Toledo Rockets vs. Ohio State Buckeyes: odds going up!

Toledo Rockets vs. Ohio State Buckeyes: @Tipico odds going up! #GoBucks

On September 17, the Ohio State Buckeyes (2-0) will kick off their third game of the season against the Toledo Rockets (2-0) at 7:00 p.m. ET in Columbus, Ohio. Ohio State has dominated the MAC going 35-1 against the conference’s current members. The only loss the Buckeyes have ever suffered against the MAC was to Akron in 1894, 12-6.

Our friends at Tipico, our official odds provider opened with Ohio State as a 31.5-point favorite, but it appears money is coming in on the Buckeyes as the spread has risen to -32.5 points. There is still no total on the game, but the spread growing larger is not surprising considering Ohio State is expected to have both Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Julian Fleming return to the line-up.

This is a contest that I took a lot longer of a peek at, considering Ohio State, after seeing the offense roll last week, but this is still a fairly large number for a Buckeye team who has not yet beaten the spread this season. This will be one that I stay away from.

Sanford needs his Buffs’ offense to break out after putting up a combined 23 points against TCU and Air Force.

We are currently killing the game with a nice record of 13-8 after finishing last night at 1-1. UCF let us down, but Boise State helped us bounce back to end the night. This Saturday slate of football is absolutely beautiful and features four games that I love. Last week betting on the favorites was a wise move and I am carrying that over today.

If you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We are diving into our favorite picks against the spread for this Saturday, but if you are looking for more information or to place a bet check out Tipico Sportsbook.

We are currently killing the game with a nice record of 12-7 after finishing last week at 10-5. We finished the week off strong with an easy bet on the Clemson Tigers. This Friday slate is a little odd, but perhaps our string of luck will continue into Week 2 of the 2022 college football season. We have two match-ups with one featuring a pretty large spread.

Florida vs. Kentucky: Tipico’s Friday betting odds for Week 2 matchup

Here are the betting odds for this Saturday’s matchup as we get ready to start the weekend.

Just one more day until the Florida Gators host the Kentucky Wildcats in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium for their 2022 Southeastern Conference openers. The Gators scored a clutch victory against the Utah Utes to earn themselves a spot among the top 25 schools in the nation after starting off buried in the polls.

The Orange and Blue is ranked No. 19 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll and No. 12 in the AP Poll coming into Saturday’s matchup while the boys from the Bluegrass State enter the Swamp ranked No. 20 in both polls after their Week 1 home win over Miami (Ohio), 37-13.

The two schools have split the last four meetings after Florida’s 31-game winning streak was snapped in 2018. Kentucky won the last meeting, 20-13, in Lexington, but they are traveling to Gainesville a bit short-handed due to injuries and suspensions.

No. 7 Oklahoma Sooners vs. Kent State Golden Flashes: Prediction, point spread, odds, best bet

The Oklahoma Sooners go into week two as heavy favorites yet again. This time it’s against the Kent State Golden Flashes. Can Oklahoma cover again?

The Oklahoma Sooners (1-0) play the Kent State Golden Flashes on Saturday, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds, and over/under numbers, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet at Tipico Sportsbook.

The game starts at 6 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN+ SoonerVision.

The Oklahoma Sooners opened the Brent Venables era covering the 30.5-point spread against UTEP set by Tipico Sportsbook. Though it took an interception in the end zone to seal the cover, the Sooners were in control of that contest throughout.

While a lull in the second quarter allowed UTEP to make some hay and get on the scoreboard, Oklahoma rebounded to finish the half strongly and carried that momentum over into the third quarter. After a week to watch the tape, it’s unlikely it will have a similar stretch of uninspiring play in week two against Kent State.

Kent State is coming off a 45-20 loss to the Washington Huskies in a game where their defense allowed Michael Penix, Jr. to throw for 345 yards and four touchdowns. After a serviceable Week 1, Dillon Gabriel has a big week two performance in the box score.

The lines, courtesy of Tipico Sportsbook

  • Point spread: Oklahoma -34.5
  • Money line: Oklahoma -10000/Kent State +1500
  • Over-under: 72.5

Advice and prediction

While 34.5 points may seem like a daunting spread to cover for Brent Venables and the Oklahoma Sooners, the Sooners will be even better this week after a week to get the offense and defense tightened up after a strong Week 1 performance. Kent State will have its moments in this game, but ultimately the Sooners’ uptempo offensive attack and aggressive defense will be too much for the Flashes, leading to another big win and cover for the Oklahoma Sooners.

Take Oklahoma minus the points but go with the under as Oklahoma’s defense limits the Golden Flashes to 13 points.

Check out our Sooners Wire staff predictions.

Prediction: Oklahoma 56, Kent State 13

Best prop bets for the LSU Tigers’ Week 2 matchup

The top prop bets for LSU in week 2 as they host Southern.

The Brian Kelly era didn’t get off to the start that the LSU Tigers faithful were hoping for. A blocked point after attempt left the team dejected but they can quickly get the taste out of their mouths this week.

Quarterback Jayden Daniels started slow and came on strong towards the end of the game. This week the former ASU signal caller looks to start fast against an FCS opponent. The visitors travel 22 minutes south on I-110 for the 6:30  pm CT kickoff.

Check out the best prop bets as you prepare to watch the Tigers battle down on the Bayou.

Best prop bets for the Georgia Bulldogs’ Week 2 matchup

The top prop bets for UGA in week 2 as they host Samford.

The Georgia Bulldogs are coming off a monster win over the Oregon Ducks and now set their sights on the Samford Bulldogs. This marks the home opener for the defending national championships.

Quarterback Stetson Bennett proved he could carry the load offensively against the former UGA defensive coordinator. This week the Dawgs continue their nonconference schedule as they host Samford. The visitors travel 3.5 hours east to Athens for the 4 pm ET kickoff.

There are no betting lines available for this matchup per Tipico Sportsbook, but this should be another one-sided affair at Sanford Stadium.

Check out the best prop bets as you prepare to watch the Dawgs prepare for a battle between the hedges.

Betting lines, score predictions for Week 2 of SEC football

Betting lines and score predictions for this week’s slate of SEC games

After an exciting Week 1 of SEC football, we shift our focus to a Week 2 that features plenty of big-time matchups.

The headliner of the weekend is Alabama’s road game at Texas, but beyond that there’s good ones featuring Tennessee vs. Pitt and Kentucky vs. Florida.

The Georgia Bulldogs are one of three SEC teams playing against an FCS opponent, meaning most sportsbooks do not provide a betting line on those games.

But if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research on this week’s slate of SEC vs. FBS football games, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds and over/under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet at Tipico Sportsbook.

Florida vs. Kentucky: Tipico’s Thursday betting odds for Week 2 matchup

Here are the betting odds for this Saturday’s matchup as we near the beginning of the weekend.

Game day is nearing as Florida football gets set to host the Kentucky Wildcats at home in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday to kick off the 2022 Southeastern Conference schedule. The Gators are coming off a big season-opening win against the Utah Utes that hurled the team into the top 25 after being buried in the preseason polls.

The Orange and Blue enter the game ranked No. 19 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll and No. 12 in the AP Poll. The Bluegrass State boys come into the matchup ranked No. 20 in both respective polls after their Week 1 home win over Miami (Ohio), 37-13.

The two schools have split the last four meetings after Florida’s 31-game winning streak was snapped in 2018. Kentucky won the last meeting, 20-13, in Lexington but this year they travel to Gainesville a bit shorthanded due to injuries and suspensions. Plus, the Gators certainly have some momentum behind them after a strong start to the Billy Napier era.
