Von Miller shared perfect message to Broncos fans after beating Chiefs

Von Miller shared a perfect message to Broncos fans after the Bills beat the Chiefs on Sunday.

The Denver Broncos suffered a heartbreaking 16-14 road loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last week after the Chiefs blocked a last-second field goal attempt that could have been a game-winner for the Broncos.

One week later, Denver rebounded in a big way with a big 38-6 victory over the Atlanta Falcons at home. The Broncos might have also got some satisfaction when they looked up scores after the game and saw that the Chiefs fell to the Buffalo Bills 30-21, marking KC’s first loss of the season.

Former Denver pass rusher Von Miller played a role in Buffalo’s win with two tackles (one behind the line), one quarterback hit and one sack for a nine-yard loss.

With that sack, Miller passed Derrick Thomas to rank 17th on the NFL’s all-time sack list with 127.5 career sacks. Miller, of course, wore No. 58 with the Broncos because Thomas was the player he grew up idolizing.

After beating the Chiefs, Miller took to social media with a perfect message to fans in Denver.

“Broncos Country … I gotchu!!!! 😉🐴” Miller wrote on his Instagram story.

He’s no longer a Bronco, but Miller’s still a thorn in the side of Kansas City’s offense, and he’s still beloved in Denver.

Everyone raving about Commanders CB Mike Sainristil after performance vs. Eagles

Commanders CB Mike Sainristil was phenomenal against the Eagles. Here’s a collection of what some around the NFL said about Sainristil.

Lost in the talk surrounding Philadelphia Eagles rookie cornerback Quinyon Mitchell’s performance on Thursday night was another rookie cornerback. Washington Commanders rookie cornerback Mike Sainristil was equally as impressive as Mitchell, often with his less help.

While Mitchell often matched up with Commanders star Terry McLaurin, holding him without a catch (McLaurin had one reception for the game), the Eagles frequently gave him some help over the top.

Meanwhile, Washington’s struggling secondary needed someone to step up. Enter Sainristil. The second-round pick was expected to primarily play slot cornerback, but he’s been forced to play more outside out of necessity, and he’s thriving.

During Thursday’s loss to the Eagles, Sainristil matched up with A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Jahan Dotson. He allowed two receptions on the night for a total of 31 yards. PFF gave him a grade of 89.0 — Washington’s highest of the night.

Commanders’ fans know they have a gem in Sainristil. Now, others are taking notice, too.

Check out some of these reactions to Sainristil’s play from X.

When Marshon Lattimore makes his debut, the Commanders’ cornerback position will quickly go from a weakness to a strength with him and Sainristil on the outside.

Fans react to Mike Tomlin’s hilarious comments on Diontae Johnson

Steelers fans mock Diontae Johnson after Mike Tomlin’s comments, as bad blood brews before Week 11’s clash with the Ravens.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson just can’t catch a break! From frustrations in Pittsburgh to unhappiness in Carolina, and now disappointment in Baltimore, Johnson’s negativity seems to follow him wherever he goes.

His recent social media meltdown apparently stemmed from being used sparingly for two consecutive weeks by the Ravens.

As previously reported, Mike Tomlin took a subtle jab at the former Steelers receiver, smirking as he told reporters he’s more concerned with important players who actually get playing time.

Tomlin ultimately had to deal with quite a bit of immaturity from Johnson during the receiver’s time in Pittsburgh, including his struggle to make routine catches on the field, lack of effort on run plays, and his inconsistent attitude both on and off the field.

There’s no secret that some bad blood might be brewing as the team heads into the Week 11 contest against the Baltimore Ravens. Fans of the Steel City took this opportunity to let their boos rain down early on Johnson, with the prelude starting on social media. Here are some of the best reactions to Tomlin’s comments on Johnson.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid responds to free agent veteran offensive lineman’s social media post

Kansas City #Chiefs head coach Andy Reid responds to free agent veteran offensive lineman Donovan Smith’s social media post | @EdEastonJr

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid addressed the media on Monday during his weekly Zoom press conference. He gave his thoughts on free agent and former Chiefs left tackle Donovan Smith’s social media post, indicating that he’s available if the team needs a veteran offensive tackle.

“Listen, that’s in (Brett) Veach’s area. I mean, he looks at everything. So I’m not going to say no, but what we do as coaches, and we overemphasize, is we’re going to focus on these kids that are here,” said Reid. “They’re getting better. I know it’s hard to see at times, but there’s progress being made, and we’re going to be okay as we go forward.”

Reid continues to support his current young tandem of left tackles who struggled in last Sunday’s victory over the Denver Broncos. Wanya Morris and rookie Kingsley Suamataia have started games and rotated on the offensive line.

Smith was the starting left tackle on last year’s Chiefs Super Bowl-winning team, along with his previous title with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020. The 31-year-old wasn’t re-signed in the offseason and is still interested in returning to Kansas City if necessary.

Mike Williams takes shots at Aaron Rodgers following game-deciding TD

Mike Williams took a shot at Aaron Rodgers on social media after his Week 10 game-winning TD, referencing their past tension

It’s safe to say that QB Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets won’t be getting the last laugh anytime soon, as former Jet and current Steelers WR Mike Williams is quickly becoming a fan favorite in the Steel City. Williams seemingly still has a chip on his shoulder following his exit from New York and took a shot at his former QB.

After his team’s victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 10, Williams quickly took to social media to showcase an image of his incredible game-deciding TD reception late in the fourth quarter, with a caption containing an interesting jab at Rodgers:  “RedLine”.

This is, of course, referencing Rodgers’ infamous public call-out of Williams for running the wrong route, the ‘red line,’ following the Jets’ loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 6.

Rodgers and Williams seemingly have unresolved drama from their time as teammates in New York. However, it’s reassuring that with his performance in Week 10—scoring as many points as the entire New York Jets’ offense did on Sunday—Williams can put this chapter to bed.

Former Saints wide receiver reacts to Dennis Allen’s firing

Michael Thomas gave Derek Carr multiple tweets on Sunday, but he needed just three words to react to Dennis Allen’s firing:

Michael Thomas kept his reaction to Dennis Allen being fired simple, “There it goes.” In just three words, Thomas had the reaction many New Orleans Saints fans had when they heard the news.

After the Saints lost to the Carolina Panthers, changes felt imminent and mandatory. It would be one thing if you dropped a game to the Panthers randomly, but the Saints lost to the worst team in the NFL after losing the previous six games.

Originally, the Saints likely wanted to let Allen finish the season or make it to the bye week at least. After the disappointing performance and various post game reactions, the luxury of waiting was gone. So, Allen being let go Monday morning was expected, and “there it goes” was likely uttered by a large amount of fans.

It was a surprise for Thomas to keep his message short and sweet. The former Saints star receiver is good for letting off multiple tweets to get his point accross. He did it on Sunday when airing out Derek Carr. Thomas kept it simple this time. There wasn’t a need to add insult to injury. Thomas just knew it was time for a change.

Players’ social media posts reflect a broken culture in New Orleans

Khalen Saunders’ words on social media shows how frustrated the team is, and how Dennis Allen has lost the New Orleans Saints locker room:

Khalen Saunders tweets after the New Orleans Saints loss to the Carolina Panthers resembles a broken culture in New Orleans. Tensions were high heading into this game. There were talks of a players only meeting and also captains meeting with Dennis Allen.

It feels those attempts at elevating team morale were futile or at least reversed after losing to Carolina. After the game, Saunders went on social media to suggest he should play quarterback. It was a joke about fans wanting the number one overall pick, but Saunders said it would give the fans something fun to watch.

Derek Carr is your current quarterback, and Saunders’ words could be taken as Carr isn’t good enough or enjoyable to watch. While they may not have been Saunders’ message, that post came from a place of hurt. It’s hard to not see posts of frustrations through a certain lens.

Saunders later went on to call Saints versus Panthers the “Cottonelle DooDoo Bowl.” The Saints were supposed bounce back against Carolina. This was a team you blew out earlier in the season. Instead, you lost to the team with the worst record in the NFL.

Dennis Allen has lost this locker room. Tweets like these wouldn’t even happen if there wasn’t a fracture. Players are frustrated, and it’s beginning to spill into the public.

Cameron Jordan apologizes to Saints fans after loss to Panthers

Cameron Jordan issued an apology to the New Orleans Saints fan base following their loss to the Carolina Panthers:

The New Orleans Saints reached a special level of bas in Sunday’s 23-22 road loss to the Carolina Panthers. The team was considered to be one of the worst — if not the worst in the NFL — when the Saints headed over to Charlotte.

Now, it looks more than anything like that’s a title the Saints may hold themselves, running pretty closely in contention with the Tennessee Titans, New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys.

Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan took to social media after the game with a message for the Saints fan base, which everyone has recognized deserves a far better product at this point.

“We just lost to the Panthers,” Jordan wrote. “I love y’all New Orleans truly had higher expectations and the best of hopes for us, y’all deserve it.”

Jordan finished out the game with one solo tackle to his name.

The Saints are now on a dismal seven-game losing streak with a lot that needs to happen in order for them to at least get another win in what is already a lost season.

That opportunity won’t come easy against their next opponent on the schedule either, as the Atlanta Falcons will look to sweep New Orleans in the series in Caesars Superdome on Sunday, Nov. 10.

Broncos Twitter slams NFL’s official account for not knowing ‘Barrel Man’ lore

“It’s kind of sad that the official NFL account admin doesn’t know who Barrel Man is, or what his significance is to the Broncos.”

During the Denver Broncos‘ 28-14 win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, CBS cameras captured a baby Broncos fan dressed up as the “Barrel Man.”

The late Tim McKernan was a Broncos super fan who attended games wearing nothing but a barrel — rain or shine. A member of the Visa Hall of Fans at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the “Barrel Man” passed away in 2009.

Fifteen years later, whoever was running the NFL’s official Twitter/X page on Sunday apparently was not familiar with McKernan’s legacy in Broncos Country.

“What is happening here?? 😂🤠 @Broncos,” the NFL’s official page posted on Twitter/X during the game.

Broncos fans quickly chimed in.

“There was a Broncos super fan called Barrel Man who passed away, this is a Barrel baby,” @MileHighGreco responded to the tweet. “Happy to educate you.”

Dylan Pierce added: “It’s kind of sad that the official @NFL account admin doesn’t know who Barrel Man is, or what his significance is to the @Broncos.”

That sentiment was echoed by multiple fans.

“This is an embarrassing post from the intern running this account,” Mario Vetanze commented. “Barrel Man is a legend in Denver Broncos lore. To every single Broncos fan, it’s incredibly obvious ‘what is happening here.’ And I know I shouldn’t get upset about stuff like this but come on.”

“Feels like the official NFL account should know enough league history to know who Barrel Man was,” Shelby Manning wrote. “Big yikes.”

Yikes, indeed. A big whiff by the league’s official Twitter/X page.

Alvin Kamara puts pen to paper on his new Saints contract extension

Alvin Kamara put pen to paper on his new Saints contract extension, emphasizing how it feels to have his loyalty reciprocated:

It’s been a big week for Alvin Kamara. The New Orleans Saints running back signed a two-year contract extension tying him to the team through 2026, giving him the opportunity to finish his career with the team that drafted  him. And for Kamara, it was great to see the loyalty he’s expressed be reciprocated.

“This city has been loyal to me. This organization has been loyal to me. I don’t feel like I would get this same feeling I get putting on the fleur-de-lis anywhere else,” Kamara told reporters this week.

Kamara did everything he could to emphasize his loyalty to the team by working hard every day at training camp (and not holding out), being a good leader and positive locker room influence, and even playing through injury.  And his efforts were recognized. Saints head coach Dennis Allen praised Kamara’s approach throughout the process.

“I think he handled it the right way,” Allen said. “He has been very productive for us and this year, he has been outstanding for us. He’s come in every day and gone to work, done the things we’ve asked him to do, so when you do those things you get rewarded.”

Now the five-time Pro Bowler gets to finish his career in black and gold. Kamara turned 29 in July and he has the rest of 2024, all of 2025 and a penultimate 2026 season to continue building his legacy. Will he keep going after that? We’ll see. But for now, this is a win for him. No wonder he was all smiles when signing his contract.
