It’s unlikely that anyone was happier with [autotag]Jalen Haralson'[/autotag]s commitment to Notre Dame than [autotag]Micah Shrewsberry[/autotag]. It showed that he can get the job done when it comes to recruiting, and there’s no greater evidence of that than Haralson being the highest-rated Irish commit since the internet began ranking recruits in 2000.
There was only one place for Shrewsberry and assistant coach [autotag]Ryan Owens[/autotag] to be Wednesday, and that was La Lumiere in La Porte, Haralson’s school where he made his announcement. Afterwards, Haralson came outside and embraced both of them.
This has to be Shrewsberry’s best moment since he took over the program 18 months ago. While his success during his final season at Penn State undoubtedly made believers out of him, many wondered if he could build back a program that had fallen on hard times. This recruiting win is clear evidence that when all is said and done, the answer to that question is on its way to being a big yes.
Here’s the moment that will warm your heart:

We don’t know who else Shrewsberry and his staff will be able to successfully recruit while with the Irish, but if this is any indication, the college basketball world better not sleep on this program.
