Ryan Fitzpatrick ruthlessly called out the age gap in Bill Belichick’s relationship on Twitter

Ryan Fitzpatrick said what everyone’s been thinking about Bill Belichick’s relationship.

Bill Belichick might be the greatest football coach of all time.

However, none of his professional accomplishments should make us gloss over his relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson. That’s right, folks. In case you were unaware, Belichick, who is more than old enough to be collecting social security at the age of 72, has been dating the 24-year-old woman. As in, someone still old enough to be on their parents’ insurance plan.

For you math majors at home, that is a 48-year age gap.

This led longtime NFL quarterback and current Thursday Night Football analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick to say what many, many people have been thinking on Twitter when he saw Hudson’s Belichick costume for Halloween:

Oh … my goodness. Good for someone as well-known in NFL circles as Fitzpatrick to call Belichick out for the age gap here. Maybe we’ll see even more now that the floodgates are open.

Ryan Fitzpatrick had a funny reaction to ‘TNF’ game featuring Broncos and Colts

Ryan Fitzpatrick joked (?) that the 12-9 game between the Broncos and Colts in 2022 made him question becoming a TNF analyst.

Two years ago, the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts faced off in a Thursday Night Football snoozefest.

The game was so ugly that former NFL quarterback and current NFL on Prime commentator Ryan Fitzpatrick joked (?) that it made him question becoming a TNF analyst.

“This game had me questioning post career decisions,” Fitzpatrick wrote on Twitter/X.

Colts quarterback Matt Ryan was sacked six times and threw two interceptions. He ended the day 26-of-41 passing for 251 yards with no touchdowns and a passer rating of 60.1.

Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson was sacked four times and also threw two interceptions. He ended the day 21-of-39 passing for 274 yards with no touchdowns and a passer rating of 54.9.

Three Indianapolis players fumbled and two Denver players fumbled. The teams combined to have four turnovers and 10 sacks in an ugly offensive effort.

The game was decided by the kickers. Chase McLaughlin of the Colts was a perfect 4-of-4 on his field goal attempts while the Broncos’ Brandon McManus went 3-of-4. That missed field goal ended up being the difference in a 12-9 game.

The Broncos will aim to turn in a more entertaining performance when they face the New Orleans Saints on TNF on Oct. 17.

NFL analyst and former Titans QB rips Brian Callahan on handling of Levis

Another week, another NFL Analyst calls out coach Brian Callahan for comments on quarterback Will Levis.

Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan is still searching for that first win. Heading into Week 3, the team has shown signs. The defense has played well enough to have this team at 2-0 instead of 0-2, but the offense and special teams have let them down.

While most of the heat has been pointed to Will Levis and his shaky decision-making, the issues on offense go much deeper. The wide receivers are invisible, and the offensive line has not been good. Callahan was hired because of his offensive prowess, so much of this falls squarely on him.

Again this week, Callahan has been criticized for his handling of Levis. This time, former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick chimed in on X.

“Admittedly, don’t know much about him (Callahan), but watching these three clips, especially the press conference clip, made my blood boil.

https://twitter.com/FitzMagic_14/status/1835732235636662404

Fitzpatrick is speaking from experience, and the development of Levis has not gone as expected. Whether you are a Levis fan or not, he may be on to something. Publically beating down a young quarterback will only hasten a decrease in confidence in the young signal caller.

Maybe Callahan should get in the meeting room and realize Levis is not Joe Burrow at this stage and build a game plan that suits the situation and would limit the decision-making. A great example would be this simple: get the ball out of Levis’ hands quickly with the offensive line struggling.

This is in no way defending Levis’ decisions and plays; some of those are unacceptable. But consistently mentioning Levis and glossing over the other issues is not a great way to develop a young quarterback.

This week, Callahan and the Titans will face a young quarterback who could not make the Titans roster: Malik Willis. After being in Green Bay for a short time, he led the Green Bay Packers to a victory in his first start for injured quarterback Jordan Love and played what was possibly the best game of his young career.

The Titans will take on the Packers Sunday at Nissan Stadium, and the two young quarterbacks will be at center stage. Callahan hopes, his young quarterback gives him the edge and his first victory as a head coach.

Ryan Fitzpatrick gives his prediction for Chiefs’ 2024 season

#Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. spoke to Ryan Fitzpatrick about his thoughts on Kansas City’s chances of completing the three-peat. | @EdEastonJr

The Kansas City Chiefs are weeks away from opening training camp in preparation for the 2024 season. Expectations and stakes are high as they have a rare shot at making NFL history.

Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. spoke to Ryan Fitzpatrick about his thoughts on Kansas City’s chances of completing the three-peat and his assessment of this year’s American Century Championship, which will be held Friday through Sunday, July 12-14.

“I would say there are probably four different tiers of golfers,” Fitzpatrick explained. “There are ten guys that can win it every year. There are ten guys that are competitive every year. And then there are two tiers in between. Some guys are pretty good golfers but don’t have a chance at winning.

“I’m in that third tier of my game, which is very temperamental, so depending on the day of a year or two, you’ll definitely see some double bogeys, but it is a lot. When guys go out there to play for the first time, they have to learn, just to keep the proper perspective, because we’re not all professional golfers, but it’s great interacting with the fans and having fun out there.”

The Chiefs had many doubters during last year’s troubles on offense but still managed to win a third Super Bowl in five years. The prospect of winning three Super Bowls in a row is the burning question everyone has an opinion on, including Fitzpatrick.

“I think it will be extremely difficult, but I doubted Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes last year, so I learned my lesson,” Fitzpatrick said. “I will never doubt those two. It was amazing that they were able to pull off what they did last year to win the Super Bowl. I wouldn’t have them as the favorites, but I can’t doubt them because they’ve already made me eat crow once.”

Ryan Fitzpatrick discusses ‘Amazon Prime’ career, Patrick Mahomes’ success

#Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. spoke to Ryan Fitzpatrick about his transition to becoming an analyst and his thoughts on Patrick Mahomes. | @EdEastonJr

The immediate success of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has placed him atop the league. Players past and present have marveled at his abilities and continue to give their opinions on what could be the secret to his domination.

Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. spoke to Ryan Fitzpatrick about his transition to becoming a television analyst for Amazon Prime’s football coverage after retirement and his thoughts on Patrick Mahomes.

“I think it’s been helpful in transitioning to something post-career because I’m still around the game so much and because we travel to the stadiums to interact with the players and the coaches,” Fitzpatrick explained. “I played on nine teams. So it seems like every week, there are coaches, training staff, equipment guys, and players that I was able to play with and play for.

“It’s really helped me keep those relationships and make some new ones with these players and kind of the budding stars of the NFL. But it’s been, it’s been great. It’s been a lot of fun. Football has been a big part of my life, so to continue to do it and share my knowledge and perspective with the fans has been a lot of fun.”

Fitzpatrick has used his many years of experience to give educated opinions on players. He shared what he believes has been critical to Mahomes’s unrivaled success rate throughout his NFL career.

“I think the biggest thing with Patrick Mahomes is; anybody that’s on the field with him has an expectation that they’re going to win, and so that added confidence that he brings to a team, the relationship that he has with Andy Reid, and their ability to put points on the board at any moment, and then also, his enthusiasm he plays the game,” said Fitzpatrick. “It rubs off on his teammates, and he demands a lot out of them and obviously has the track record to demand a lot out of them, so he gets the most out of the guys he plays with.”

Fitzpatrick will be at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course during the second week of July for the annual American Century Championship starting Friday-Sunday, July 12-14. The nationally televised (NBC/Golf Channel/Peacock) tournament features 90 sports and entertainment celebrities. He provided an honest analysis of his game plan heading into the tournament.

“I’m always just hoping for positive points, so I’m not in the negatives. I think this will be my best tournament yet, and I feel pretty good about where my game is right now,” said Fitzpatrick. “So that means I hope to be somewhere from shooting like an 81 to an 84 every day. I’d be really happy if I did that for the three days of the tournament. That’ll put me in positive numbers.”

Ryan Fitzpatrick reflects on 2019 season finale that clinched first-round bye for Chiefs

#Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. spoke to Ryan Fitzpatrick, discussing the aftermath of his game-winning drive in the 2019 season finale. | @EdEastonJr

Many consider the Kansas City Chiefs to be the NFL’s latest dynasty. The team won its second Super Bowl title in franchise history during the 2019 season, and one of the most underrated factors in their success that year was quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, who wasn’t on Kansas City’s roster.

Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. spoke to Fitzpatrick ahead of the American Century Championship golf tournament and discussed the upcoming event on the links as well as the aftermath of his game-winning drive in the 2019 regular-season finale that clinched Kansas City a first-round bye.

“The American Century Championship is awesome. It’s one of my favorite weekends of the year. I know that so many athletes, celebrities, and comedians play in this thing every year that I really look forward to it, and Americans Century does such a great job putting it on,” said Fitzpatrick of the golf tournament. “[It] seems like it’s getting bigger and bigger every year. With the fans, there’s prize money for the golfers, which is competitive and great, and American Century’s commitment to their charitable causes. You know, almost $8 million has been given away to charity through this term.”

As a member of the Miami Dolphins, Fitzpatrick led a game-winning drive against the heavily favored New England Patriots in the 2019 regular-season finale. The victory didn’t help the already-eliminated Dolphins, but it did catapult the Chiefs into the number two seed which, at that time, secured them a first-round bye in the postseason.

“Every time I see a Chiefs fan, they come up to me and say something,” Fitzpatrick explained. “I’ve been in Kansas City a few times for Thursday night football or my cousin’s wedding, but Chiefs fans in general, in the airport, I get that quite a bit still. It was a great memory for me, and obviously one that Chiefs fans really appreciate and will always remember.”

The victory was critical for the Chiefs on their way to winning Super Bowl LIV as they kept home-field advantage through the AFC Championship game. Fitzpatrick was still acknowledged for his heroics in this happening, and it wasn’t limited to just fans in Kansas City.

“Jonathan Thomas, the CEO of American Century, sent me some Kansas City barbecue,” said Fitzpatrick, “because he was so appreciative of that win.”

Ryan Fitzpatrick weighs in on Chiefs vs. Bills rivalry

In a recent interview, former NFL QB Ryan Fitzpatrick told @EdEastonJr his thoughts on the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills rivalry | @EdEastonJr

The Kansas City Chiefs have held the upper hand over their AFC rival Buffalo Bills in the postseason over their last three meetings. The marquee matchup between star quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen is expected to be a must-see attraction for years to come, regardless of the team’s records.

Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. spoke to Ryan Fitzpatrick about who he believes is the best NFL golfer ahead of this year’s American Century Championship, and the Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills rivalry.

“I think Tony Romo has proved that [he is the best] over the years,” Fitzpatrick said. “He’s won the American Central Championship three times, but he’s certainly one of those guys in the top three in terms of the odds and wins this thing every year.”

The annual tournament awards $750,000 in prize money, much of which is donated by the celebrity players to local and national charities. Nearly $8 million has been donated to non-profit causes over the years. Competition fuels not only on the golf course but also on the football field, with the ongoing rivalry between Kansas City and Buffalo.

“As a huge fan of the NFL, I now see these quarterback rivalries with Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes… This is what everybody always wants to see, and unfortunately, in the playoffs, it’s been one-sided,” Fitzpatrick explained. “This is going to be a rivalry that continues because they are two of the best quarterbacks in the game. So, we will see this matchup year after year, just like we got to be treated to Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. Whenever Josh Allen is on the football field, the Bills will have a chance to win the Super Bowl.”

Fitzpatrick played four of his 17 seasons in the NFL with the Bills, his longest-tenured team.

Andrew Whitworth among 4 former Rams playing in marquee celebrity golf tournament

Andrew Whitworth and Jerome Bettis are among four former Rams teeing it up in the star-studded American Century Championship golf tournament

The American Century Championship is the biggest celebrity golf tournament around, bringing star athletes and entertainers to the course in Tahoe each and every summer. Everyone from Justin Timberlake to Steph Curry have played in the event, and this year, a handful of former Rams players will be in the field, too.

The American Century Championship announced the participants in this year’s tournament, which will be held from July 10-14, and these four ex-Rams will be teeing it up:

  • Jerome Bettis
  • Ryan Fitzpatrick
  • Baker Mayfield
  • Andrew Whitworth

Fitzpatrick only played two years with the Rams, and Mayfield was in Los Angeles for less than half a season, but they still qualify as former members of the franchise. Like Fitzpatrick, Bettis was drafted by the Rams, spending three years with the organization from 1993-1995. Whitworth, of course, was signed in 2017 and spent five years with the Rams, helping them win Super Bowl LVI against the Bengals.

Among the other current and former NFL stars playing in the ACC tournament are Davante Adams, Tim Brown, Larry Fitzgerald, Dwight Freeney, Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Peterson. For the full field of players, click here.
