Former Ohio State receiver signs with Rams

Former Ohio State receiver signs with Rams #GoBucks

Now that the madness of the NFL draft has ended, former Ohio State players who weren’t chosen are seeking opportunities to continue their football careers. One former walk-on, Sam Wiglusz, may have found his new home with the Los Angeles Rams.

Most fans will remember Wiglusz due to the success he had as an Ohio Bobcat. Before landing in Athens, he was a Buckeye for four seasons. After receiving a redshirt in 2018, he played in four games the next two years combined. In 2021, he received snaps in six games, but never cracked the two-deep.

He then transferred to Ohio and was named first-team All-MAC both seasons. Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye and we are wishing good luck to Wiglusz in the NFL.

8 Prospects to watch during Week 0 of the college football season

During College Football’s Week 0, keep an eye on these prospects

On Saturday, August 26th, it will be 229 days since the last college football game kicked off. That’s 33 long Saturdays without college football. However, starting at 2:30 p.m., college football will officially be back. That means that we are getting our first look at some of the names that will be called next April.

Saturday has a slate of seven games on the docket, including two ranked teams:

  • Navy @ #13 Notre Dame in Dublin, Ireland
  • UTEP @ Jacksonville State
  • UMass @ New Mexico State
  • Ohio @ San Diego State
  • Hawaii @ Vanderbilt
  • San Jose State @ #6 USC
  • Florida International University @ Louisiana Tech

In this exercise, we are going to look at some of the prospects that will be donning the field on Saturday.

Ohio State walk-on wide receiver transferring

Good luck to Sam! #GoBucks

Four-year Ohio State walk-on wide receiver Sam Wiglusz is transferring to another program according to an announcement made on his Twitter account.

Wiglusz did register some stats during his time in the scarlet and gray, notching three catches for 25 yards in his career, but he was mostly practicing hard working to make those that logged most of the time on the field better.

The 5-foot, 11-inch, 189-pounder out of Brecksville-Broadview Heights in Ohio could have probably started at many other colleges in the country, and now he’ll get that chance in Athens, Ohio, with the Bobcats.

“Forever grateful for my time at Ohio State,” Wiglusz posted on his personal Twitter account. “The things I’ve learned, experiences I’ve had, and people I’ve met have changed my life and I’ve loved every second of it. However, I’m really excited for what’s next, and happy to announce I’ll be grad-transferring to Ohio University.”

As always, we wish Wiglusz nothing but the best in the MAC.
