Marvel fans were absolutely obsessed with [Spoiler’s] costume change

So darn awesome.

Stop right there! This article contains a major spoiler from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. We discuss a plot reveal from the sixth and final episode of the first season. If you’re not interested in spoiling what happens, they you have to get out of here.

Last chance!

Finally, Sam Wilson is Captain America. And finally, we get to see Wilson’s supersuit as Captain America.

It. Is. Awesome.

The Marvel Studios team built a suit, which is clearly inspired by the comics in a big way. In fact, it looks almost like an exact replica from the comics. At the beginning of the episode, Wilson shows up wearing his red, white and blue suit, with the shield and his wing suit.

Here’s a look at how fans reacted on Twitter.

Everyone loved Wilson being Captain America — just in general.

Yup, he was absolutely the right guy for the job (and John Walker was not).

Marvel fans lost their minds after a dark final scene of episode four in ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’

That final scene! Oh my goodness.

This article contains spoilers from the fourth episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. If you don’t want to know what happens, you should leave this article. Like…. right now. Hit exit. Last chance!

John Walker (Wyatt Russell) was completely unhinged in the final moments of the fourth episode, “The Whole World is Watching,” of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

The new Captain America, furious at the death of his friend Lemar Hoskins, killed one of the Flag Smashers with the end of his shield in front of a crowd of people, all of whom were taking video. Walker had been deeply unlikable for much of the show — that’s the point, Russell admitted. But Walker’s decision to kill the Flag Smasher, who wasn’t even responsible for Hoskins’ death, was a deeply dark twist for his character arc. Walker, having taken the super serum, is dangerous and a liability. It’s possible — and probably likely — that this is the end of Walker as Captain America.

Here’s how Marvel fans reacted to seeing the dark final scene.

So now what?

Will Sam challenge John Walker for the mantle of Captain America? Will the U.S. government denounce Walker for his actions?

It should be a gripping finish for the show.

Breaking down the surprising cameo at the end of episode 3 of ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’

You were probably a little confused at the end of the latest episode. Let us explain.

Beware! This article contains spoilers from episode 3 of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. If you haven’t seen it and don’t want to know what happens, then you probably shouldn’t have clicked this link. Get out of here! For everyone else, please proceed.

It felt like everything in episode three, “The Power Broker,” was moving predictably. But The Falcon and The Winter Soldier saved the episode’s biggest surprise for the final moments.

Ayo (Florence Kasumba) made her appearance — just before the credits rolled on the episode. Why did she show up? Well, she said it herself: “I’m here for Zemo.”

She wasn’t the only character to make a cameo. We also saw agent Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp), who was an enemy of the state and fled to Madripoor, the fictional Southeast Asian city where most of the episode is set. Carter, however, is a fixture in the Captain America storyline, so it’s hardly shocking to see her in this episode, especially after she came up in dialogue in episode two. But Ayo? Now that’s an interesting twist.

Let’s dive in.

Marvel fans roasted Captain America after episode 2 of ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’

No one seems to like the new Captain America.

A word of caution: this article contains spoilers from the second episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier titled “The Star-Spangled Man.” If you don’t want to know the plot points from that episode, leave now (and come back later). Sound good? Good.

The new Captain America is the absolute worst.

In the second episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, we began to get to know Steve Rogers’ replacement John Walker, a seemingly respectable government agent who is well-decorated and well-accomplished — and just … awful. Let’s just say he has a nails-on-the-chalkboard presence. In the latest episode, Walker even used a gun. A gun! That is not Rodgers’ style.

But there were more substantial problems with Walker’s attitude, largely centering his tactless approach to befriend Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes. It really started heating up with a hilariously awkward Jeep ride.

“That (super) serum doesn’t exactly have a great track record,” Walker said, looking at Barnes. “No offense.”

Offense taken. Bucky is exactly what went wrong with the super serum, with Hydra brainwashing him, giving him the serum and weaponizing him as an agent of evil. Bucky’s evil acts — which resulted in what seems to be crippling guilt and grief — are exactly what he is struggling to process in this series (hence, the therapist.) So Walker’s offensive comments probably (or definitely) struck a nerve.

But then he didn’t stop there. He explained he found Bucky and Sam’s location by finding Red Wing, the drone The Falcon controls.

“It wasn’t exactly hacking. It’s government property. I’m kind of the the government,” Walker said.

Oh no he didn’t! He didn’t just call Red Wing his property, did he? (He did.) Again, offense taken. Sam loves that drone.

When Walker finally took a hint that he, Sam and Bucky would not get along, Walker issued a warning at the end of the episode: “Stay the hell out of my way.”

That also didn’t seem to go over well. They brushed him off and parted ways. And so Marvel fans ripped into this new, unlikable Captain America.

Marvel fans did not let the stay-the-hell-out-of-my-way line slide.

It’s fair to say Walker didn’t win many hearts this episode.
