Seahawks at Washington odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Washington 23, Seahawks 20

Money line

WASHINGTON (-110) is the play. It has won two in a row, and is playing much better.

Seattle is a rudderless ship lately. It’s likely head coach Pete Carroll is in his final days in the Pacific Northwest after a nice run.

Against the spread

PASS since the juice on Washington -0.5 (-110) is the same as Washington’s money line.

Over/Under

The lean is the UNDER 47.5 (-117), which has been the rule for both teams lately.

The Under is 4-1 in the past five games overall for Washington, while going 9-3 in the past 12 games at home.

The Under is also 5-0 in the past five road games for the Seahawks, while cashing in 16 of the past 21 overall.

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Arizona Cardinals (8-2) are on the road in Week 11 to face the Seattle Seahawks (3-6) for the first time this season. Kickoff for this NFC West showdown is 4:25 p.m. ET at Lumen Field. Below, we look at the Cardinals vs. Seahawks odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Seahawks have lost four of their last five games and were shut out 17-0 by the Green Bay Packers last week in QB Russell Wilson‘s return from injured reserve. They sit in last place in the NFC West and are banged up. Three defensive starters are questionable for the game and starting RB Chris Carson will not return this season.

The Cardinals have lost two of their last three games and played the last two weeks without QB Kyler Murray and WR DeAndre Hopkins, who have missed time with injuries. They beat the San Francisco 49ers and lost to the Carolina Panthers with QB Colt McCoy starting the last two weeks. The Cardinals are 5-0 on the road this season.

Cardinals at Seahawks odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Cardinals 24, Seahawks 20

Money line

This ultimately comes down to whether the Cardinals get Murray back or not. Considering the Cardinals’ success on the road (5-0) and Seattle’s struggles at home (1-3), the line is likely unsure about whether he will play.

The Cardinals have scored over 30 points in every road game this season, including against the San Francisco 49ers with McCoy at quarterback.

The Seahawks are 31st in yards allowed, so the Cardinals will not struggle offensively.

Take the CARDINALS (+122).

Against the spread

The Cardinals are 7-3 ATS this season but are a perfect 5-0 ATS on the road. They have won every road contest by double digits.

Seattle is 2-2 ATS at home this season.

This is not a great matchup for Seattle. They don’t allow many points but give up a ton of yards, but the Cardinals are very effective offensively. The Seahawks also don’t run the ball well, and that is the Cardinals’ defensive weakness, and backup RB Alex Collins is banged up with starter Carson ruled out for the year just this week.

Take the CARDINALS +2.5 (+102).

Over/Under

The Cardinals have put up over 30 points seven times this season and in all five of their road games. However, only three of those five games hit the Over because they also have allowed 20 or fewer points in every one of those games.

The Seahawks are 1-8 on the Over/Under this season with the lone Over hitting in a home game against the Tennessee Titans in Week 2.

Take UNDER 45.5 (-108).

Seattle Seahawks at Green Bay Packers odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Seattle Seahawks at Green Bay Packers odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Seattle Seahawks (3-5) are on the road in Week 10 to take on the Green Bay Packers (7-2) Sunday. Kickoff is 4:25 p.m. at Lambeau Field. Below, we look at the Seahawks vs. Packers odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

Seattle gets QB Russell Wilson back after a three-game stint on injured reserve following surgery on his finger. The Seahawks lost two of three games in his absence and are tied for last place in the NFC West.

The Packers, a week after beating the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8, lost QB Aaron Rodgers for their Week 9 game after he tested positive for COVID-19. He will be back in the lineup Sunday, giving the nation a premier battle between him and Wilson. The Packers lost 13-7 to the Kansas City Chiefs with Rodgers sidelined.

Seahawks at Packers odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Packers 24, Seahawks 21

Money line

The Seahawks get Russell Wilson back but they still are only 2-2 on the road this season, and he won’t fix the fact that the defense allows the second-most yards per game in the league (401.5).

The Packers are 3-0 at home this season, and with Rodgers’ return, he will certainly feel a little extra motivation.

Take the PACKERS (-170).

Against the spread

The Seahawks are 5-3 ATS this season and 3-1 ATS on the road. However, Green Bay is 8-1 ATS and 3-0 ATS at home.

The Seahawks defense is far worse at allowing yards than points. They rank 31st in yards but are a top-10 unit in terms of scoring defense, allowing 21.1 points per game.

With a showdown between Rodgers and Wilson, it is bound to come down to the wire. I don’t see this being decided by more than a field goal.

Take the SEAHAWKS +3.5 (-120).

Over/Under

The Seahawks have only had one game this season finish with a total of at least 50 points, and it was the only game that has hit the Over for them all season.

The Packers have not had a game finish with at least 50 points since Week 3. They have had only two games go Over the projected total.

Take UNDER 49.5 (-110).

Jacksonville Jaguars at Seattle Seahawks odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Jacksonville Jaguars at Seattle Seahawks Week 8 odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5) come off their bye week for a road meeting with the Seattle Seahawks (2-5) in Week 8. Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET Sunday at Lumen Field. Below, we look at the Jaguars vs. Seahawks odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Jaguars picked up their first win of the season in Week 6 with a 23-20 victory over the Miami Dolphins in London, England, on the final play of the game. PK Matt Wright hit a game-tying 54-yard field goal with 3:40 left in the game and then the game-winner from 53 yards as time expired.

The Seahawks have lost three games in a row and five of their last six, including two losses of 3 points with backup QB Geno Smith under center. Seattle remains without QB Russell Wilson who isn’t eligible to return from the injured reserve until Week 10. The Seahawks are 0-3 at home this season.

Jaguars at Seahawks odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Seahawks 20, Jaguars 17

Money line

The Jaguars have not won on the road since Week 15 of the 2019 season; their neutral-site win in London was technically a home game.

The Seahawks are in last place in the NFC West. They are winless at home this season and have lost five of six, although three of those losses were by only 3 points each.

They have been too good for too long to think they would go 0-4 at home to start a season, but it’s hard when they are without Wilson. The defense has stepped up in Wilson’s absence and that should be enough against the Jaguars.

Take the SEAHAWKS (-200).

Against the spread

The Jaguars are 2-4 ATS this season, and the Seahawks are 4-3 ATS. Four of Jacksonville’s five losses have been by double digits.

The Seahawks are struggling offensively. However, the Jaguars’ aren’t good defensively and have allowed more than 30 points three times.

I’m not willing to put money on the line to say the Jags will win, but right now I also am not willing to bet on Smith. The Seahawks win this game, but it will be a close one.

Take the JAGUARS +3.5 (-108).

Over/Under

Only one game for the Seahawks this season has hit the Over. The Jaguars are 2-4 O/U.

Seattle’s defense held the Saints to 13 points last week and they will limit the Jaguars.

It will be a surprise if the total even reaches the 40s.

Take UNDER 44.5 (-115).

New Orleans Saints at Seattle Seahawks odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Monday Night Football’s New Orleans Saints at Seattle Seahawks Week 7 odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The New Orleans Saints (3-2) travel to meet the Seattle Seahawks (2-4) at Lumen Field for Monday Night Football in Week 7. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on ESPN. Below, we look at the Saints vs. Seahawks odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Saints are coming off a bye week following a 33-22 win at the Washington Football Team in Week 5. After losing at the Carolina Panthers in Week 2, New Orleans has won and covered its past two games on the road.

With QB Russell Wilson (finger) on the injured reserve list, the Seahawks had backup QB Geno Smith start his first game of the season in Week 7’s Sunday Night Football game at the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Seahawks lost 23-20 in overtime but covered the spread as 5.5-point underdogs and cashed Under tickets a fourth consecutive time.

Saints at Seahawks odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Saints 24, Seahawks 17

Money line

The Saints (-220) will cost you more than two times your potential return. That’s just a little too expensive, especially for a road team in front of a boisterous and rowdy home crowd notorious for spurring on the home side.

AVOID and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread

The SAINTS -4.5 (-105) are worth playing lightly. Even though Smith has held down the fort and kept the Seahawks in games lately, mistakes late in contests against the Los Angeles Rams and the Steelers have cost Seattle dearly.

If Seattle looks to take pressure off of Smith in the run game, it’s likely not going to happen. New Orleans ranks second in the NFL with just 79.0 rushing yards per game allowed, and it’s fourth in the league with just 18.2 PPG allowed.

Over/Under

The UNDER 41.5 (-110) is the play as the Saints have a suffocating defense, and the Seahawks are using their backup quarterback. The scoring drives will be few and far between as the defenses show out.

The Saints rank 10th in the NFL with 125.8 rushing yards per game, and they’ll look to keep chewing up big chunks of real estate on the ground while running the clock at the same time. Under bettors love running teams.

Underdog corner: 3 best NFL picks and predictions for Week 7

Assessing the NFL betting odds and lines for Week 7, with three predictions and picks for the best underdog bets to make.

Despite NFL pointspread favorites winning a second straight week, we still had a winning week here, going 2-1 with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans coming through.

That’s now five winning weeks out of six as our season record moves to 13-5. Of our 13 underdog covers, 11 have won outright.

With six teams on a bye this week, it’s a shallow card to choose from, but come up with three we must. Here are our NFL underdog ATS picks and predictions of Week 7.

Also see: All Week 7 odds and lines

NFL underdog predictions: Week 7

Tennessee Titans +5.5 (-110) vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Over the last couple weeks:

  • The Buffalo Bills beat the Chiefs 38-20 as road underdogs in Week 5.
  • The Titans beat the Bills 34-31 as home underdogs in Week 6.
  • Now, the Chiefs are 5.5-point Week 7 road favorites over the Titans in Nashville?

An eye-catching line to be sure, but we’re not going to handicap a matchup going by results against a common foe alone.

However, the Chiefs have covered in only four of their last 17 games dating back to last season. In what should be a high-scoring affair Sunday, the mighty RB Derrick Henry and Tennessee should be able to keep it close going against a K.C. defense surrendering 133.2 rushing yards and 29.3 points per game and a league-most 6.7 yards per play.

Indianapolis Colts +4.5 (-115) at San Francisco 49ers

QB Carson Wentz and Indy started 0-3 but have won two of its last three. The loss was a 31-25 overtime setback in Week 5 on the road against the 5-1 Baltimore Ravens.

The Colts are 4-2 against the spread (ATS) – tied for fourth best in the league.

The 49ers (2-3) are coming off a bye and are expected to have QB Jimmy Garoppolo back from injury. Still, they are 1-4 ATS overall this year and 3-9 ATS as favorites since the start of last season.

The Niners very well could win Sunday night, but expect the improving Colts to keep it within the number.

Seattle Seahawks +4.5 (-110) vs. New Orleans Saints

In the 11 combined games involving the Saints and Seahawks this season, the underdogs have covered eight times with seven outright wins.

In addition, the home team has won all six Monday night games so far, going 5-1 ATS in process. So, Seattle was the choice to round out our underdog card.

We realize the Saints have had a bye week to prepare and the QB Geno Smith-led Seahawks are playing a second straight game without elite QB Russell Wilson.

But we’re banking on seeing more of the fight Seattle showed last week at the Pittsburgh Steelers – egged on this time by the always-raucous Seattle primetime crowd – and also one or two of the typical mistakes from Saints QB Jameis Winston to help the home team get the Monday night cover.

Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Seattle Seahawks (2-3) are on the road in Week 6 and to face the Pittsburgh Steelers (2-3) Sunday night. Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. ET at Heinz Field. Below, we look at the Seahawks vs. Steelers odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

Seattle lost starting QB Russell Wilson for the next four to eight weeks after he underwent surgery to repair an injured finger, forcing him to miss a game for the first time in his career. The Seahawks will take the field with QB Geno Smith under center, who has not started a game since 2017. The Seahawks lead the league in yards allowed with 450.8 yards per game.

The Steelers are coming off a 27-19 home win over the Denver Broncos in Week 5. Rookie RB Najee Harris rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown while QB Ben Roethlisberger threw 2 touchdown passes. It was the first game this season he had multiple touchdowns.

Seahawks at Steelers odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Steelers 24, Seahawks 16

Money line

The Seahawks will have Smith starting at quarterback and will not have Carson, their top running back. Smith has not won a start since 2016.

The Steelers have struggled offensively, averaging only 319.6 yards and 18.8 points per game, but they get to face a Seahawks team that allows more than 450 yards per game.

Pittsburgh will force a turnover or two and will take advantage offensively when they get the chance.

Take the STEELERS (-230).

Against the spread

Both the Steelers and Seahawks are 2-3 ATS this season, although the Seahawks are 2-1 ATS on the road.

The Steelers have struggled against explosive offenses and if Wilson were starting for the Seahawks, that would be the case now. However, with no Wilson or Carson, the Seahawks will struggle to move the ball.

I don’t like the Seahawks at all in this one.

Take the STEELERS -4.5 (-110).

Over/Under

The Seahawks have had only one of five games hit the Over this season. Such is the case as well with the Steelers.

Seattle will struggle to score and this will be a lot like the Steelers’ win over the Broncos last weekend.

Take UNDER 43.5 (-115).

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks odds, picks and predictions: Player prop bets

Analyzing the Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks Week 5 matchup and offering up expert picks and predictions on the top player prop bets.

Week 5 of the NFL season begins with an NFC West showdown on Thursday Night Football. The Los Angeles Rams (3-1) and Seattle Seahawks (2-2) battle in an 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff at Lumen Field in Seattle. Below, we look at the Rams vs. Seahawks prop bet odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Rams lost their first game of the year in Week 4, falling 37-20 to the Arizona Cardinals. The defense allowed 465 total yards and QB Matthew Stafford threw a first-quarter interception. WR Cooper Kupp was held to 5 catches for 64 yards.

The Seahawks defeated the San Francisco 49ers 28-21 in Week 4. QB Russell Wilson threw two touchdown passes and rushed for another in the win. The defense, though, allowed 457 yards and three touchdown passes, although they held the Niners to 2-for-14 on third down.

Rams QB Matthew Stafford OVER 2.5 TD passes (+120)

Stafford has 11 touchdown passes on the season and had 3 or more in two of four games. The Seahawks allowed 3 touchdown passes to Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins in Week 3 and allowed 3 more to the 49ers in Week 4.

Rams QB Matthew Stafford OVER 305.5 passing yards (-114)

The Seahawks allowed 313 or more passing yards in each of their last three games. Stafford passed for more than 305 yards twice. Seattle allows the fifth-most passing yards per game in the league.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp UNDER 7.5 receptions (-143)

Kupp had 9 receptions twice this season and 7 receptions once. However, the Seahawks, despite having a questionable pass defense, have allowed a receiver to have 8 or more receptions only once.

Seahawks WR DK Metcalf OVER 5.5 receptions (-149)

Metcalf had 6 receptions in two games this season. The Rams have allowed at least one receiver to have at least 6 receptions in three of their four games.

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson UNDER 1.5 passing TDs (+128)

Wilson had multiple touchdown passes in three of four games this season. However, the Rams have allowed only one quarterback to throw multiple touchdown passes in a game. That was Kyler Murray in their loss to the Cardinals last week. Wilson had only 1 touchdown pass in his last three regular-season games against the Rams.

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Thursday’s Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Los Angeles Rams (3-1) and Seattle Seahawks (2-2) kick off Week 5 with Thursday Night Football when they square off at Lumen Field in Seattle. This NFC West showdown is set for 8:20 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Rams vs. Seahawks odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Rams were just blown out 37-20 by the Arizona Cardinals Sunday. The game wasn’t even as close as the score indicates, either, as it was completely lopsided in favor of the Cardinals. The Rams are still sixth in scoring, however, and have QB Matthew Stafford playing at a high level in his first season with the team.

The Seahawks snapped their two-game losing skid with a win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4, largely thanks to QB Russell Wilson‘s three total touchdowns. Seattle has allowed the most yards in the NFL through four weeks, so it has been a struggle on that side of the ball.

Rams at Seahawks odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Rams 27, Seahawks 24

Money line

The Rams are 15-5 after a loss in Sean McVay’s tenure as head coach. They’ve dropped back-to-back games only five times in the last four years, and I don’t expect that number to grow this week.

They have a better offense and defense than Seattle, and the Seahawks’ struggles against the run will allow the Rams to control the clock and be more balanced on offense.

Bet the RAMS (-135) to win outright on the road.

Also see: Bet Slippin’ Podcast

Against the spread

The Rams are 2-2 against the spread, as are the Seahawks. The Rams are 6-3 straight up in their last nine games against Seattle, including January’s NFC Wild Card win on the road.

Playing in Seattle will be tougher this season with fans in the stands, but the Rams should probably be bigger favorites than the 2.5 points they’re giving – even on the road. I like the RAMS -2.5 (-110) to win by at least 3 points.

Over/Under

Despite Seattle’s struggles on defense and the explosiveness of its offense, the total has only gone Over in only one of four games thus far. The Rams, on the other hand, have pushed the total Over in each of their four games.

The Over is only 1-2 in the last three meetings between these teams and after the Rams failed to stop Cardinals QB Kyler Murray, they will bounce back by keeping Wilson in check. Bet the UNDER 54.5 (-108).

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The San Francisco 49ers (2-1) and Seattle Seahawks (1-2) meet in Week 4 for an NFC West showdown. Kickoff is at 4:05 p.m. ET at Levi’s Stadium. Below, we look at the Seahawks vs. 49ers odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Seahawks lost back-to-back games after a season-opening win over the Indianapolis Colts. The issue has been defense, as Seattle allowed 33 points to the Tennessee Titans and 30 to the Minnesota Vikings. QB Russell Wilson has thrown 7 touchdown passes in three games without an interception.

The 49ers suffered their first loss of the season in Week 3, falling 30-28 to the Green Bay Packers on a last-second field goal after they had scored a go-ahead touchdown with under a minute left. The offense has been uneven, with 41 points in Week 1, only 17 in Week 2 and 28 in Week 3. The Niners have had defensive issues as well while allowing two of their three opponents to score 30 or more points.

Seahawks at 49ers odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

49ers 34, Seahawks 28

Money line

The Seahawks handled a Colts offense that has struggled this season but have not stopped anyone else. The 49ers have been very good offensively in two of three games.

The Seahawks are the only team in the division with a negative point differential but they won 13 of the last 15 games between the two teams.

San Francisco lost their home opener and will not want to drop its first two at home. QB Jimmy Garoppolo was 7-3 at home over the previous two seasons.

Take the 49ERS (-155).

Against the spread

Both teams are 1-2 ATS this season.

The 49ers’ twos wins this year were each by 6 or more points. The Seahawks have not covered the spread in a loss, although this is the first game in which they’ve been underdogs.

This is really a toss-up game but expecting a 49ers win, 2.5 points is too few to think the Seahawks would lose but cover.

Take the 49ERS -2.5 (-130).

Over/Under

Both teams have one game where they kept their opponent under 20 points but their other two opponents scored at least 30.

Both offenses are explosive and both defenses have shown they can be scored on.

This will be a shootout. Take OVER 51.5 (-115).
