The Tennessee Volunteers (2-6, 2-6 SEC) visit the Vanderbilt Commodores (0-8, 0-8) Saturday for a 4 p.m. ET kickoff in Nashville, Tenn. Below, we analyze the Tennessee-Vanderbilt college football betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Tennessee at Vanderbilt: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Friday at 11:15 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Tennessee -835(bet $835 to win $100) | Vanderbilt +550 (bet $100 to win $550)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Tennessee -16 (-110) | Vanderbilt +16 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 49.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Tennessee at Vanderbilt: Three things to know

  1. Tennessee holds a 76-33-5 lead in the all-time series against Vanderbilt, including a 28-10 win over the Commodores last season at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville. Vandy won the previous three in the series, however.
  2. The Commodores saw PK Sarah Fuller kick off in its last game against Missouri, and she became the first female to participate in an FBS game for a Power 5 conference school. Vandy was blanked 41-0, so she didn’t get to attempt a point-after try or field goal, but the soccer goalkeeper’s chance at more history could come in this one.
  3. Tennessee has had a power outage on offense lately, going for 73 total points over its past five games. The Volunteers averaged 29.0 PPG in their first three outings, including 66 total points in their first two games, for their only wins of the season.

Tennessee at Vanderbilt: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Tennessee 23, Vanderbilt 12

Money line (ML)

Tennessee (-835) put up a decent effort last week in a 31-19 loss against Florida, but not enough to risk more than eight times your potential return.

Remember, while Vanderbilt is winless, the Vols are on a six-game losing skid themselves. AVOID.

Against the spread (ATS)

VANDERBILT +16 (-110) is the lean in this one on its home field, as the Commodores look to avoid the dreaded goose egg for the season. They’re going to take that L, but Tennessee has struggled offensively, and this will be an ugly game, as you would expect between two teams with a combined record of 2-14.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 49.5 (-110) is the slam-dunk play of the afternoon. Tennessee hasn’t scored more than 20 points since Oct. 10 in Georgia, and Vanderbilt hasn’t scored period since Nov. 21, getting blanked last time out. Vandy is averaging just 14.5 PPG overall, good for 125th in the nation. Its offensive highlight will be Fuller getting on the board and making history.

Colorado at Tennessee odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Tuesday’s Colorado Buffaloes at Tennessee Volunteers sports betting odds and lines, with college basketball betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Colorado Buffaloes (2-0) visit Knoxville, Tenn., to meet the Tennessee Volunteers (0-0) Tuesday evening for a 6 p.m. ET non-conference game at Thompson-Boling Arena. Below, we analyze the Colorado-Tennessee college basketball betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Tennessee is ranked No. 16 in the Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Colorado at Tennessee: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday at 7:55 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Colorado +200 (bet $100 to win $200) | Tennessee -250 (bet $250 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Colorado +5.5 (-110) | Tennessee -5.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 137.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Colorado at Tennessee: Three things to know

  1. Colorado has been idle since defeating Kansas State, 76-58, on Nov. 27. Riding a combined plus-13 in turnover margin (16 own vs. 29 opponent), the Buffaloes have been impressive in winning their games by 23 and 18 points, respectively. Those first two, the Buffs are looking for three straight road wins for the first time since last November.
  2. Ranked Tennessee is playing its first game of the season after having three straight cancellations. The Volunteers were forced to pause all team activities on Nov. 23 after several players —  and HC Rick Barnes — tested positive for COVID-19. A return to action for the program was green-lighted over the weekend, so the Vols head into this game without much recent practice time as a group.
  3. The 20-21 Vols return four of their top six scorers from year ago when UT went 17-14. But Tennessee played a slow-pace style and averaged just 67.1 points per game (291st of 353 NCAA-I). An influx of new talent — three five-star recruits (Keon Johnson, Corey WalkerJaden Springer) — has the Volunteers well-placed in several preseason polls.

Colorado at Tennessee: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Tennessee 71, Colorado 64

Money line (ML)

Pegging Colorado as a top-75-type team, comps from Tennessee’s slate a year ago aren’t kind. But going back a couple years — when UT won 31 and 26 games, respectively — adds a more favorable outlook for the Volunteers. And with the talent influx in Knoxville, that seems the fairer comparison.

THE LEAN IS ON TENNESSEE, BUT STEER CLEAR OF ANY PRICE NORTH OF +225.

Against the spread (ATS)

Colorado is 1-6 ATS over its last seven games as a road dog (Unders have gone 6-1 over those same seven games). Barnes’ Tennessee teams have been strong out-of-the-gate/early season performers. And with the Buffs coming in after a 10-day layoff, this game is rust-vs.-rust even with it being a thrice-delayed lid-lifter for the Vols.

BACK TENNESSEE -5.5 (-110).

Over/Under (O/U)

UT is 6-1 over its last seven home tilts when favored in the 3.5-7-point range.  (The Vols went 5-2 ATS in those seven.) The pace figures as a low one, Tennessee can defend at a near-elite level, and it’s hard to envision shooting percentages surging on either side.

TAKE THE UNDER 137.5 (-110).

The Florida Gators (7-1) visit the Tennessee Volunteers (2-5) Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff. Below, we analyze the Florida-Tennessee college football betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Florida is No. 5 in the Amway Coaches Poll.

Florida at Tennessee: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 10:25 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Florida -770 (bet $770 to win $100) | Tennsee +520 (bet $100 to win $5205)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Florida -17.5 (-110) | Tennessee +17.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 62.5 (O: -115) | U: -105)

Florida at Tennessee: Three things to know

  1. Florida QB Kyle Trask is currently the Heisman favorite with 34 touchdowns to just three interceptions on the season. In eight games, he has already thrown for 2,810 yards and is completing 71.4% of his passes.
  2. Florida TE Kyle Pitts could be a top-10 draft pick, as he is the nation’s top tight end. He has played in just six games, but already has 11 touchdown receptions and is averaging nearly 18 yards per reception.
  3. Tennessee has not only lost five straight games to SEC opponents, but the Volunteers failed to cover the spread in each of those games.

Florida at Tennesee: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Florida 45, Tennessee 21

Money line (ML)

Florida is a huge money line favorite Saturday afternoon, but there just isn’t enough value on either side. The Gators should have no problem scoring at will. PASS on the money line in favor of better value on the point spread.

Against the spread (ATS)

FLORIDA -17.5 (-110) is the right play in this SEC matchup. Its only loss of the season came in a one-score game against Texas A&M earlier this season. The Gators have proven to be one of the best teams in the SEC and their offense might be the best in school history.

They’re averaging over 43 points per game and should come close to that number again today. Take Florida to cover the 17.5-point spread as Tennessee just doesn’t have the offensive firepower to keep up.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 62.5 (-110) should hit at Neyland Stadium Saturday as Florida will do most of the heavy lifting on offense. If Tennessee can score a few touchdowns, this feels like a lock to hit.

The Over has hit in seven of the last 10 games for Florida as the Gators finally have an elite pocket passer. Take the over here and root for a ton of points to be scored in Knoxville.

Tennessee at Auburn odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Tennessee Volunteers at Auburn Tigers sports betting odds and lines, with college football betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Tennessee Volunteers (2-4) visit the Auburn Tigers (4-2) for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff Saturday. Below, we analyze the Tennessee-Auburn college football betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Auburn is No. 21 in the Amway Coaches Poll.

Tennessee at Auburn: Betting odds, spread and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Friday at 7:40 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: Tennessee +350 (bet $100 to win $350) | Auburn -455 (bet $455 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Tennessee +11 (-110) | Auburn -11 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 50.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Tennessee at Auburn: Three things to know

  1. Tennesee has lost four straight games, including blowout losses to Alabama (48-17), Georgia (44-21) and Kentucky (34-7).
  2. Tennessee has also really struggled on the road, losing 14 of its last 17 games away from home.
  3. Auburn’s offense has played very well over the last two games, scoring a total of 83 points. While the Tigers are averaging just 28 points per game this season, the offense does appear to be going in the right direction.

Tennessee at Auburn: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Auburn 35, Tennessee 21

Money line (ML)

Auburn (-455) is a huge money line favorite as Tennessee has struggled mightily in road games over the last two seasons; however, there just isn’t enough value to bet the Tigers.

PASS in favor of the spread.

Against the spread (ATS)

AUBURN -11 (-110) is a two-score favorite. The Volunteers have been bad against the spread, failing to cover in four of their last five games. Auburn is a modest 3-3 ATS and should have no problem winning this game by two touchdowns.

Take the Tigers to cover the 11-point spread in this SEC matchup.

Over/Under (O/U)

The total is set at 50.5 and that feels a tad low considering how well Auburn has played on offense lately. As previously mentioned, the Tigers have scored 83 total points in their last two games. Meanwhile, Tennessee is allowing nearly 32 points per game and that means we should have a ton of scoring from Auburn. Look for both sides to reach at least 20 points with Auburn approaching 35. Take the OVER 50.5 (-110).

Tennessee at Arkansas odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Tennessee Volunteers at Arkansas Razorbacks sports betting odds and lines, with college football betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Tennessee Volunteers (2-3 overall, 2-3 SEC) and Arkansas Razorbacks (2-3, 2-3) square off Saturday in an SEC cross-over battle between two teams looking to get to .500. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. ET at Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Ark. We analyze the Tennessee-Arkansas college football betting odds and lines, with picks and best bets.

Tennessee at Arkansas: Betting odds and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Thursday at 8:51 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: Tennessee -118 (bet $118 to win $100) | Arkansas +100 (bet $100 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Tennessee -1.5 (-110) | Arkansas +1.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 52.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Tennessee at Arkansas: Three things to know

  1. Tennessee has lost three straight games — straight up and against the spread — after starting the season 2-0. The Volunteers’ combined ATS margin over their trio of setbacks is a whopping minus-53.
  2. Arkansas DB Hudson Clark has three interceptions in 2020. The Razorbacks rank second in the nation with 10 interceptions, and they are tied for third in the country with 13 total takeaways.
  3. The Vols offense has gotten off schedule more frequently than it desires. Compounding that issue thus far has been a shaky performance on third downs. Tennessee owns a third-down conversion rate of just 26.1%. Among teams that have played more than two games, only three teams have posted a worse figure.

Tennessee at Arkansas: Odds, prediction, betting lines and picks

Prediction

Tennessee 28, Arkansas 24

Money line (ML)

Tennessee (-118) has the more solid recruited talent base, and there are some fade-worthy aspects to the Razorbacks’ support peripherals (a bit of turnover luck and perhaps more field-position tilt than has been earned, etc.). The Vols are a decent play against the number (see below), but a tag of -115 or better would make for a solid ML play as well. Consider a PARTIAL-UNIT PLAY ON TENNESSEE.

Against the spread (ATS)

Some of the analytics measuring what these teams do in the trenches are a substantial lean toward TENNESSEE (-1.5, -110) in this matchup. If the Vols can avoid being a minus-2 or worse in turnover margin, get a little more production in the big play department and avoid early-down misfires, they can cover with room to spare. There are plenty of ifs there, but on balance, the risk-reward has some value. BACK TENNESSEE TO COVER.

Over/Under (O/U)

The projected game flow here is a bit cloudy and several scenarios closely bracket the total as is. PASS.
