2026 defensive lineman prospect Tajh Overton announced his top 11 schools.

Overton’s top 11 schools are Tennessee, Nebraska, Auburn, Missouri, Miami, Ole Miss, Texas A&MOklahomaTexas, Arkansas and UCF.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pound four-star defensive lineman prospect is from Owasso High School in Owasso, Oklahoma.

He ranks No. 204 nationally in the 247Sports Composite for the class of 2026. Overton also ranks as the No. 25 defensive lineman and No. 1 prospect in Oklahoma.

The Vols offered him a scholarship on April 23.

Huskers make Top 11 for talented 4-star DL

Four-star defensive tackle Tajh Overton narrowed his list to 11 schools on Friday. Nebraska football made the cut for the class of 2026 prospect.

The Oklahoma Sooners, Texas A&M Aggies, Auburn Tigers, Missouri Tigers, Arkansas Razorbacks, Miami Hurricanes, Ole Miss Rebels, Tennessee Volunteers, UCF Black Knights, and Texas Longhorns also made the cut.

According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Overton is the 24th overall defensive lineman in the 2026 class and the top player in his class from the state of Oklahoma.

According to statistics from Maxpreps.com, he has played in one game this year for Owasso High School. During the contest, he recorded six tackles and two sacks.

The 2026 Nebraska football recruiting class is still being developed. According to the 247Sports Team Rankings, the class ranks 34th nationally.

Nebraska football has emphasized recruiting the defensive line position in the 2025 class, and it appears they are looking to continue building that position. Overton’s recruitment is far from decided. However, the Huskers being in his top 11 is certainly a positive sign.

Nebraska offers four-star defensive lineman Tajh Overton

The Cornhuskers offered one of Oklahoma’s top talents in the 2026 recruiting cycle on Wednesday.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers on Wednesday extended an offer to 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive lineman Tajh Overton, an almost consensus four-star prospect out of Owasso High School in Owasso, Oklahoma.

Three of four recruiting services rank Overton as a four-star prospect with On3 being the only one to not do so. Overton has a strong offersheet thus far with offers from Florida, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas State, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, TCU, and Texas.

The Cornhuskers currently do not hold any commitments in their 2026 recruiting class but do hold 10 commitments in their 2025 recruiting class including recently landing three-star athlete Pierce Mooberry. The Omaha, Nebraska native is expected to be a linebacker for the Huskers.

Tennessee offered a scholarship to 2026 defensive line prospect Tajh Overton.

“Blessed to receive an offer from the University of Tennessee,” Overton said.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pound four-star defensive lineman prospect is from Owasso High School in Owasso, Oklahoma.

Overton ranks as the No. 157 overall prospect in the class of 2026. He also ranks as the No. 16 defensive lineman and No. 2 player in Oklahoma, according to 247Sports.

The Vols are the fifth Southeastern Conference school to offer Overton. Arkansas was the first SEC school to offer a scholarship to the Overton on Jan. 20.

Overton has received scholarship offers from Tennessee, Auburn, Texas, Miami, TCU, Houston, SMU, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas State and Oklahoma State.

Michigan State football is the latest big-time program to extend an offer to an Oklahoma defensive lineman prospect in the 2026 class.

Tajh Overton of Owasso, Okla. announced earlier this week that he’s received a scholarship offer from the Spartans. He is an unranked defensive lineman in the 2026 class.

Michigan State is one of 10 programs to have extended an offer to Overton, according to 247Sports. The other programs to offer Overton includes SMU, TCU, Arkansas, Kansas State, Houston, Miami (FL), Texas, Oklahoma and Miami (FL).
