Highlighting the stars, studs and duds from the Packers’ 15-9 loss to the Lions in Week 9.

Sunday’s 15-9 defeat at the hands of the lowly Detroit Lions represents a new low point for the sinking Green Bay Packers, who have now lost five straight games and are 3-6 after nine games.

A rewatch of the contest showed a team lacking confidence and conviction. And more than anything, this is a Packers team incapable of finishing a drive or executing in a big spot.

Stars, studs and duds from Packers’ 14-12 win over Bucs in Week 3

All the stars, studs and duds from the Packers’ win over the Bucs in Week 3.

The Green Bay Packers looked on the verge of an impressive blowout of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road through two quarters on Sunday, but a nose dive by the offense following a turnover and a near-collapse late by the defense forced Matt LaFleur’s team into needing to stop a two-point conversion attempt with 14 seconds left to avoid overtime.

De’Vondre Campbell made the play, and the Packers escaped with a 14-12 victory over Tom Brady and the Bucs.

The stars, studs and duds from the Packers’ win over the Cleveland Browns on Christmas Day.

The Green Bay Packers started slow and nearly let the game get away late, but three touchdown passes from Aaron Rodgers and two interceptions from Rasul Douglas were enough for Matt LaFleur’s team to escape with a 24-22 win over the visiting Cleveland Browns on Saturday at Lambeau Field.

The Packers have won four straight games to get to 12-3 and are now 7-0 at home this season.

Studs and duds from Packers’ 17-0 win over Seahawks in Week 10

All the studs and duds from the Packers’ shutout win over the Seahawks on Sunday.

The Green Bay Packers made Russell Wilson’s return to the field a miserable experience on Sunday at a snowy Lambeau Field. Wilson got 10 possessions but failed to score in a 17-0 shutout win for the Packers, who improved to 8-2 and 4-0 at home this season.

The impressive defensive performance helped Aaron Rodgers and the Packers overcome some hiccups on offense. Even so, when the Seahawks were staggered late, 247-pound running back A.J. Dillon punched in two fourth-quarter touchdowns to complete the knockout.

Studs and duds from Texas’ loss to Oklahoma State

It was hard to find studs on this one.

If we are being honest, there is little to be positive about from the Texas perspective. The first quarter was a positive, as it was against Oklahoma, but after that, it was rough.

The ‘All Gas, No Brakes’ mantra is coming to an abrupt end. When it seems that Texas has control, they let up in the second half.

Steve Sarkisian needed this win in order to control Texas’ destiny in terms of the Big 12 title. Their fate is now out of their hands. Where do they go from here?

Sarkisian will have a tough decision to make in terms of the quarterback position going forward.

Studs and duds from Packers’ 26-7 loss to Texans in preseason opener

Highlighting the studs and duds from the Packers’ preseason opener against the Texans.

The Green Bay Packers opened the 2021 preseason with a 19-point loss to the Houston Texans on Saturday night at Lambeau Field.

Quarterback Jordan Love made his long-awaited NFL debut, but with 30 veterans standing safely on the sideline, the Packers were overmatched by an experienced Texans roster for much of the contest.

You won’t find Love in the studs or duds. He completed 12 of 17 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown. Much of his production came on one scoring drive in the second quarter when he completed six straight passes, including the touchdown on a 22-yard screen pass to Kylin Hill. It wasn’t a spectacular performance, but it was an encouraging one for the young quarterback.

4 studs and 2 duds in Seahawks 20-15 win at Washington

Here are the four studs and the two duds from the Seattle Seahawks 20-15 win over Washington Football Team in Week 15.

A week after a dominating victory over the Jets, the Seattle Seahawks returned to their old ways of grinding out wins in the most difficult way possible while giving every 12th Man cardiac arrest. The Seahawks improved to 10-4 and clinched a playoff berth by defeating the Washington Football Team 20-15.

The Seahawks built a commanding 20-3 lead entering the fourth quarter and had been dominating. Washington looked lost against the improved Seahawks defense, while Russell Wilson and the ground game just chewed up the clock to control the game.

However, the Football Team engineered back-to-back touchdown drives as Seattle’s offense completely stalled, giving the entire Pacific Northwest a scare the Seahawks might actually blow a 17-point lead for only the second time in franchise history.

In the end, the Seahawks escaped with an ugly win, but a win nonetheless.
