Both offenses have been off to a hot start, with Texas leading Texas Tech 17-7 at the end of the first quarter.

Sam Ehlinger led his team on a 13 play, 75-yard touchdown drive to open the game. The senior quarterback punched the ball in from the five-yard line to cap off the drive.

Texas Tech answered immediately, going 75 yards in just six plays. Slot wide receiver KeSean Carter continued his great 2020 season with a 13-yard touchdown from Alan Bowman.

Texas’ second touchdown of the game came from Joshua Moore, his second of the season. Although the pass was thrown into double coverage, Moore made an incredible catch to put the Longhorn up by 10.

The Longhorns’ rushing attack is off to a great start, already having 75 yards on 17 carries. Keaontay Ingram and Roschon Johnson have gotten a majority of the touches so far with Bijan Robinson getting two carries.

Cameron Dicker began his Big 12 play with a 43-yard field goal to put Texas ahead. After missing a kick against UTEP, Dicker will be looking to stay consistent this season.
