See Dwight Howard sing the heck out of a Little Richard classic on ‘The Masked Singer’

The Octopus was the center!

We’ve got another athlete to add to the pile of stars who have graced The Masked Singer stage.

There was Chloe Kim. Lonzo Ball was on and Ken Jeong nailed the guess. Mark Sanchez fooled everyone. Barry Zito wowed us all and yep, we all knew it was Gronk from the start.

But this season, we got to see The Octopus, who was a HUGE singer that did Little Richard’s classic Tutti Frutti.

Once again, Jeong threw out a guess that it was Dwight Howard … and he nailed it! The Lakers center said Masked Singer was his mom’s favorite show and that he sang the song for his sister.

Here’s his clue package and the performance — there’s a lot of talk about smiling a lot and people mistaking that, which was Howard all the way:

Here’s the reveal:

And his interview:

He even said he took singing lessons for the show, which is just great.

And ‘The Masked Singer’ Season 4 winner is …

This year’s finalists are so talented.

WARNING: MASKED SINGER SPOILERS AHEAD! DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN WEDNESDAY’S FINALE!

Ready? OK.

A season full of surprises on The Masked Singer has included a bunch of athletes: there was former NFL QB Mark Sanchez, New Orleans Pelicans star Lonzo Ball, and Olympic gold medalist Chloe Kim.

But on Wednesday’s finale, the finalists included a bunch of truly talented singers. There was Mushroom, Crocodile and Sun. And after some performances, some final guesses from the judges and some reveals, a winner was crowned.

The Crocodile turned out to be Nick Carter of Backstreeet Boys and solo artist fame:

Chloe Kim was revealed on ‘The Masked Singer’ and hilariously called out Ken Jeong

Kim is a good singer!

This season of The Masked Singer already had a pair of athletes in costume who were revealed — Watchamacallit was New Orleans Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball and Baby Alien turned out to be former NFL QB Mark Sanchez.

Turns out there was another: Olympic gold medalist snowboarder Chloe Kim!

She turned out to be Jellyfish, which was revealed Wednesday night. Judge Ken Jeong nailed it, and what was even better was Kim informed the actor and comedian that she sent an Instagram two years ago to tell him how funny he was … and he never read it.

Kim is a terrific singer, as she proved this season:

There were some pretty awesome clues — there were four X’s on a Tic-Tac-Toe board to point to four X Games medals and a gold-piped throne (because she won gold on the halfpipe).

Lonzo Ball was revealed on ‘The Masked Singer’ and Ken Jeong nailed it

He was good!

It was a huge Wednesday night for the Ball family, and that’s not just because LaMelo Ball was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets.

On the latest episode of The Masked Singer, Watchamacallit was revealed to be … Lonzo Ball!

And what’s even better about that is judge Ken Jeong NAILED the guess and went nuts when he saw Ball under the mask. Ball, as we know, has released rap singles on the side of his NBA career.

There were some clues that clearly pointed to Ball — three bees in one video represented the Big Baller Brand, and an arrow on a clock pointed to No. 2, his jersey number. He was surrounded by dimes in another video.

Here he is performing Skee-Lo’s I Wish, which is also a song that happens to have basketball references:

Is Lonzo Ball the newest contestant, Whatchamacallit, on Fox’s ‘The Masked Singer’?

Lonzo Ball’s music career may have taken an interesting turn as he may be a contestant on Fox’s The Masked Singer.

[jwplayer YfQjH4zC-z6KDnl0B]

Lonzo Ball’s rap career has been well-documented and has led to him releasing multiple studio albums. He’s earned credibility among fellow NBA rappers in the league and has garnered millions of views and listens on YouTube.

But very little of his music career has been mainstream in the national audience, though that might be changing.

Fox’s show “The Masked Singer” features celebrities dressing up in costumes and singing under anonymous identities. The show has featured athletes in the past like Rob Gronkowski or Victor Oladipo. On Wednesday’s fourth episode of season four, a returning character called Whatchamacallit appeared for the second time this season and lots of signs of the singer’s real identity pointed to Ball.

An animated sequence gave a lot of clues, both obvious and subtle. First, there’s an allusion to the singer nearing the height of his career and being “ready to dance” before a call about his mother “deflated” him. That could be a reference to Ball’s time at UCLA when, just before the NCAA Tournament, his mother Tina suffered a stroke.

There are more subtle hints, like the dimes surrounding the Whatchamacallit character at one point, referring to the assists Ball is known for. After his performance, Whatchamacallit says judge Ken Jeong should know who he is and Jeong is an NBA fan and has been spotted at Laker games.

Mark Sanchez completely fooled ‘The Masked Singer’ panel and fans

WOW!

Mark Sanchez wasn’t known for being the most elusive of quarterbacks during his time in the NFL (yep, that’s a Butt Fumble joke!).

But on this season of The Masked Singer, he totally fooled everyone, from fans to the panel.

On Wednesday, Group B got its turn on the series, and it was Baby Alien who was eliminated after singing George Michael’s Faith and Imagine Dragons’ It’s Time (and pretty well, may I add!). Guesses from the judge included Eric Bana, Jeff Dunham and Taylor Lautner.

But nope! It was Sanchez, working a little puppet (and he was a really good puppeteer!). His clue packages didn’t help anyone think it was an athlete, let alone a former NFL QB.

There was that horseshoe and the roses, which maybe is a nod to the USC Trojans and the Rose Bowl? There’s that pronunciation of “route,” perhaps? But between the accent and those obscure clues, that’s tough. Where is the reference to the butt fumble!? That would have been a dead giveaway.

Maybe Sanchez has a future as a puppeteer? I’m seriously impressed.

‘Masked Singer’ fans are trying to figure out which athletes are in the cast

We dive into Season 4.

The Masked Singer is back for another round of mystery celebrities belting out tunes while in costume, and in seasons’ past, we’ve seen Barry Zito, Rob Gronkowski, Victor Oladipo and other athletes appear.

With the Season 4 premiere on Wednesday, we heard from host nick Cannon that there’s someone with an Olympic gold medal in the mix. Hmmm.

So the guesses as to the owner of that gold medal — and who else could be an athlete — has begun.

There are two singers that have been called out as possible pros. The Sun spoke about getting burned out after being a star for a while, and some “extreme seasons.” She smacked away some asteroids with tennis rackets (hmm) and was a “gold member” (like a gold medal perhaps?). So there are some Lindsey Vonn guesses:

However, did you see that Mickey Mouse logo in the middle of the clues video? I think this is Demi Lovato. But if it is Vonn, it’s cool to find out she has an incredible voice.

Meanwhile, the Giraffe seems really tall, so there were some guesses about it being a pro, with talk about swinging higher and being “off to the races.”

I haven’t seen a good guess for this one yet, but we’ll keep an eye out as always.

‘The Masked Singer’ fans are stunned about the surprise winner of Season 3

Did a runner-up get robbed?

WARNING! SPOILER ALERTS AHEAD! DON’T READ UNLESS YOU’VE SEEN THE MASKED SINGER FINALE!

Ready? OK.

After an epic season of the FOX mystery singer competition show (which included athletes Barry Zito and Rob Gronkowski), we have a winner! It’s the Night Angel, who was Kandi Burruss, a former member of Xscape, a Grammy-winning songwriter and a star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

But Twitter was filled with fans who thought that the Turtle — who was the runner-up — got robbed. It turns out, as many people guessed, it was singer Jesse McCartney under the mask. Let’s look back at their unmaskings:

Here’s a sampling of the reaction:

Here are a few performances:

Barry Zito’s incredible ‘Masked Singer’ run as Rhino came to an end

The pitcher was unmasked on Wednesday.

Just because it was pretty obvious that the Rhino on this season of The Masked Singer was former Cy Young-winning pitcher Barry Zito doesn’t take away from his amazing run on the FOX singing competition show.

Zito made it all the way to the semifinals and performed a Tim McGraw song, Humble and Kind that had judge Nicole Scherzinger wiping away tears. But his run ended and Zito — who has a post-baseball music career — was unmasked and judge Ken Jeong celebrated because he correctly guessed it was the pitcher under there.

Here’s a snippet of his final performance and a post-reveal interview:

Zito joins Rob Gronkowski and Tony Hawk as the athletes who have appeared on this season.

Yep, it was Rob Gronkowski on ‘The Masked Singer’ all along

Of course!

You can’t say we didn’t tell you so.

Rob Gronkowski’s run on The Masked Singer ended on Wednesday night, with the former New England Patriots tight end being unmasked as the White Tiger.

This was all SUPER obvious all the way back in February, when the clues included a cow skiing (Gronk COWSKI!) and how he was “no stranger to celebrating.”

Since performing Good Vibrations and Ice Ice Baby, he added a crowd-pleaser that got everyone on their feet: Right Said Fred’s I’m Too Sexy. It was so obviously Gronk that both judges Robin Thicke and Jenny McCarthy nailed it.

Here’s his post-unmasking interview:

And here’s Gronk’s response on Instagram:
