Notre Dame lands four-star center, top 2025 Minnesota recruit

Micah Shrewsberry is doing something right.

For the fourth time in the span of a week, [autotag]Micah Shrewsberry[/autotag] has proven that Notre Dame now is an attractive program for big-time recruits. That’s the story after [autotag]Tommy Ahneman[/autotag], a four-star center and the top 2025 recruit in Minnesota, has committed to the Irish. only two days after making his official visit.

Ahneman joins a 2025 Irish class that has netted [autotag]Brady Koehler[/autotag], [autotag]Ryder Frost[/autotag] and [autotag]Jalen Haralson[/autotag], the program’s highest-rated commit since the internet started tracking rankings, over the past week. This should strengthen the Irish’s hold as the top-ranked 2025 recruiting class according to 247Sports.

Ahneman especially attracted interest from Big Ten programs and was scheduled to make official visits to Minnesota and Iowa in October. Clearly, those won’t happen anymore unless he only wants to pay lip service to those programs.

When asked by On3 why he picked the Irish, Ahneman said this:

“I chose Notre Dame because of what they have – a great atmosphere, great people, and a great recruiting class that I now get to be a part of.”

And if that doesn’t excite you, try this quote on for size:

Get on the Irish bandwagon now, folks. The latter half of the 2020s is shaping up to be quite promising.

Wisconsin basketball top class of 2025 target commits to Notre Dame

Another recruiting loss for Greg Gard and company

Wisconsin basketball top class of 2025 target Ryder Frost committed to Notre Dame on Friday.

The top-100 recruit chose the Fighting Irish over other finalists Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Virginia Tech and Syracuse.

247Sports currently rank Frost as the No. 85 overall player in the class of 2025, No. 17 small forward and No. 3 recruit from his home state of New Hampshire.

The four-star small forward’s commitment decision comes less than two weeks after he officially visited Wisconsin during the football program’s home game against Alabama. He is the second of the Badgers’ top 2025 targets to commit elsewhere recently, joining in-state four-star SG Amari Allen.

Wisconsin currently has two players committed to its class of 2025: four-star shooting guard Zach Kinziger and three-star center Will Garlock. Greg Gard and his staff are still in pursuit of several high-profile targets in the class, headlined by top-30 shooting guard Davion Hannah.

Four-star 2025 New Hampshire forward commits to Notre Dame

Guess who now has the top 2025 recruiting class?

Easily the best recruiting week for Notre Dame since [autotag]Micah Shrewsberry[/autotag] took over wrapped up appropriately. The Irish received three commits for their 2025 class every other day, and the future of the program seems set as a result.

[autotag]Ryder Frost[/autotag], a four-star forward recruit and the third-ranked 2025 recruit from New Hampshire according to 247Sports, has committed to the Irish, joining [autotag]Jalen Haralson[/autotag] and [autotag]Brady Koehler[/autotag] from earlier in the week. Just missing out on Frost were other finalists Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Syracuse and Virginia Tech.

The Irish now rank first overall in 247Sports 2025 recruiting class rankings with one five-star commit, who also happens to be the highest-rated recruit since the internet started tracking such ratings, and two four-star commits. Iowa State, which ranks second, is over two-and-a-half points behind. If that doesn’t give you cause for excitement, nothing will.

Chances are you missed Frost’s announcement on the 247Sports YouTube channel so here it is:

Shrewsberry has convinced some serious talent to commit to South Bend, and it won’t be long before that talent is around to try and return the Irish to glory that mostly has been elusive for some time.

Notre Dame basketball makes top-7 for 2025 New Hampshire small forward

The Irish are in on another top prospect

As Notre Dame basketball continues its search for commitment No. 1 of the 2025 cycle, they continue to advance on in many elite prospects cut lists.

This time it was New Hampshire small forward [autotag]Ryder Frost[/autotag], who on Sunday afternoon trimmed his list down to seven schools: Penn State, Michigan, Iowa, Syracuse, Yale, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and the Irish.

At 6-foot, 6-inches and 205-pounds, he ranked just outside the top-100, at No. 102 according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Frost has set up three official visits, to the Badgers, Hawkeyes and the Orangemen. By reading the recruiting tea leaves, it looks like Notre Dame will have to make up some ground in his recruitment.

If the Irish are able to get Frost onto campus, they should be considered legit contenders for his commitment. Until that happens, they are most likely on the outside, looking in.

Wisconsin makes final schools for top class of 2025 SF Ryder Frost

Wisconsin makes final schools for top 2025 SF Ryder Frost

Wisconsin basketball made the final eight schools for top class of 2025 small forward Ryder Frost on Sunday.

The Badgers were included on Frost’s list along with Notre Dame, Michigan, Syracuse, Yale, Virginia Tech, Iowa and Penn State. 247Sports’ Dushawn London reports that Frost has additional visits scheduled for this fall to five of those eight schools: Virginia Tech, Iowa, Michigan, Notre Dame and Wisconsin

Frost is currently ranked by 247Sports as the No. 102 player in the class, No. 21 small forward and No. 2 recruit from the state of New Hampshire.

The 6’6,” 205-pound small forward is listed on Wisconsin basketball’s loaded Sept. 14 visit weekend. He is part of a group that also includes top-ranked 2025 recruits Davion Hannah, Amari Allen and Tommy Ahneman.

That weekend has become the most important to Wisconsin’s efforts in the class. It is also the weekend that Badger football hosts Alabama.

Wisconsin’s class of 2025 currently ranks No. 8 in the nation with two players committed — four-star SG Zach Kinziger and three-star C Will Garlock.

The two commits, both from in-state recruits, have built a strong foundation for a class that could become one of the nation’s best if it adds any of Hannah, Allen, Ahneman or Frost from the Sept. 14 official visit weekend.

Wisconsin offers three-star class of 2025 forward from Massachusetts

Wisconsin offers three-star class of 2025 forward from Massachusetts

The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team offered Ryder Frost, a three-star class of 2025 forward from Beverly, Massachusetts, on Wednesday. The 6-foot-6, 205-pound athlete is considered a small forward and has drawn plenty of attention from college programs.

To this point, Frost has received 20 Division 1 offers, including from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin from within the Big Ten. Of the programs that have extended scholarship offers to him, NC State, Syracuse and Wisconsin are the only three to reach the Final Four in the last decade.

Greg Gard and his staff have secured one commitment for the class of 2025 so far, reeling in three-star guard Zach Kinziger (De Pere, WI). In regards to offers, four-star Davion Hannah (Milwaukee, WI) and three-star LaTrevion Fenderson (Racine, WI) are the two other undecided small forwards who the Badgers have offered.

Considering the amount of offers each player has, it’ll likely be a while before any commitment decisions will be made.

Notre Dame extends offer to 2025 Massachusetts small forward

Hope the Irish get him.

Even with the 2024-25 season months away from tipping off, Notre Dame remains focused on the distant future. After all, you need to have new players all the time in order for your program to have a future.

While there are no commits for the Irish’s 2025 recruiting class yet, they’re going to do everything they can to give themselves as many options as possible. One of them apparently is 6-foot-6 small forward recruit Ryder Frost of Beverly, Massachusetts since he posted the following on social media:

Frost, the fifth-ranked 2025 Massachusetts recruit according to 247Sports, already has offers from over a dozen other schools. In fact, Frost has been offered by many ACC programs in only the past couple of days: Syracuse, Wake Forest, NC State, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech.

So the Irish have their work cut out for them as far as landing Frost. With luck, that work will pay off.
