Here are the TV announcers for Alabama’s game against the Mercer Bears Saturday.

Fresh off their 42-13 win over the LSU Tigers in Week 11, Jalen Milroe and the Alabama Crimson Tide are hosting the Mercer Bears in Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday. Kickoff for Alabama vs. Mercer is set for 1 p.m. CT. The game can be seen on SEC Network+.

On Monday, ESPN announced its Week 12 college football commentator assignments. It’s the trio’s first time working an Alabama game.

Alabama (7-2) rose two spots to No. 9 in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll following its win at LSU. Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide were ranked No. 11 in the initial CFP rankings last week. The updated rankings will be unveiled Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.

Mercer is atop the Southern Conference and is 9-1 overall and ranked No. 9 in this week’s AFCA NCAA FCS Football Rankings. The Bears defeated VMI, 34-0, last Saturday.

Who are the TV announcers for Texas vs. Vanderbilt?

After two weeks of the ESPN A-Time, Texas moves to the SEC Network for the Vanderbilt game. Who will be on the call?

After two weeks of being the biggest game on ABC, the Longhorns move to another Disney property Saturday when they face Vanderbilt. The game in Nashville will be on the SEC Network this weekend. The game starts at 3:15 p.m. CT.

Texas will be hoping to bounce back after a bad performance against Georgia. The Bulldogs handed Texas its first loss of the season. Texas coach Steve Sarkisian hopes the team responds to adversity, “I think we got a football team that’s got something to prove, but again, we’ll find out Saturday if we walk into the game with a chip on our shoulder or not. We’ll find out where we’re at.”

ESPN’s A-team of Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit have been on the call for the last two Texas games. But that will change Saturday on the SEC Network. Tom Hart will hand play-by-play for the game, while Cole Cubelic will be the the analyst and Alyssa Lang reporting from the sidelines.

Hart has been with ESPN 12 years, before that he did work for Comcast, CBS Sports, Fox Sports and the Atlanta Braves. Cubelic played for the Auburn Tigers from 1996 to 2001. He joined ESPN in 2011. Lang joined the SEC Network in 2018 as a studio show anchor and host.

Florida-UCF game time, broadcast details revealed

Florida and UCF will finally meet in the Swamp after years of trash-talking, but fans will have to be subscribed to the SEC Network to watch the regional showdown.

Florida’s Oct. 5 matchup with the UCF Knights will air on the SEC Network with a scheduled kickoff time of 7:45 p.m., according to the SEC office.

The Gators are on a bye this week following a 45-28 win over Mississippi State to move to 2-2 on the season, while UCF plays host to Colorado in search of a 4-0 start.

Florida leads the all-time series against UCF, 2-1, but the Knights won the most recent matchup in 2021. The Gators were in a state flux during that Gasparilla Bowl loss, playing under interim head coach Greg Knox following the firing of Dan Mullen.

However, it’s hard to say that Florida is in a more stable place this time, despite being in Year 3 of the Billy Napier era. Napier’s on the hottest seat in the country, and a good portion of the fan base wants him gone. A loss to UCF — a program long maligned as the little brother of Florida’s Big 3 — might be the final nail in the coffin.

There’s no doubt the Knights have elevated their status in the college football world over the past few years. An undefeated season in 2017 led to a national title claim — the Colley Matrix agrees — and UCF has moved into a Power Four conference with a legitimate shot at winning the Big 12 championship this year.

Florida desperately needs to slow down this changing of the guard before perceptions change for good. Being pushed to the SEC Network after sundown isn’t a sign that the conference believes Florida will, though.

In other years, a surging UCF team coming to Gainesville would receive a lot more hype. Because of the Gators’ recent struggles, this game has been relegated to a regional interest matchup. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

How to watch and stream Arch Manning’s first college start

Arch Manning will make the first start of his college football career tonight. Here’s how to watch and stream the Texas-ULM game.

Filling in for an injured Quinn Ewers, redshirt freshman quarterback Arch Manning is set to make the first start of his college career for the Texas Longhorns on Saturday night.

Manning and the Longhorns will host the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas at 6:00 p.m. MT (8:00 p.m. ET) on Saturday, Sept. 21. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network Plus, which is available to stream on ESPN+.

SECN+ is also available on DirecTV and Sling, and you can use a TV provider to log into the ESPN app to stream SECN+ within the ESPN app. Football fans with a fuboTV package that includes the SEC Network can link their fuboTV account to their ESPN app to stream the game (try fuboTV for free).

After replacing an injured Ewers in the second quarter against the UTSA Roadrunners last week, Manning scored five touchdowns — four passing and one rushing — in a 56-7 win.

Arch is the son of Cooper Manning, who is the older brother of former NFL quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Eli Manning. Cooper’s own football career was cut short by spinal stenosis after high school.

Texas will look to improve to 4-0 on Saturday night.

SEC Nation coming to Baton Rouge for LSU’s Week 4 matchup against UCLA

SEC Nation is returning to Baton Rouge for the first time since 2022 as the Tigers play host to the Bruins on Saturday.

After a thrilling, come-from-behind road win against South Carolina in which the Tigers trailed 17-0 in the first half, coach Brian Kelly’s team returns home for a non-conference Power Four matchup in Week 4.

LSU plays host to new Big Ten member UCLA, and that game will have “SEC Nation,” the SEC Network’s Saturday morning pregame show, on-site. This will be SEC Nation’s first trip to Baton Rouge since the Tigers hosted Ole Miss in 2022.

We didn’t know what to make of the matchup against the Bruins coming into the year, but now, it doesn’t look particularly scary. After struggling against Hawaii in Week 1 and being idle in Week 2, UCLA was demolished by Indiana in Pasadena in its Big Ten opener on Saturday night.

UCLA is led by a first-year coach in DeShaun Foster, and the Tigers will look to extend their winning streak to three as they get a bit of a break before one of their toughest games of the season.

After hosting the Bruins, LSU will play South Alabama in Week 5 and have a bye in Week 6 before playing host to a potentially top-five Ole Miss team in Week 7.

SEC analyst continues his praise of Texas A&M QB Conner Weigman

Expectations for Conner Weigman continue to rise as the 2024 season is less than three weeks away

Texas A&M redshirt sophomore quarterback Conner Weigman has much to prove ahead of the 2024 season after missing the final eight games of the 2023 campaign due to an ankle injury that prematurely ended his first starting season.

With head coach Mike Elko now heading things in College Station, Weigman’s familiarity with the program’s former defensive coordinator is an obvious plus. At the same time, new OC Collin Klein brings a motion-heavy scheme that should set the offense up for success after years of predictability under former head coach Jimbo Fisher.

In just four games last season, Weigman threw for nearly 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns while quickly showing how good he can be, possessing elite accuracy and touch. His toughness and instincts will continue to set him apart from a long list of starting signal callers if his receivers and, most importantly, his offensive line help him out.

This week, SEC analyst Jordan Rodgers continued his offseason praise for the Aggies QB after it was revealed that Texas A&M will start the season ranked No. 20 in the latest preseason. Rodgers feels the Aggies are being undervalued, especially with Weigman under center:

“I think Conner Weigman is one of the best quarterbacks in the entire country. I think he is completely overlooked,” Rodgers stated. “If you flip on the Miami tape from last year, you will not find a game, a single game from any quarterback with as many big-time throws as Conner made in that game.”

Further noting that last season’s offensive counterparts didn’t help Weigman on several occasions, Rogers feels that Klein’s offense should hopefully fix those issues:

‘You add Collin Klein, who’s coming to build this offense around him (Weigman). I’ve been the one pounding the table of this Jimbo offense for years, saying do something to help your quarterback,” Rogers stated. “Move somebody pre-snap, go in a different formation; it didn’t happen. Last year, I started to see a little bit of it, and you saw the potential that Weigman has.”

Texas A&M will open the 2024 season vs. Notre Dame on Saturday, August 31. The game will air on ABC at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Check out SEC Network’s new anthem ahead of 2024 football season

This year’s SEC anthem features a Luke Combs cover of Tom Petty’s “Runnin’ Down a Dream.”

The 2024 season will be a big one in the SEC. Not only is the league expanding to 16 teams with the highly anticipated additions of Texas and Oklahoma, but it also has the chance to get several teams in the College Football Playoff, which also expands to 12 teams this fall.

LSU leads the way in Cole Cubelic’s SEC offensive line rankings

LSU’s offensive line could be the team’s biggest strength this fall.

Former Auburn offensive lineman and current [autotag]SEC Network[/autotag] analyst [autotag]Cole Cubelic[/autotag] recently ranked the top offensive lines in the SEC.

The LSU Tigers are No. 1 on his board followed by Georgia, Texas, Tennessee and Missouri. When you look at LSU’s offensive line, there are two huge reasons why the Tigers are sitting at No. 1 on Cubelic’s list. Those reasons? [autotag]Will Campbell[/autotag] and [autotag]Emery Jones Jr.[/autotag].

Campbell and Jones are two of the top five offensive tackle prospects for the 2025 NFL draft with Campbell being the No. 1 offensive tackle and one of the top five overall draft prospects.

Combine those two guys with three other solid offensive linemen and the talent that LSU has on the offensive side of the ball and you have a recipe for what could be one of the best offenses in the country this fall. [autotag]Garrett Nussmeier[/autotag] and the Tigers offense will try to lead [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] to his third straight 10-win season on the Bayou.
