Just a few days ago, Michigan State Football offered 2021 athlete Shakari Denson out of Claxton, Georgia. Today, they sealed the deal and landed his commitment.

Denson is currently unranked, but that is to be expected considering he is from a very small school in a small town. After he was offered, I checked out his film on Hudl and it was quite impressive, so Mel Tucker may have found a diamond in the rough here. With recruiting juggernauts like Ohio State and Penn State dominating a lot of the Big Ten recruiting territory, Tucker and his staff will need to find these types of underrecruited players.

Michigan State was the first Power 5 school to offer Denson and that looks to have landed them a great athlete who can play multiple positions.

During the Mark Dantonio era at Michigan State, the Spartans had great success turning under-recruited cornerbacks into Big Ten standouts. Mel Tucker will look to find that same success it appears. On Wednesday, MSU Football offered unranked 2021 cornerback Shakari Denson.

This was Claxton, Georgia athlete Shakari Denson’s first Power 5 offer. His other offers include Kent State, Georgia State, Savannah State, Charlotte, and Kennesaw State.

As mentioned, Denson is currently unranked by 247Sports for 2021. I did watch some of his film on Hudl and it did look impressive from what I saw. You can watch it here.
