Cleveland, the nephew of former Arkansas head coach Mike Anderson, has never served on a staff that wasn’t headed by his uncle.
Breaking: Wichita State assistant coach Chris Hollender has resigned from his position due to personal reasons.

Most recently, Cleveland served on Anderson’s staff at St. John’s before Anderson was fired unceremoniously and the Red Storm subsequently hired Rick Pitino.
Cleveland served on Anderson’s staffs at UAB, Missouri, Arkansas and St. John’s.
He will be reporting to Shockers head coach Paul Mills. Originally, Chris Hollender, who most recently worked under Dennis Gates at Missouri, was the assistant hire, but he resigned because of personal reasons.
A four-year letter winner at guard for the Razorbacks, Cleveland was on teams that went to three NCAA tournaments and won the program’s only SEC Tournament title in 2000.
