Eddie Murphy confirmed that Shrek 5 and a Donkey spinoff movie are on the way

It’s time to head back to the swamp and peel some onions.

We might be headed back to the swamp to see Shrek, Donkey and Fiona sooner than expected.

Eddie Murphy shared with Collider this week that he’s already begun voice work on a fifth Shrek movie and that the new sequel might come out next year.

Murphy, who voices Donkey in the franchise, also confirmed that a Donkey-centric spinoff is in the works at DreamWorks Animation for some time down the road.

“We started doing Shrek 4 or [Shrek] 5 months ago,” Murphy told Collider. “I did this, I recorded the first act, and we’ll be doing it this year, we’ll finish it up. Shrek is coming out, and Donkey’s gonna have his own movie. We’re gonna do Donkey as well. So we’re gonna do a Shrek, and we’re doing a Donkey [movie].”

Murphy added that he thought the new Shrek film was coming out in 2025, although there is no release date yet set for the fifth installment.

The fifth Shrek film was announced last year, but this is our first official confirmation that work has started on the project and that there may already be a release date.

No director or screenwriters have been announced, and original voice actors Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas have yet to be announced as returning to the cast. However, Murphy’s involvement hints to theirs.

The Shrek franchise hasn’t released a formal sequel since 2010’s Shrek Forever After, but two Puss in Boots spinoffs have been released since then.

Shrek Crocs are now a thing, as the comfort shoe brand goes ogre-green

Do you want Shrek Crocs? If so, Shrek Crocs are now a thing.

If you’re a fan of Crocs and a fan of Shrek, then the perfect shoe has been created specifically just for you.

In a combination that feels so out there but also kind of right at the same time, Crocs is now selling the “Shrek Clog.”

Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like, a Shrek-green Croc with a Shrek nose, Shrek ears and a furry back strap that is supposed to represent Shrek’s brown vest.

We’re not trying to be hyperbolic here: these are the most Shrek shoes of all time. Like, there is no competition. These are the most Shrek shoes ever.

If you’re eager to hop in a pair of “Shrek Clogs” and saunter around town like the layered ogre you are, you don’t have to go to Far, Far Away to get a pair.

You can get yourself some “Shrek Clogs” by heading over to Croc’s website.

No word if the Crocs come with a swamp home or a talking donkey best friend who never shuts up about waffles.

‘Shrek’ fans are shocked to find out new, horrifying fact with the 3 bears

OMG!!!

It doesn’t matter that Shrek is 20 years old at this point. What you are about to watch will floor you, which was my reaction.

Someone on TikTok noticed a detail that probably escaped 99 percent of the DreamWorks movie’s viewers: he saw the three bears (as in Goldilocks) captured by Lord Farquaad, but only Papa and Baby Bear came back.

So … what happened to Mama Bear?

You’re not going to like the answer. Much later on in the movie, you see inside Lord Farquaad’s room and … well, I really don’t want to spoil it for you, just go down here and watch for yourself and we can discuss after.

I KNOW, RIGHT?! It’s horrifying!

Snopes confirmed this was true and quoted an interview with director Andrew Adamson, who said this:

“The anything-goes attitude accounts for such hard-to-catch jokes as the rug that covers Lord Farquaad’s bedroom floor. Asks Adamson: Did you notice it was bearskin? And wearing a pink bow? It’s Mama Bear.” In later scenes, Papa Bear is shown consoling Baby Bear.”

AAAAAAAAA!!! I will never watch this movie the same ever again.

Watch: Larry King Attends Notre Dame Game With Regis Philbin

The broadcasting world was shaken Saturday with the news that Larry King died at the age of 87.

The broadcasting world was shaken Saturday with the news that Larry King died at the age of 87. Anybody who was somebody appeared on his CNN talk show. One of those somebodies was Notre Dame alumnus Regis Philbin, who passed away in July. When the Irish battled Stanford at Notre Dame Stadium in 2002, Philbin invited King to the game, and the two appeared on WNDU-TV’s pregame show:

The Cardinal were a bad team in 2002, so it should be no surprise that the Irish crushed them that afternoon, 31-7, in the first of a rivalry-long seven consecutive wins in the battle for the Legends Trophy. Notre Dame’s two-headed rushing monster of Ryan Grant and Rashon Powers-Neal combined for 211 yards and two touchdowns on 31 carries. On defense, Courtney Watson and Shane Walton returned interceptions for touchdowns from 34 and 18 yards out, respectively. To say the least, King was in South Bend on a good day.

Shrek fans know that King and Philbin worked together on those films. They were the respective voices of Doris and Mabel, the ugly stepsisters. But whatever they did together, they were broadcasting legends who happened to be legends. Let’s be happy that they didn’t have to be separated from each other for very long.
