As children dressed up in their favorite Halloween costumes for a night of trick-or-treating, the Golden State Warriors point guard spooked the Pelicans in New Orleans.
In the third game of Golden State’s 2015 campaign, Curry notched a dazzling 53 points on 17-of-27 shooting from the field with nine assists and four rebounds in 35 minutes. The six-time All-Star splashed 8-of-14 attempts from beyond the arc. On the defensive end of the floor, Curry was a menace, recording a game-high four steals.
Along with his season-high, his 53 points were the first of three 50-point efforts from Curry for the 2015-16 season.
Anthony Davis led the Pelicans with a double-double effort on 26 points and 15 rebounds. Yet, it wasn’t enough to slow Curry as the Warriors moved to 3-0 on the young season with a 134-120 victory.
On top of bids to the All-NBA First Team and All-Star Game, Curry went on to win his second consecutive Most Valuable Player award in the 2015-16 regular season.
