The No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide (4-1, 1-1 SEC) welcome the South Carolina Gamecocks (3-2, 1-2) to Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is set for noon ET (ABC). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the South Carolina vs. Alabama odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Alabama won each of its 1st 3 games by at least 30 points, covering in 2 of them. They then took down the No. 4 Georgia Bulldogs at home 41-34 in Week 5. The Crimson Tide are coming off arguably the worst loss in program history, losing 40-35 on the road to the Vanderbilt Commodores last Saturday as a 23-point favorite. The Crimson Tide are 3-2 against the spread (ATS) and are 1-1 ATS in SEC play.

South Carolina isn’t expected to compete much in this game as it is coming off a 27-3 home loss to the No. 8 Ole Miss Rebels. The Gamecocks do have an impressive 31-6 road win over the Kentucky Wildcats, a team that has beaten Ole Miss this season. The Gamecocks 3-2 ATS and 1-0 ATS on the road. They are led by RB Raheim Sanders, who has rushed for a team-high 315 yards.

South Carolina at Alabama picks and predictions

Prediction

Alabama 41, South Carolina 14

Moneyline

PASS.

There’s no reason to take the moneyline here. The Crimson Tide are going to rebound at home, but they aren’t worth a play as a hefty favorite.

Against the spread

BET ALABAMA -21.5 (-105).

The Crimson Tide have dominated weaker opponents this season outside of their road blip in Week 6. They beat Wisconsin on the road by 32, USF by 26 and Western Kentucky by 63. Alabama even beat Georgia as an underdog. It tabbed Washington coach Kalen DoBoer to take over from Nick Saban, and he has the offense running at a high level. QB Jalen Milroe has a total of 20 TDs.

With South Carolina coming off a game in which it scored just 3 points, it’ll be difficult for it to keep pace with a dynamic Alabama attack. The Gamecocks are 0-1 ATS as a double-digit underdog this season. They have 5 passing TDs and 3 INTs, so this team hasn’t been able to air it out efficiently.

With those trends in mind, expect the Crimson Tide to bounce back in a big way and back ALABAMA -21.5 (-105).

Over/Under

BET OVER 50.5 (-110).

The South Carolina offensive had been running smoothly until its Week 6 showdown with Ole Miss. In its 3 games prior, it topped 30 points in each. It could be able to get into the end zone a few times. South Carolina is 2-1 O/U in its last 3 games.

Alabama’s offense has not slowed down this season, but its defense has. The Crimson Tide have scored 35 or more points in all 5 games and 41-plus  points in 4 of them. They have allowed a total of 74 points in their last 2 games after giving up just 26 through the 1st 3 weeks. Alabama has gone Over in 3 straight games and is 4-1 O/U this season.

Back OVER 50.5 (-110).
