfully, the answer is still unclear, but in January, their 27-year partnership came to an end. At the time, Tiger made the announcement via social media, saying that there would be “another chapter.” Weeks later, Woods announced his new lifestyle brand, Sun Day Red, and eventually unveiled it at the Genesis Invitational. The brand name, which is intentionally three words, is a tribute to the “rule of threes” and holds several meanings:

  • Sun — Golf is mostly played in the sun
  • Day— Golf can be played on any day of the week
  • Red — A tribute to his mother’s heritage and his power color

When will The Masters tee times be after Thursday’s rain delay? Live updates before 2024 tournament gets underway

Here’s the latest update on the Thursday rain at The Masters.

We know this much: The Masters won’t tee off at its usual time on Thursday for the 2024 edition of the major golf tournament at Augusta National.

Due to rain in the forecast, there will be some delay of the tee times, which could push back certain golfers and could give us a Round 1 finish for some late names on Friday if things really get moved. Thanks to the high-tech drainage system at Augusta, maybe that will help move things along. At least we know we’ll get some photos of the rain-soaked course.

So how long is the delay? Keep it here for live updates, but as of publishing this on Thursday morning, we know that the first round will begin at 10:30 a.m. ET, with honorary starters teeing off at 10:10 a.m.

Bubba Watson’s daughter wowed the Par 3 tournament crowd with her stellar putting ability

Bubba Watson’s daughter wowed crowds at Wednesday’s Par 3 tournament.

Bubba Watson is one of the better golfers in the world and a former Masters champion, and it looks like excelling in Augusta runs in the family.

During Wednesday’s Par 3 tournament for professional golfers and their families, Watson’s daughter Dakota showed off her incredible putting skills with two very impressive nudges that landed right on target.

Bubba Watson had to be a proud father watching Dakota wowing the Masters crowd like that, as her second putt in particular elicited the type of roaring cheer usually reserved for the weekend.

Maybe Dakota Watson will be competing in professional golf one of these days and carry on the family legacy of winning in the majors.
