2024 4-Star QB Air Noland took an unofficial visit to Texas A&M on Monday

2024 4-star quarterback Air Noland took an unofficial visit to Texas A&M on Monday less than two weeks before he is set to commit on Saturday, April 8th.

Monday’s are either the worst or best day of the week for most and for those of us who spend every waking hour (I’m embellishing) of the day following any recruiting updates as the new week begins, surprise campus visits just have a way of turning that frow upside down.

Last Saturday, 2024 4-star quarterback Air Noland out of Fairburn, Georgia narrowed down his final Top 6 school list, which included Texas A&M among Alabama, Miami, Clemson, Ohio State, Arkansas, and Oregon. Noland also announced his official commitment day for Saturday, April 8th, yet did not go into any specifics on future visits in the next two weeks.

Well, surprise! Through a post on social media (Twitter) this afternoon, Noland revealed that he was on an unofficial visit to College Station, alongside the current 2024 4-star wide receiver commit and fellow Georgia native, Debron Gatling.

Listed at 6-3, and 195 lbs, Noland is ranked as the 7th quarterback in the 2024 class, and the 8th ranked player in Georgia. If it wasn’t for the likes of quarterbacks likes of Dylan Raiola and Jadyn Davis, Noland would be ranked within the Top 5, but still separates himself with the quickest release in the class while excelling in the pocket, and is a dangerous option as a runner in RPO or when things break down.

The Aggies are in desperate need to sign a quarterback for the 2024 class in preparation for the future, and no one has been more important to head coach Jimbo Fisher and his staff than Air Noland in the last six months, so without reading too much into to his visit on Monday, this could be a very good sign ahead of his commitment day.

2024 4-Star QB Air Noland places Aggies in his Top 7 program list

One of the top recruits on Texas A&M’s priority list has released his Top 7 school list ahead of his commitment announcement in April.

The wait is finally over, as Air Noland, one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2024 recruiting class has narrowed down his options after releasing his Top 7 program list on Saturday afternoon. Heavily recruited by newly inducted offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino, Noland is a pure playmaker with infinite potential at the next level, and without a quarterback signed in the 2023 cycle for the maroon white, Noland remains a priority recruit in his final recruiting stage.

Hailing from Fairburn, Georgia, and Langston Hughes High School, Noland is rated as a high-end 4-star prospect and is ranked as the 55th player in the class, the 8th quarterback in Georgia, and the 7th-ranked quarterback in the country. Since offering him last November, Noland has taken two unofficial visits to College Station on Nov. 26th of last year, and just two months ago on Jan. 20th. Noland’s final seven school list is made up of Alabama, Miami, Clemson, Ohio State, Arkansas, Oregon, and of course, Texas A&M.

247Sports recruiting analyst Andrew Ivins’s scouting report for Air Nolan exemplifies just how special the southpaw can be at the college level:

“A lefty that can attack all three levels of the field. Has measured roughly 6-foot-2, 190 pounds multiple times. Owns a quick, compact release that is believed to be one of the fastest –if not the fastest– in the 2024 cycle. More than comfortable on the move and has plenty of experience running RPOs out of a single-back spread attack. Will beat defenders to the sticks with his legs, and is more than creative when the pocket starts to break down, but shouldn’t be considered a run-first quarterback as he keeps his eyes downfield while working through his progressions and always seems to be looking for the home run.”

Reportedly planning to announce his commitment set for April 8th, Texas A&M has laid the groundwork, and now comes the waiting game in today’s expedient recruiting landscape. Good luck, Air!

Texas A&M offers 2024 3-Star Quarterback EJ Caminong

Texas A&M has officially offered 2024 3-star quarterback EJ Caminong

No matter the region or state, Texas A&M Head coach Jimbo Fisher is going to recruit whoever he feels fits the Aggies’ program from a talent, culture, and academic standpoint, as Friday’s focus was on 2024 3-star quarterback EJ Caminong, who is a current commit with the Washington Huskies. received his 5th and first SEC offer from none other than Texas A&M.

Caminong, a native of Seattle, Washington, received an offer from the Huskies on May 20th of last year, and without hesitation committed to the program on Oct. 26th. I don’t blame the young man for making a quick decision and following his heart, but as talented and currently overlooked as Caminong is, getting an offer from the Aggies at this point in his recruiting journey is highly meaningful, to say the least.

EJ Caminong is currently listed at 6-2, and 195 lbs, and is ranked as the 19th quarterback, and 9th-ranked player in Washington in the 2024 class. After a productive 2022 junior season at Garfield High School, 247Sports National Recruiting Editor Brandon Huffman described Caminong’s on-field ability:

“Caminong made a big jump in the offseason and it has carried over to the young season. He always had the physical tools and the arm strength but where he’s improved greatly is in his pocket presence and his decision making, instead of forcing throws like he did as a sophomore, he’s going through reads, keeping his eyes downfield and dropping passes right into the tightest of windows.”
Caminong is no doubt a very intriguing prospect to keep an eye on in the coming months, and if the feeling is mutual, a visit to College Station is definitely a possibility in the near future.

Recruiting: Many Aggie targets stop by to check out Spring training

As the Aggies settle into spring training, they have also been hosting a number of highly rated recruits

High school juniors and seniors are making the rounds to college campuses looking for a place to call home for the next few years, or until they decide to transfer. Spring Training presents an opportunity for these future athletes to get an out-of-season experience with multiple teams with the heavy pressure of committing.

Texas A&M is in a very unique situation especially on the offensive side of the ball due to the major shakeup at the offensive coordinator position. With all of the chatter about Jimbo’s answers to the play calling this will be the first-time recruits in a different role than they might have expected.

Lastly, these visits will also give the recruits a somewhat behind-the-scenes look at all of the renovations happening at Kyle Field and in the athletic department. Quality facilities along with attractive stadiums go a long way in recruiting, and for some, might be the deciding factor if all other factors are viewed as equal.

So with Spring training underway and prospects filing into Bryan/College Station please take some time to check out some of the recruits planning to visit Aggieland.

2024 4-Star WR Rico Scott unveils Top 6 school list

2024 4-Star WR Rico Scott released his Top 6 program list on Thursday, and low and behold, the Aggies are in clear contention for the rising star

Texas A&M is preparing for a major recruiting push this spring, leading into the summer for A&M’s annual recruiting pool party in late July. Already four players to the 2024 class, a lot of work is left to be done, and on Thursday, one priority recruit, 4-star wide receiver Rico Scott released his Top 6 school list, made up of Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Tennessee, Penn State, and last but not least, Texas A&M.

Under Head coach Jimbo Fisher, the Aggies have recruited well at the wide receiver postion in the last two cycles, most notably landing current starters Evan Stewart and Moose Muhammad III, Fisher continued to add playmakers in the 2023 class including 4-star wide receivers Micah Tease and Raymond Cottrell.

Rico Scott, hailing from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is one of the most intriguing wide receiver prospects in the 2024 cycle, noted as the best route runner in the class with the on-field production to back it up, recording 1,184 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns during his 2022 junior season at Bishop McDevitt High School. Standing at 6-0 and 185 lbs, Scott is versatile as all get out while also performing at both running back and defensive back, revealing shades of current Aggie wide receiver Ainias Smith.

According to 247Sports, Scott is ranked as the 41st wide receiver and 4th player in Pennsylvania, and received his official offer from Texas A&M on March 24th of last year, the same day he took his first “unofficial” visit to College Station.

2024 4-Star and Aggie commit Dealyn Evans makes a big jump in 247Sports’ Top247 rankings

in the newest set of 247Sports’ Top247 for the 2024 cycle, Aggie commit and 4-Star DL Dealyn Evans makes a huge jump

Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class is still in its early stages, with the highest-rated prospect in the signing class being 4-Star Defensive lineman Dealyn Evans, as of Tuesday afternoon, Evans, along with a number of other recruiting prospects made huge jumps in 247Sports’ Top247 rankings.

Evans, who stands at 6-4, 260 lbs, was previously ranked as the 145th player in the class, rose all the way to No. 70, as the Longview, Texas native is now ranked as the 10th Defensive lineman and 12th player in Texas. For the Aggies, Evans’ rise is a potential sign of things to come for Texas A&M’s recruiting efforts, as it was reported earlier this month that Evans has been trying to recruit fellow 2024 prospects to visit the Aggies.

Other prospects and recruiting targets who rose include 5-star CB Kobe Black (No. 15), 5-star EDGE Colin Simmons (No. 20), 4-star CB Selman Bridges (No. 44), 5-star WR Micah Hudson (No. 16), and 5-star WR Terry Bussey (No. 17).

Texas A&M is in a recruiting battle with Texas for 2024 4-Star OT Blake Ivy

Texas A&M and Texas are currently the primary contenders for 2024 4-Star Offensive tackle, Blake Ivy

Even though you’ll have to wait until the 2024 college football season to finally watch the reincarnation of the Lone Star Showdown between Texas A&M and Texas, both programs are having their own little battle on the recruiting field, vying to a commitment from ascending 2024 offensive tackle Blake Ivy. Ivy will reportedly make visits to Texas A&M, Texas, and LSU in the spring and summer.

Due to his extremely impressive wingspan (over 7 ft), Ivy is the modern prototype at the offensive tackle position due to the unbelievably athletic edge rushers dominating today’s game at the college and NFL level, Ivy’s 6-4, 285lb frame is just what the doctor ordered for any SEC program going against some of the top pass rushers every Saturday.

Ivy is currently ranked as the No. 185 recruit in the country for 2024, the No. 14 ranked offensive tackle in the country, and the No. 37 recruit from the state of Texas according to Rivals.

National Recruiting Analyst Nick Harris recently detailed Ivy’s workout at the Under Armour event in Dallas, Texas last week, noting his improvement in multiple O-line drills, especially in the run game. Switching to his present recruiting journey, Ivy revealed that both Texas A&M and Texas are the two programs recruiting him the hardest, first stating that his relationship with Texas O-line coach Kyle Flood is something he values the most while detailing why Texas A&M’s staff stood out more than anything else during his recent Jan, 28th unofficial visit.

“They’re straight-forward,” Ivy stated. “They won’t hide anything and you’ll get what you get with them all.”

As each program will continue to push for Ivy’s commitment in the coming months, every contending program is on equal footing, though the Aggies and Longhorns may be the only ones left standing just weeks before Ivy is set to make a decision.

2024 4-Star OT Weston Davis confirms visit date to Texas A&M

The talented offensive line prospect out of Beaumont, Texas has set an official date to visit the Aggies this spring

Things are heating up between 2024 4-Star offensive tackle Weston Davis and Texas A&M, as the Beaumont, Texas product placed the Aggies within his Top 6 program list last weekend, Davis announced through social media the following Monday that he will in fact be visiting College Station in the very near future.

The Aggies have officially begun spring football this week, as 15 mandated practices between March 20th and April 14th will lead up to the April 15th Maroon and White Spring Game, and on Saturday, March 25th, Weston Davis announced that he will be attending the Aggies’ weekend practice for an unofficial visit.

Weston Davis is entering his senior year at Beaumont High School and is currently ranked as the 9th offensive tackle in the country, and 23rd player in Texas, according to Rivals. Standing at 6-4, and 285 lbs, Davis is a multi-sport athlete in both football and basketball, while his noticeable athleticism on the gridiron as a downfield blocker has made him a priority recruit for Head coach Jimbo Fisher.

Texas A&M offers 2024 3-Star Safety Rydarrius Morgan

It was revealed on Monday that Texas A&M has offered the rising 2024 safety, Rydarrius Morgan

Texas A&M officially opened spring football practice on Monday, as all eyes are on the state of the roster, and the new additions to the coaching staff, yet Head coach Jimbo Fisher is still hard at work recruiting for the 2024 cycle, most recently sending an offer on Monday to the rising 3-star safety prospect, Rydarrius Morgan.

It’s no surprise that Morgan has popped up on the Aggies’ radar, as the Alabama native has now received offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, and Ole Miss, while taking a recent visit to the Crimson Tide on March 4th. Texas A&M’s offer comes at the perfect time for a potential visit to College Station with the April 15th Maroon and White Spring Game approaching, yet a visit later this spring or summer is probably more likely.

Heading into his senior year at Central High School in Phoenix City, Alabama, Morgan has continued to grow, currently standing at 6-0, and 175 lbs, and is ranked as the 43rd safety prospect, and 24th player in the state of Alabama, according to On3.

2024 4-Star OT Weston Davis places Texas A&M among Top 6 Schools

Texas A&M recruiting target Weston Davis has revealed his Top 6 program list.

Texas A&M simply broke the mold when it comes to recruiting the best talent at nearly every position group in a single class after the historic 2022 recruiting class made its way into the history books, and even though it’s highly unlikely that such a feat will be accomplished any time soon, securing commitments within the 2024 recruiting cycle is all Head coach Jimbo Fisher is focused on outside of preparing for the April 15th Spring Game.

One priority prospect for the Aggies recently made an important announcement regarding his future is that of 4-star Offensive tackle Weston Davis, who recently named his Top 6 programs, which include Alabama, Oklahoma State, LSU, Oklahoma, TCU, and of course, Texas A&M.

Davis, who is entering his senior year at Beaumont High School in Beaumont, Texas is currently ranked as the 9th offensive tackle in the country, and 23rd player in Texas, according to Rivals. Standing at 6-4, and 285 lbs, Davis is also a talented basketball player for Beaumont, a program that was nationally ranked while reaching the Class 6A state title game. With a more open schedule going forward, I’d expect Weston Davis to take a visit to College Station sooner than later.
