The Phoenix Suns (39-28) take on the Milwaukee Bucks (43-24) Sunday with tip-off from Fiserv Forum set for noon ET (ABC). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Suns vs. Bucks odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Suns lead 1-0 after 114-106 home win Feb. 6.

The Suns narrowly covered as 10.5-point favorites in a 107-96 win at the Charlotte Hornets Friday. G Devin Booker led 6 scorers in double figures with 21 points and had 11 assists and 6 boards to boot. The Suns are 6-4 over their last 10 and are tied for 6th in the conference with the Sacramento Kings.

The Bucks are trying to stave off the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2nd spot in the East as they sit just a half-game up on them. Milwaukee polished off a 114-105 win over the Philadelphia 76ers Thursday as 7-point favorites. F Giannis Antetokounmpo had 32 points, 11 boards and 7 assists as the Bucks ended a string of 3 losses in 4 games.

Suns at Bucks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 116, Suns 110

Moneyline

The Suns won the 1st matchup in Phoenix by 8 points. G Damian Lillard missed that game due to injury, and Booker (32) and F Kevin Durant (28) combined for 60 points.

The Bucks have won 7 of the last 10 meetings – including all 5 in Milwaukee. They’re 26-7 on their home court this season, and unless Giannis gets ruled out, I like the BUCKS -130 or you can lay the points.

Against the spread

Each of the last 10 meetings were decided by more than 2 points. The Bucks are 7-3 ATS over their last 10 games while Phoenix is just 3-7 over its last 10.

Take the BUCKS -2 (-110), and I expect the spread to lengthen as the opening tip gets closer.

Over/Under

The Suns are just 2-8 O/U over their last 10, and the Bucks are 2-7-1. Head-to-head, the Over is 4-5-1 in the last 10 meetings between these teams. I think the only way this Over hits is if Milwaukee muscles up for 120+, and they have only done that 3 times in their last 10.

LEAN UNDER 226.5 (-110).

Suns at Bucks picks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 119, Suns 111

Moneyline

PASS.

The moneyline does not have as much value as a play on the spread in this matchup.

Against the spread

BET BUCKS -3.5 (-108).

The Bucks are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 19-11 ATS at home on the season. While playing as a 3-4.5-point favorite this season, they are 5-2 ATS this season while the Suns are just 2-4 ATS while playing as a 2-4.5-point underdog.

Phoenix’s offense ranks just 22nd in the NBA for points per game (112.9) while the Milwaukee defense ranks 5th in the league for opponent points per game (111.4). While Antetokounmpo will be sidelined in this game, so will Durant, which will help the Bucks to come out with a sizeable victory.

The Suns are also 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Milwaukee between these 2 teams and just 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings overall.

Phoenix Suns at Milwaukee Bucks odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Phoenix Suns at Milwaukee Bucks odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Phoenix Suns (51-12) meet the Milwaukee Bucks (39-25) Sunday in a rematch of last season’s NBA Finals. Tip-off at Fiserv Forum is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Below, we look at the Suns vs. Bucks odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Phoenix is on a two-game win streak entering Sunday with home wins versus the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday (120-90) and New York Knicks Friday (115-114). The Suns are 3-2 straight up (SU) and 2-3 against the spread (ATS) following the All-Star Game.

Milwaukee is on a three-game win streak (2-1ATS) with victories over the Charlotte Hornets (130-106 Monday), Miami Heat (120-119 Wednesday) and Chicago Bulls (118-112 Friday). The Bucks are 3-1 straight up (SU) and 2-2 ATS since the All-Star break.

The Suns smoked the Bucks 131-107 in Phoenix Feb. 10, easily covering as 3-point home favorites. However, the Suns will be without the injured G Chris Paul Sunday. Paul tied a season-high with 19 assists versus the Bucks last month.

Suns at Bucks odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 121, Suns 108

Money line

PASS because the Bucks (-380) are clearly the right side but they are also far too expensive for an NBA regular-season ML favorite.

Milwaukee would need an off-shooting game plus Phoenix would need someone random to step up for the Suns (+290) to cash.

However, the Bucks should ultimately put a beating on the Suns who are without their two best players.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

BET the BUCKS -7.5 (-112) for 1 unit for the obvious reasons. I’d play Milwaukee’s spread up to -8.5.

Not only are Booker and CP3 sidelined but Phoenix’s leading scorer from its thrilling 115-114 Friday victory against the Knicks is out. Johnson scored a career-high 38 points on 68.8% shooting (9-for-12 on 3-pointers).

The Suns would need Johnson (plus some) to have a chance of keeping pace with this lethal Bucks offense that has scored at least 118 points in each of their last five games.

The situation of a nationally televised matinee between last season’s conference winners almost ensures the BUCKS -7.5 (-112) will take care of business against the Suns.

Over/Under

PASS because Milwaukee likes to push the pace, hoist a ton of 3-pointers and spends a lot of time at the charity stripe.

However, it’s tough to predict what we see out of Phoenix’s offense or defense for that matter.

NBA Finals: Phoenix Suns at Milwaukee Bucks Game 6 odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Tuesday’s Phoenix Suns at Milwaukee Bucks NBA Finals Game 6 odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Phoenix Suns (2-3) visit Fiserv Forum Tuesday with their season on the brink to play the Milwaukee Bucks (3-2) in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:05 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Suns-Bucks odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Milwaukee took control of the NBA Finals by beating Phoenix 123-119 in Game 5 in what was the closest and most thrilling contest of the series and the first game won by the road team.

The spread has yet to be a factor in the Finals as the winning team covered in all five games and the Over is 3-1-1.

Suns at Bucks: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bucks 119, Suns 107

Money line (ML)

PASS with a slight “lean” to the Bucks (-200) since Milwaukee is the right side here and I’d listen to risking two-to-one on the Bucks to win outright.

Furthermore, the presumed “sharp” money is on Milwaukee’s money line whereas the “public” slightly favors Phoenix outright.

According to Pregame.com, nearly two-thirds of cash is on the Bucks (-200) while a slight majority of the bets placed are on the Suns (+170) and it’s generally wiser for sports bettors to follow the money rather than the crowd.

However, since the spread hasn’t mattered to this point in the series, I’d rather lay 5 points with Milwaukee at -110.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

GIMME the BUCKS -5 (-110) for 1 unit to cover the spread and win the NBA Finals.

The Suns shot 68.4% from behind the arc in Game 5, got 40 points from SG Devin Booker, 21 points and 11 assists from PG Chris Paul, 20 points and 10 rebounds from C Deandre Ayton, and were fortunate to lose by only 4 points.

If Phoenix played that well and Milwaukee hit only 9 of 17 free throws and the Suns still lost outright as 3.5-point favorites on their home floor then how can anyone be confident in the Suns +5 (-110)?

Ultimately, the difference in this series is Milwaukee’s thorough domination of the paint and Phoenix’s lack of size.

The Bucks are outscoring the Suns by 8 points per game in the paint (48.8-40.8 PPG), have nearly six more second-chance points per game than the Suns and Milwaukee’s offensive rebounding rate is 11.0% higher than Phoenix’s in this series.

Moreover, the Bucks are moving the ball better in this series with a 2.41 assist-to-turnover ratio compared to the Suns’ 1.68 figure.

Simply put, Milwaukee has more size and continuity and, because of which, gets a lot more easy buckets.

Over/Under (O/U)

Slight “LEAN” to the OVER 222.5 (-110) for a quarter unit, if at all, because both teams are pushing the pace and shooting well from deep.

What’s holding me back is both teams are defending the other pretty well but each offense keeps hitting very difficult shots. If there’s an off-shooting quarter in Game 6 then there’s a good chance Suns-Bucks goes Under.

NBA Finals: Milwaukee Bucks at Phoenix Suns Game 5 odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Milwaukee Bucks at Phoenix Suns NBA Finals Game 5 odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Phoenix Suns (2-2) host the Milwaukee Bucks (2-2) for Game 5 of the NBA Finals at their self-titled arena Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:05 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Bucks-Suns odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Milwaukee evened the Finals vs. Phoenix with a 109-103 Game 4 win and cover in a contest that cashed the Under 220.5 closing total.

Suns’ Devin Booker bounced back from a disappointing Game 3 to torch the Bucks for 42 points on 60.7% shooting, but Chris Paul had one of his worst showings of the postseason with 10 points on 38.5% shooting with five turnovers and a team-worst minus-10 in +/-.

For the Bucks, both Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo were brilliant in Game 4.

Middleton put up a 40-spot with six rebounds and four assists. Giannis had a 26-14-8 stat line with three steals and two blocks – one of which on Suns big Deandre Ayton in the final minute was an all-time NBA Finals defensive play.

Suns at Bucks: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bucks 114, Suns 106

Money line (ML)

“LEAN” to the BUCKS (+145) for a half unit only because Milwaukee plus the points is a sharper wager, but I want to “sprinkle” on the underdog’s money line to maximize the value of the Bucks.

Phoenix is actually shooting a lot better from the field than Milwaukee in the Finals. but the Bucks have negated that by completely dominating the paint.

For instance, Milwaukee’s offensive rebounding rate is more than 12% higher than Phoenix’s in this series. The Bucks are outscoring the Suns in the paint 49.5-38.0 points per game and are scoring nearly double the second-chance points per game in the Finals.

Moreover, Phoenix plays with far too much finesse and needs outside jumpers to go down, which isn’t as reliable or consistent as Milwaukee’s physical style of play.

Finally, CP3’s Game 4 stinker is getting a lot of publicity, and rightfully so, but Bucks PG Jrue Holiday was awful as well in that game. I’d argue both are due to bounce-back efforts but would cancel each other out.

However, the Bucks are also bringing a two-time MVP in Giannis and Middleton who’s a former All-Star and go shot for shot with Booker.

Again, the better play is Milwaukee plus points, but consider betting the BUCKS (+145) to take Game 5 and control of the series.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

Definitely BET the BUCKS +4 (-110) heavier than or instead of Milwaukee’s money line based on the previously stated logic.

Furthermore, the market is barreling into the Suns as more than 80% of the money bet is on both Phoenix’s money line and to cover the spread.

If those betting splits are the same at tip-off then the House is going to be pulling for the Bucks, and typically in sports betting we want to be with the House and against the public.

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS with a slight “lean” to the Over 218.5 (-110) because I like how each offense stacks up against their opponent, and both teams want to get out in transition.

However, I’m not confident enough in that analysis to wager any money on the total. These Finals games should be lower scoring the further we get into this series because these teams know what each other is going to run and are well prepared to defend it.

NBA Finals: Phoenix Suns at Milwaukee Bucks Game 3 odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Sunday’s Phoenix Suns at Milwaukee Bucks NBA Finals Game 3 odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Milwaukee Bucks (0-2) host the Phoenix Suns (2-0) Sunday in Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Fiserv Forum. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:05 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Suns-Bucks odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Phoenix held serve at home for the first two games of the series, scoring 118 points in each game and the Suns have a plus-12 in offensive rating thus far in the Finals.

Including the regular season, the Suns have covered all four meetings with the Bucks this season and the Over has cashed in all four contests.

Giannis scored a game-high 42 points on 15-for-22 shooting with 12 rebounds in Game 2. However, Phoenix’s backcourt has been fantastic this series as PG Chris Paul and SG Devin Booker are averaging a combined 56.5 points and 14.5 assists per game.

Suns at Bucks: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bucks 116, Suns 113

Money line (ML)

PASS because while I’m on Phoenix plus the points the Suns (+145) is just not a big enough payout to take a stab at the underdog’s money line.

Before the Finals started I picked Phoenix to hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy but while the Suns have won all four meetings with the Bucks this season I’m not ruling out Milwaukee’s chances at getting back into this series.

Everyone counted the Bucks out when they were down 0-2 heading back to Milwaukee in their Eastern Conference Semifinals series with the Brooklyn Nets but things happened and they ended up stealing that series.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

“LEAN” to the SUNS +4 (-110) for a half unit since Phoenix has an edge in three of the “four factors” in this series and it’s just too easy for the Suns to get what they want against Milwaukee’s defense.

Both All-Stars in Phoenix’s backcourt like to operate in the mid-range and Milwaukee had the 20th-ranked defensive field goal percentage on mid-range jumpers during the regular season, according to CleaningTheGlass.com.

Also, the Suns have the third-highest 3-point percentage on corner attempts and the Bucks have the worst defensive 3-point percentage vs. corner threes.

Wait until closer to tip-off before making a wager on Game 3 because the market is backing Milwaukee in this spot and has steamed the Bucks up from a 3.5-point favorite to the current number.

Typically a “contrarian” approach to sports gambling is more profitable than following the herd.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET the OVER 221.5 (-115) for 1 unit because Giannis should continue his sensational play against the Suns in Game 3 and I expect him to get more help from PG Jrue Holiday and SF Khris Middleton in this game.

Also, as I mentioned earlier, there are too many ways for Phoenix’s offense to get points on Milwaukee’s defense.

Lastly, there are plenty of situational trends suggesting a higher scoring affair including the Over cashing in six straight Suns-Bucks meetings, Phoenix’s 24-20 O/U record on the road and Milwaukee’s 25-19 O/U record at home.
