Sneed attended Tennessee’s Night at Neyland camp on June 1. He also visited the Vols nine times over the last year.

The four-star tight end is from Donelson Christian Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.

Sneed is ranked as the No. 172 overall prospect in the class of 2026. He ranks as the No. 8 tight end and No. 4 player in Tennessee.

The Vols offered Sneed a scholarship on March 4, 2023.

Tennessee to play home-and-home series against Louisville

Vols to play home-and-home basketball series against Louisville.

Tennessee announced an agreement for a home-and-home basketball series with Louisville.

The Vols and Cardinals will play on Nov. 9 at KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

Tennessee will host Louisville on Dec. 6, 2025 at Food City Center. The schools are approximately 250 miles apart and have played 20 times. the Cardinals are 12-8 against Tennessee.

The Vols are 5-5 in games played at Louisville and are 1-5 in Knoxville. The teams have played four times on a neutral-site games.

In the last five meetings, at least one team was ranked in the top 15.

Tennessee and Louisville last played on Nov. 21, 2018 in the NIT Season Tip-off at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Tennessee defeated the Cardinals, 92-81.

Louisville head coach Pat Kelsey is entering his first season with the Cardinals. He previously served as head coach at College of Charleston.

Besides the Vols, Harris will officially visit Maryland on June 13 and Penn State on June 21.

The four-star edge prospect is from Riverdale Baptist School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Harris is ranked as the No. 248 prospect in the class of 2025. He also ranks as the No. 20 edge prospect and No. 5 player in Maryland.

The Vols offered a scholarship to Harris on Jan. 18, 2023.

Three Lady Vols qualify for NCAA Outdoor Championships

Three Tennessee women’s track athletes advance to NCAA outdoor finals.

Three Tennessee women’s track and field athletes qualified for Saturday’s NCAA Outdoor Track Championships. The Lady Vols’ second-ranked 4×400-meter relay team also advanced to the finals.

2000-meter finals will be contested at 6:32 p.m. EDT on Saturday at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

Brianna White qualified for the finals after recording a time of 51.40 seconds in the 400-meter dash. She finished fifth in her heat and ninth overall.

In the 200-meter dash, Lady Vols’ senior Dennisha Page finished the event in 22.44 seconds and earning an automatic bid in the finals. She finished second in her heat and sixth overall.

The 200-meter final is slated for Saturday at 7:07 p.m. EDT.

Tennessee’s 4×400-meter relay team of Javona Valcourt, Kyla Robison-Hubbard, Dalour Miles and White recorded a fourth-place overall finish, posting a time of 3:27.65. The final is scheduled for 7:51 p.m. EDT Saturday.

Five Lady Vols earned Second-Team All-America honors in the Thursday’s semifinals.

Joella Lloyd and Page both competed in the 100-meter dash. Lloyd finished 11th and Page 13th, marking the first time since 2008 Tennessee had multiple All-Americans in the event.

Junior pole vaulter Sara Schmitt finished in 13th place, becoming the second All-American pole vaulter in Lady Vols’ history.

Valcourt earned an All-America certificate in the 400-meter dash as she finished 16th.

In the 400-meter hurdles, Robinson-Hubbard finished in 10th place.

The 6-foot-4, 255 pound three-star defensive lineman is from Cleveland Heights High School in Cleveland, Ohio.

Caesar ranks as the No. 679 prospect in the class of 2025. He also ranks as the No. 70 defensive lineman and No. 23 player in Ohio.

Tennessee offered a scholarship to Caesar on May 17, 2023.

The Vols will host Evansville (38-24) in a best-of-three series. The winner between Tennessee and the Purple Aces will advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

Game No. 1 is slated for Friday at 3 p.m. EDT at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The second contest is scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. EDT, while an if necessary game No. 3 is slated for Sunday at 6 p.m. EDT.

Former Vol pitcher Ben Joyce makes 2024 MLB season debut.

Former Tennessee pitcher Ben Joyce made his 2024 Major League Baseball season debut on Wednesday for the Angels (24-38).

Joyce pitched one inning in Los Angeles’, 3-2, win against San Diego (32-33). He allowed one hit, while not allowing a run or walk. Joyce totaled 17 pitches, including 13 strikes, against the Padres.

The former Vol was recalled by the Angels from Double-A Rocket City on June 2.

He was a third-round selection by the Angels in the 2022 MLB draft.

Joyce played for the Vols from 2021-22. after transferring from Walters State Community College He did not play in 2021 due to rehabbing from offseason surgery.

Joyce appeared in 27 games and started one contest in 2022 for Tennessee. He had a 2-1 record, while totaling 53 strikeouts in 32.1 innings pitched during the 2022 campaign.

The 6-foot-4, 335 pound three-star interior offensive lineman is from Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Georgia.

Ward will officially visit Tennessee on June 14. He unofficially visited Tennessee on Sept. 23, 2023 for the Vols’ game against South Carolina.
